Electro-optic tuning in composite silicon photonics based on ferroionic 2D materials

Tunable optical materials are indispensable elements in modern optoelectronics,especially in integrated photonics circuits where precise control over the effective refractive index is essential for diverse ***-dimensional materials like transition metal dichalcogenides(TmDs)and graphene exhibit remarkable optical responses to external ***,achieving distinctive modulation across short-wave infrared(SWIr)regions while enabling precise phase control at low signal loss within a compact footprint remains an ongoing *** this work,we unveil the robust electro-refractive response of multilayer ferroionic two-dimensional CuCrP2S6(CCPS)in the near-infrared wavelength *** integrating CCPS into silicon photonics(SiPh)microring resonators(mrr),we enhance lightmatter interaction and measurement sensitivity to minute phase and absorption *** show that electrically driven Cu ions can tune the effective refractive index on the order of 2.8×10−3 rIU(refractive index unit)while preserving extinction ratios and resonance ***,these devices exhibit low optical losses and excellent modulation efficiency of 0.25 *** with a consistent blue shift in the resonance wavelengths among all devices for either polarity of the applied *** results outperform earlier findings on phase shifters based on ***,our study demonstrates distinct variations in electro-optic tuning sensitivity when comparing transverse electric(TE)and transverse magnetic(Tm)modes,revealing a polarization-dependent response that paves the way for diverse applications in light *** combined optoelectronic and ionotronic capabilities of two-terminal CCPS devices present extensive opportunities across several *** potential applications range from phased arrays and optical switching to their use in environmental sensing and metrology,optical imaging systems,and neuromorphic systems in light-sensitive artificial synapses.

In this work,the magnetic,dielectric properties and electric modulus of Ce^(3+) substituted cobaltmagnesium(Co_(0.7)mg_(0.3)Ce_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_4)(labeled as CmCF) ferrite nanoparticles were investigated in *** magnetization decreases from 50.05 to 34.87 emu/g for further substituting Ce^(3+) ***,coercivity increases from 738.22 Gs for the CmCFO sample to 912.10 Gs for the CmCF2 sample,then decreases monotonically to 762.1 Gs for the CmCF5 *** cerium content and particle size play important roles in controlling the magnetization and coercivity of the CmCF *** CmCF nanoferrites are suitable for microwave applications since their high-frequency response ranges from 7.72 to 11.07 *** CmCF nanoferrites' dielectric parameter dispersion exhibits normal *** pristine Co-mg nanoferrite only has ε' value of 28.25,but the nanoferrite mCmF2 has ε' value of365.03,with an enhancing ratio of 1192%.The conduction mechanism of the mCmF nanoferrites was determined by fitting the σ_(ac) results via the Jonscher power *** 653 K,large polaron tunnelling is thought to be responsible for this conduction process,which is followed by electron barrier hopping at higher ***-Cole diagrams at different temperatures,assuring the contributions of the grains and their boundaries at lower temperatures(653 K) and only the grains at higher *** on our results,the CmCF nanoferrites hold magnetic and semiconducting nature,which can be used in magnetic devices and dielectrics in lower-frequencies or conductors in higher-frequencies.

Appropriate interaction between pantograph and catenary is imperative for smooth operation of electric *** heights of overhead lines to accommodate level crossings,overbridges,and tunnels pose significant challenges in maintaining consistent current collection performance as the pantograph aerodynamic profile,and thus aerodynamic load changes significantly with operational *** research aims to analyse the global flow characteristics and aerodynamic forces acting on individual components of an HSX pantograph operating in different configurations and orientations,such that the results can be combined with multibody simulations to obtain accurate dynamic insight into contact ***,computational fluid dynamics simulations are used to investigate the pantograph component loads in a representative setting,such as that of the recessed cavity on a Class 800 *** an aerodynamic perspective,this study indicates that the total drag force acting on non-fixed components of the pantograph is larger for the knuckle-leading orientation rather than the knuckle-trailing,although the difference between the two is found to reduce with increasing pantograph *** the aerodynamic loads acting on individual components with multibody tools allows for realistic dynamic insight into the pantograph *** results obtained show how considering aerodynamic forces enhance the realism of the models,leading to behaviour of the pantograph-catenary contact forces closely matching that seen in experimental tests.

Fuzzy and IrLNC-based routing approach to improve data storage and system reliability in IoT

Internet of Things(IoT)based sensor network is largely utilized in various field for transmitting huge amount of data due to their ease and cheaper *** performing this entire process,there is a high possibility for data corruption in the mid of *** the other hand,the network performance is also affected due to various *** address these issues,an efficient algorithm that jointly offers improved data storage and reliable routing is ***,after the deployment of sensor nodes,the election of the storage node is achieved based on a fuzzy expert *** random Linear Network Coding(IrLNC)is used to create an encoded *** encoded packet from the source and neighboring nodes is transmitted to the storage ***,to transmit the encoded packet from the storage node to the destination shortest path is found using the Destination Sequenced Distance Vector(DSDV)*** analysis of the proposed work is carried out by evaluating some of the statistical *** residual energy,packet delivery ratio,compression ratio and storage time achieved for the proposed work are 8.8%,0.92%,0.82%,and 69 *** on this analysis,it is revealed that better data storage system and system reliability is attained using this proposed work.

An Adaptive Hate Speech Detection Approach Using Neutrosophic Neural Networks for Social media Forensics

Detecting hate speech automatically in social media forensics has emerged as a highly challenging task due tothe complex nature of language used in such platforms. Currently, several methods exist for classifying hatespeech, but they still suffer from ambiguity when differentiating between hateful and offensive content and theyalso lack accuracy. The work suggested in this paper uses a combination of the Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to adjust the weights of two multi-Layer Perceptron (mLPs)for neutrosophic sets classification. During the training process of the mLP, the WOA is employed to exploreand determine the optimal set of weights. The PSO algorithm adjusts the weights to optimize the performanceof the mLP as fine-tuning. Additionally, in this approach, two separate mLP models are employed. One mLPis dedicated to predicting degrees of truth membership, while the other mLP focuses on predicting degrees offalse membership. The difference between these memberships quantifies uncertainty, indicating the degree ofindeterminacy in predictions. The experimental results indicate the superior performance of our model comparedto previous work when evaluated on the Davidson dataset.

In this study,the spectroscopic parameters of exotic molecular states composed of mesons containing two heavy quarks(scalar-axial and pseudoscalar-axial meson combinations)are investigated within the QCD sum *** findings reveal that molecular states containing charm quarks do not form bound states,whereas states with b-quarks can form exotic molecular *** observation has significant implications for understanding the structure of these exotic states.

Optimal Coordination of Transportable Power Sources and repair Crews for Service restoration of Distribution Networks Considering Uncertainty of Traffic Congestion

This paper proposes a new method for service restoration of distribution network with the support of transportable power sources(TPSs)and repair crews(rCs).Firstly,a coupling model of distribution networks and vehicle routing of TPSs and rCs is proposed,where the TPSs serve as emergency power supply sources,and the rCs are used to repair the faulted *** the uncertainty of traffic congestion,the probability distribution of the travel time spent on each road is derived based on the Nesterov user equilibrium model,and a two-stage stochastic program is formulated to determine the optimal routings of TPSs and *** efficiently solve the proposed stochastic mixed-integer linear program(mILP),a two-phase scenario reduction method is then developed to scale down the problem size,and an adaptive progressive hedging algorithm is used for an efficient *** effectiveness of the proposed methods and algorithms has been illustrated in a modified IEEE 33-bus system.
