Unveiling bulk and surface radiation forces in a dielectric liquid

Precise control over light-matter interactions is critical for many optical manipulation and material characterization methodologies,further playing a paramount role in a host of nanotechnology ***,the fundamental aspects of interactions between electromagnetic fields and matter have yet to be established unequivocally in terms of an electromagnetic momentum ***,we use tightly focused pulsed laser beams to detect bulk and boundary optical forces in a dielectric *** the optical convoluted signal,we decouple thermal and nonlinear optical effects from the radiation forces using a theoretical interpretation based on the microscopic Ampère force *** is shown,for the first time,that the time-dependent pressure distribution within the fluid chiefly originates from the electrostriction *** results shed light on the contribution of optical forces to the surface displacements observed at the dielectric air-water interfaces,thus shedding light on the long-standing controversy surrounding the basic definition of electromagnetic momentum density in matter.

AIm:To investigate the association between serum antibody levels and a subsequent celiac disease diag-nosis in a large series of children and adults. mETHODS:Besides subjects with classical gastrointestinal presentation of celiac disease,the study cohort included a substantial number of individuals with extraintestinal symptoms and those found by screening in at-risk *** 405 patients underwent clinical,serological and histological *** collection of data,the antibody values were further graded as low[endomysial(EmA)1:5-200,transglutaminase 2 antibodies(TG2-ab)5.0-30.0 U/L]and high (EmA 1:≥500,TG2-ab≥30.0 U/L),and the serological results were compared with the small intestinal mucosal histology and clinical presentation. RESULTS:In total,79%of the subjects with low and 94%of those with high serum EmA titers showed small-bowel mucosal villous ***, 96%of the 47 EmA positive subjects who had normal mucosal villi and remained on follow-up either subsequently developed mucosal atrophy while on a glutencontaining diet,or responded positively to a glutenfree diet. CONCLUSION:Irrespective of the initial serum titers or clinical presentation,EmA positivity as such is a very strong predictor of a subsequent celiac disease diagnosis.

Spectroscopy of Low-lying States in Odd-Z Odd-A Nuclei Beyond Lead

Low-lying states in odd-Z odd-mass nuclei at the proton drip-line beyond lead have recently been studied through fusion-evaporation reactions using a gas-filled recoil separator. Isomeric 1/2+and13/2+states have been observed in odd-mass astatine and francium nuclei. The systematic behaviour of the level energies of these states have been studied and a similarity between the 1/2+state in astatine and francium has been found. Furthermore, the 13/2+state has been observed in the francium nuclei with an oblate behaviour suggesting a coupling of the i13/2proton to the 2p- 2h intruder excitation.

试验研究日粮的蛋白水平对（165±2）日龄猪生长性能、屠宰后胴体成分和器官重的影响。试验还研究20只公猪和20只母猪的肌纤维类型、背最长肌白肌（LD）、半膜肌（Sm）、后臀肌（GS）、冈下肌暗肌（IS），咬肌（m）的糖酵解潜力。试验选用16只长白、16只约克夏、8只长约杂交猪。分别给猪饲喂高、低蛋白试验饲粮，每fu（1 fu=9．3mJNE）各含有袁观可消化赖氨酸6.0，9．5g。对各组猪实行严格限饲（13—30mJ NE·d^-1）。
