this paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. the influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. to depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAm).the effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

the benefits of regular physical activity are well ***,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(PA)into curricula within a post-secondary *** investigate the incorporation of PA into medical curriculum,we developed a series of optional exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce musculoskeletal(msK)anatomy course *** synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anatomy *** fitness instructor would lead students through both strength and yoga style exercises,while the anatomy instructor asked questions about relevant anatomical structures related to course material previously *** the sessions,participants were asked to evaluate the classes on their self-reported exam preparedness in improving msK anatomy knowledge,PA levels,and mental *** participants completed surveys;a majority agreed that the classes increased understanding of msK concepts(90.0%)and activity levels(97.7%).many(70.0%)felt that the classes helped reduce *** majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the classes contributed to increased feelings of social ***,medical students saw benefit in PA based interventions to supplement msK course *** with increasing activity levels and promoting health behaviours,integrating PA into medical curriculum may improve comprehension of learning material,alleviate stress and foster social connectivity among medical students.

Investigations of mechanical, electronic, and magnetic properties of non-magnetic mgte and ferro-magnetic mg_(0.75)t m_(0.25)te (tm = Fe, Co, Ni): An ab-initio calculation

the mechanical, electronic and magnetic properties of non-magnetic mgte and ferro-magnetic （Fm） mgo.75 tm025 te （tm = Fe, Co, Ni） in the zinc-blende phase are studied by ab-initio calculations for the first time. We use the generalized gradient approximation functional for computing the structural stability, and mechanical properties, while the modified Becke and Johnson local （spin） density approximation （mBJLDA） is utilized for determining the electronic and magnetic properties. By comparing the energies of non-magnetic and Fm calculations, we find that the compounds are stable in the Fm phase, which is confirmed by their structural stabilities in terms of enthalpy of formation. Detailed descriptions of elastic properties of mgo.75tmo.25te alloys in the Fm phase are also presented. For electronic properties, the spin- polarized electronic band structures and density of states are computed, showing that these compounds are direct bandgap materials with strong hybridizations of tm 3d states and te p states. Further, the ferromagnetism is discussed in terms of the Zener free electron model, RKKY model and double exchange model. the charge density contours in the （110） plane are calculated to study bonding properties. the spin exchange splitting and crystal field splitting energies are also calculated. the distribution of electron spin density is employed in computing the magnetic moments appearing at the magnetic sites （Fe, Co, Ni）, as well as at the non-magnetic sites （mg, te）. It is found that the p-d hybridization causes not only magnetic moments on the magnetic sites but also induces negligibly small magnetic moments at the non-magnetic sites.

We investigate the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model for a two-dimensional laminar boundary layer flow of an incompressible Oldroyd-B fluid over a linearly stretching sheet. mathematical formulation of the boundary layer problems is given. the nonlinear partial differential equations are converted into the ordinary differential equations using similarity transformatioris. the dimensionless velocity and temperature profiles are obtained through optimal homotopy analysis method （OHAm）. the influences of the physical parameters on the velocity and the temperature are pointed out. the results show that the temperature and the thermal boundary layer thickness are smaller in the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model than those in the Fourier＇s law of heat conduction.

Compton profiles of NiO and tiO_2 obtained from first principles GWA spectral function

In this work,we first use momentum density studies to understand strongly correlated electron behavior,which is typically seen in transition metal *** observe that correlated electron behavior as seen in bulk NiO is due to the Fermi break located in the middle of overlapping spectral functions obtained from a GW（G is Green’s function and W is the screened Coulomb interaction） approximation（GWA） calculation while in the case of tiO2 we can see that the origin of the constant momentum distribution in lower momenta is due to a pile up of spectra before the Fermi *** observations are then used to compare our calculated Compton profiles with previous experimental studies of Fukamachi and *** calculations for NiO are observed to follow the same trend as the experimental profile but it is seen to have a wide difference in the case of tiO2 before the Fermi *** ground state momentum densities differ significantly from the quasiparticle momentum density,thus stressing the importance of the quasiparticle wave function as the input for the study of charge density and the electron localization *** we perform a calculation of the quasiparticle renormalization function,giving a quantitative description of the discontinuity of the GWA momentum density.

Dirac R-matrix calculations of photoionization cross sections of Ni Ⅻ and atomic structure data of Ni 

We performed R-matrix calculations for photoionization cross sections of the two ground state configuration 3s^23p^5（~2P_（3/2,1/2）~o） levels and 12 excited states of Ni Ⅻ using relativistic Dirac Atomic R-matrix Codes（DARC） across the photon energy range between the ionizations thresholds of the corresponding states and well above the thresholds of the last level of the Ni XIII target ion. Generally, a good agreement is obtained between our results and the earlier theoretical photoionization cross sections. moreover, we have used two independent fully relativistic GRAsP and FAC codes to calculate fine-structure energy levels, wavelengths, oscillator strengths, transitions rates among the lowest 48 levels belonging to the configuration（3s^23p^4, 3s3p^5, 3p^6, 3s^23p^33d） in Ni XIII. Additionally, radiative lifetimes of all the excited states of Ni XIII are presented. Our results of the atomic structure of Ni XIII show good agreement with other theoretical and experimental results available in the literature. A good agreement is found between our calculated lifetimes and the experimental *** present results are useful for plasma diagnostic of fusion and astrophysical plasmas.

Large scale silver nanowires network fabricated by meV hydrogen (H＋) ion beam irradiation

A random two-dimensional large scale nano-network of silver nanowires （Ag-NWs） is fabricated by meV hydrogen （H＋） ion beam irradiation. Ag-NWs are irradiated under H＋ ion beam at different ion fluences at room temperature. the Ag-NW network is fabricated by H＋ ion beam-induced welding of Ag-NWs at intersecting positions. H＋ ion beam induced welding is confirmed by transmission electron microscopy （tEm） and scanning electron microscopy （sEm）. moreover, the structure of Ag NWs remains stable under H＋ ion beam, and networks are optically transparent. morphology also remains stable under H＋ ion beam irradiation. No slicings or cuttings of Ag-NWs are observed under meV H＋ ion beam irradiation. the results exhibit that the formation of Ag-NW network proceeds through three steps： ion beam induced thermal spikes lead to the local heating of Ag-NWs, the formation of simple junctions on small scale, and the formation of a large scale network. this observation is useful for using Ag-NWs based devices in upper space where protons are abandoned in an energy range from meV to GeV. this high-quality Ag-NW network can also be used as a transparent electrode for optoelectronics devices.

A glance on the effects of temperature on axisymmetric dynamic behavior of multiwall carbon nanotubes

In this paper the effects of temperature on the radial breathing modes （RBms） and radial wave propaga- tion in multiwall carbon nanotubes （mWCNts） are inves- tigated using a continuum model of multiple elastic isotropic shells. the van der Waals forces between tubes are simulated as a nonlinear function of interlayer spacing of mWCNts. the governing equations are solved using a finite element method. A wide range of innermost radius-to-thickness ratio of mWCNts is considered to enhance the investigation. the presented solution is verified by comparing the results with those reported in the literature. the effects of temperature on the van der Waals interaction coefficient between layers of mWCNts are examined. It is found that the variation of the van der Waals interaction coefficient at high temperature is sensible. subsequently, variations of RBm frequencies and radial wave propagation in mWCNts with temperatures up to 1 600 K are illustrated. It is shown that the thick mWC- Nts are more sensible to temperature than the thin ones.

Characterization of ion irradiated silicon surfaces ablated by laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy

Low energy metallic ions, generated by a Q-switched Nd：YAG laser （1064-nm wavelength, 10-mJ energy, 9-nm 12-ns-pulse width, 1011 W/cm2 intensity） irradiated on a silicon substrate to modify various properties, such as electrical, morphological, and structural modifications. thomson parabola technique is used to calculate the energy of these metallic ions whereas the electrical conductivity is calculated with the help of Four-point probe. Interestingly circular tracks forming chain like damage trails are produced via these energetic ions which are carefully examined by optical microscopy. It is observed that excitation, ionization, and cascade collisions are responsible for surface modifications of irradiated samples. Four-point probe analysis revealed that the electrical conductivity of substrate has reduced with increasing trend of atomic number of irradiated metallic ions （A1, ti, Cu, and Au）. the x-ray diffraction analysis elucidated the crystallographic changes leading to reduction of grain size of N-type silicon substrate, which is also associated with the metallic ions used. the decreasing trend of conductivity and grain size is due to thermal stresses, scattering effect, structural imperfections, and non-uniform conduction of energy absorbed by substrate atoms after the ion irradiation.
