this paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. the influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. to depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAm).the effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

the impact of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), child-turcotte-pugh (CtP) score and disease staging on the survival of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients: a retrospective cohort from single oncology center

Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common cause of cancer-related death in Saudi Arabia. Our study aimed to investigate the patterns of HCC and the effect of tNm staging, Alfa-fetoprotein (AFP), and Child-turcotte Pugh (CtP) on patients' overall survival (OS).methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 43 HCC patients at a single oncology center in Saudi Arabia from 2015 to 2020. All patients had to fulfill one of the following criteria: (a) a liver lesion reported as definitive HCC on dynamic imaging and/or (b) a biopsy-confirmed diagnosis.Results:the mean patient age of all HCC cases was 66.8 with a male-to-female ratio of 3.3:1. All patients were stratified into two groups: viral HCC (n = 22, 51%) and non-viral HCC (n = 21, 49%). Among viral-HCC patients, 55% were due to HBV and 45% due to HCV. Cirrhosis was diagnosed in 79% of cases. Age and sex did not significantly statistically differ in OS among viral and non-viral HCC patients (-value > 0.05). About 65% of patients had tumor size >5 cm during the diagnosis, with a significant statistical difference in OS (-value = 0.027). AFP was >400 ng/ml in 45% of the patients. there was a statistically significant difference in the OS in terms of AFP levels (-value = 0.021). A statistically significant difference was also observed between the CtP score and OS (-value = 0.02). CtP class B had the longest survival. BSC was the most common treatment provided to HCC patients followed by sorafenib therapy. there was a significant statistical difference in OS among viral and non-viral HCC patients (-value = 0.008).Conclusions:the most common predictors for OS were the underlying cause of HCC, AFP, and tumor size. Being having non-viral etiology, a tumor size >5 cm, an AFP > 400 ng/mL, and a CtP score class C were all negatively associated with OS.

Nonequilibrium behavior of the kinetic metamagnetic spin-5/2 Blume–Capel model

the dynamic magnetic behavior of the kinetic metamagnetic spin-5/2 Blume-Capel model is examined, within a mean-field approach, under a time-dependent oscillating magnetic field. to describe the kinetics of the system, Glauber- type stochastic dynamics has been utilized. the mean-field dynamic equations of the model are obtained from the master equation. Firstly, these dynamic equations are solved to find the phases in the system. then, the dynamic phase transition temperatures are obtained by investigating the thermal behavior of dynamic sublattice magnetizations. moreover, from this investigation, the nature of the phase transitions （first- or second-order） is characterized. Finally, the dynamic phase diagrams are plotted in five different planes. It is found that the dynamic phase diagrams contain the paramagnetic （P）, antiferromagnetic （AF5/2, AF3/2, AF1/2） phases and five different mixed phases. the phase diagrams also display many dynamic critical points, such as tricritical point, triple point, quadruple point, double critical end point and separating point.

Effects of gamma-ray irradiation on electronic and non-electronic equipment of Large Helical Device

In a deuterium operation on the Large Helical Device, the measurement and control equipment placed in the toms hall must survive under an environment of radiation, to study the effects of gamma-ray irradiation on the equipment, an irradiation experiment is performed at the Cobalt-60 irradiation facility of Nagoya University. transient and permanent effects on a personal computer, media converters, programmable logic controllers, isolation amplifiers, a web camera, optical flow meters, and water sealing gaskets are experimentally surveyed. transient noise appears on the web camera. Offset of the signal increases with an increase of the integrated dose on the programmable logic controller. the DeviceNet module on the programmable logic controller is broken at the integrated dose of 72 Gy, which is the expected range of the integrated dose of the toms hall. the other equipment can survive under the gamma-ray field in the toms hall.

Line of sight waypoint guidance for a container ship based on frequency domain identification of Nomoto model of vessel

CIFER software is used to identify steering and roll dynamics of a container ship. In this software, advanced features such as the Chirp-Z transform(CZt) and composite window optimization are applied to the time history of steering and roll dynamics to extract high quality frequency responses. From the extracted frequency responses, two linear transfer functions of Nomoto model are fitted for yaw and roll dynamics of the vessel. Based on the identified Nomoto model, a PID heading controller and a Kalman filter observer are constructed. the simulation results of heading controller for line of sight(LOS) waypoint guidance show excellent tracking of pilot inputs in the presence of wave induced motions and forces.

Some studies of the interaction between two two-level atoms and SU(1,1) quantum systems

Herein, we present an approach to look for the best phenomenon to measure quantum correlation. the system of two isolated qubits each interacting with a single-mode cavity was theoretically created to study the quantum correlation. Some of the phenomena, such as the quantum discord and concurrence, were generated through such a system. the influences of initial state purity, qubit motion, and detuning parameters were discussed for the phenomena. these parameters for a specific value show that the behavior of phenomena are analogous. It is interesting to mention that some values of detuning undergo a sudden death of phenomena, and the quantum discord still captures the qubits quantum correlation. We predict that the quantum discord may be a better measure of quantum correlation than concurrence.

mobility of large clusters on a semiconductor surface:Kinetic monte Carlo simulation results

the mobility of clusters on a semiconductor surface for various values of cluster size is studied as a function of temperature by kinetic monte Carlo method. the cluster resides on the surface of a square grid. Kinetic processes such as the diffusion of single particles on the surface, their attachment and detachment to/from clusters, diffusion of particles along cluster edges are considered. the clusters considered in this study consist of 150-6000 atoms per cluster on average. A statistical probability of motion to each direction is assigned to each particle where a particle with four nearest neighbors is assumed to be immobile. the mobility of a cluster is found from the root mean square displacement of the center of mass of the cluster as a function of time. It is found that the diffusion coefficient of clusters goes as D = A（t）Na where N is the average number of particles in the cluster, A（t） is a temperature-dependent constant and a is a parameter with a value of about -0.64 〈 a 〈 -0.75. the value of a is found to be independent of cluster sizes and temperature values （170-220 K） considered in this study. As the diffusion along the perimeter of the cluster becomes prohibitive, the exponent approaches a value of -0.5. the diffusion coefficient is found to change by one order of magnitude as a function of cluster size.

Analytical Determination of Collisionless Sheath Properties for triple Frequency Capacitively Coupled Plasma

A triple frequency capacitively coupled plasma （tF-CCP） has been considered to investigate the behavior of the sheath parameters. A self-consistent time-independent collisionless model has been developed. the sheath width and potential are calculated using the present model and compared with those calculated using a single-frequency （SF）, a dual-frequency （DF） and a triple-frequency （tF） model for time independent collisionless cases. the sheath motion and sheath potential are found to be larger compared with those of SF and DF CCPs for an inhomogeneous sheath, and that of tF CCP for a homogeneous sheath. the effects of the source parameters, i.e., current magnitudes, frequencies and phase difference, on the sheath parameters are investigated. the sheath parameters show higher values at higher source currents whereas they decrease with the increase of excitation frequencies. It has also been found that, by the proper choice of source frequencies and phase differences, it is possible to adjust the energy of ions when they hit the electrode.

multi-segmented nanowires for vortex magnetic domain wall racetrack memory

A vortex domain wall's(VW) magnetic racetrack memory's high performance depends on VW structural stability,high speed, low power consumption and high storage density. In this study, these critical parameters were investigated in magnetic multi-segmented nanowires using micromagnetic simulation. thus, an offset magnetic nanowire with a junction at the center was proposed for this purpose. this junction was implemented by shifting one portion of the magnetic nanowire horizontally in the x-direction(l) and vertically(d) in the y-direction. the VW structure became stable by manipulating magnetic properties, such as magnetic saturation(m_(4)) and magnetic anisotropy energy(K_(u)). In this case, increasing the values of m_(4) ≥ 800 kA/m keeps the VW structure stable during its dynamics and pinning and depinning in offset nanowires,which contributes to maintenance of the storage memory's lifetime for a longer period. It was also found that the VW moved with a speed of 500 m/s, which is desirable for VW racetrack memory devices. moreover, it was revealed that the VW velocity could be controlled by adjusting the offset area dimensions(l and d), which helps to drive the VW by using low current densities and reducing the thermal-magnetic spin fluctuations. Further, the depinning current density of the VW(J_(d)) over the offset area increases as d increases and l decreases. In addition, magnetic properties, such as the m_(4) and K_(u),can affect the depinning process of the VW through the offset area. For high storage density, magnetic nanowires(multisegmented) with four junctions were designed. In total, six states were found with high VW stability, which means three bits per cell. Herein, we observed that the depinning current density(J_(d)) for moving the VW from one state to another was highly influenced by the offset area geometry(l and d) and the material's magnetic properties, such as the m_(4) and K_(u).
