In this work, the hydrogen storage properties of the mg-based hydrides, i.e., mgl-xmxH2 （m=Ti, V, Fe, 0≤ x ≤ 0.1）, are studied using the Korringa-Kohn-Rostoker （KKR） calculation with the coherent potential approximation （CPA） . In particular, the nature and concentrations of the alloying elements and their effects are studied. moreover, the material＇s stability and hydrogen storage thermodynamic properties are discussed. In particular, we find that the stability and the temperature of desorption decrease without significantly affecting the storage capacities.

In this study we quantify and analyze different components of nocturnal losses from a heated greenhouse with the presence of vegetation for typical winter weather conditions in marrakesh-morocco,using a non linear model,based on the greenhouse heat and mass *** was found that 12% of the total input heat was dissipate as a sensible and latent leakage losses,66% was lost by convective exchange through air-inner *** gain of energy at the inner-cover is dissipated at the outer-cover by radiation(66%)and convection(34%).This results point toward some practical measures to reduce heat losses:increasing air tightness,using covering materials with low-emissivity in the long wave band or putting up an external thermal curtain should provide significant energy savings.

Does Obesity Affect Early Results after Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting?

Background: The aim of this study was to quantify the effect of obesity on early results after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). methods: A retrospective cohort study of patients underwent isolated CABG from January 2000 through December 2012 was conducted. 586 patients were classified into two groups: Obese (n = 100) BmI ≥ 30 kg/m2 and non-obese (n = 486) BmI ≤ 30kg/m2. Results: The obese patients included more women (p 0.01), hypertensives (p = 0.01) and dyslipidemics (p = 0001). The CPB, aortic champ times and number of bypass graft were similar between the groups (p = 0.35, p = 0.51 and p = 0.59 respectively). Also the composite of in-hospital mortality and postoperative complication didn’t differ between the groups. The incidence of perioperative myocardial infarction, and need for inotropic drugs or IABP were significantly less in obese patients (p = 0.028, p = 0.031 and p 0.01 respectively). Conclusions: The current study showed that obesity is not a risk factor of adverse events after CABG and continuous to give another aspect of the “obesity paradox”.
