Optoelectronic and thermoelectric properties of spinel chalcogenides HgLa2X4（X=S and Se）:A first-principles study

We investigated spinel chalcogenides HgLa2（S/Se）4by using density function theory,and scrutinized the structural,optical,electrical,mechanical and thermoelectric transport characteristics of HgLa2（S/Se）4spinel *** enthalpy of formation,energy of cohesion,and energy volume optimum plots were used to obtain the stability as well as the perfect ground state of these *** ductility of these materials was the best illustrated with the help of Poisson's and Pugh's *** band gap results were obtained using Trans and Blaha modified Becke-Johanson potential（TB-mBJ）.Both the materials present semi-conducting nature with direct band gap equal to 1.449 and 0.892 eV respectively for HgLa2S4and *** were also made for optical characteristics with the values of dielectric function,absorption coefficient,optical conductivity,reflectivity,and refractive *** to the findings,both of these materials are suitable for infrared optoelectronic *** materials were found to have promising optoelectronic and thermoelectric applications after their optical properties and transport aspects were *** tiny levels of temperature conductivities,substantial am ounts of power conductivities,the figure of merit（more than unity）,as well as Seebecs coefficients all point to the potential use of both the materials in thermoelectric power generators.

The Learning management system(LmS)is now being used for uploading educational content in both distance and blended *** platform has two types of users:the educators who upload the content,and the students who have to access the *** students,usually rely on text notes or books and video tutorials while their exams are conducted with formal *** assessments and examination criteria are ineffective with restricted learning space which makes the student tend only to read the educational contents and videos instead of interactive *** aim is to design an interactive LmS and examination video-based interface to cater the issues of educators and *** is designed according to Human-computer interaction(HCI)principles to make the interactive User interface(UI)through User experience(UX).The interactive lectures in the form of annotated videos increase user engagement and improve the self-study context of users involved in *** interface design defines how the design will interact with users and how the interface exchanges *** findings show that interactive videos for LmS allow the users to have a more personalized learning experience by engaging in the educational *** result shows a highly personalized learning experience due to the interactive video and quiz within the video.

随着工业的迅速发展,各国的综合国力不断提高,同时也暴露出许多问题,例如环境问题。环境问题是近年来各国政府和人民特别关注的问题,尤其是重工业的发展引起的重金属离子污染严重影响了某些地区人民的生活和环境。重金属离子的处理方法包括传统的物理化学方法,例如化学沉淀,离子交换,电凝和膜分离,以及生物修复方法,例如植物吸收和微生物吸附。本研究采用的吸附法原理,首先制备磷酸镁水泥基吸附材料,并将吸附剂与重金属铅离子废液混合并振荡以模拟重金属离子的处理过程,从而使废水中重金属铅离子被吸附在其中,从而实现治理重金属污染的目的。与其他方法相比,该吸附方法具有操作简单,节约经济,受限条件少,二次污染少等优点。本研究主要研究磷酸镁水泥基吸附材料的结构性能和重金属铅离子的吸附特性,进行了以下实验:制备了具有不同m/P比的磷酸镁多孔吸附剂（混合的氧化镁和磷酸二氢钾,即m/P）,以及100 ml不同浓度的100 mg/P的铅离子废液。加入100mg/L,150mg/L,200mg/L,250mg/L,300mg/L。吸附时间为1天。实验结果表明,多孔磷酸镁吸附剂在重金属铜废液上的吸附量和吸附率随m/P的增加呈先升高后降低的趋势,当m/P=1,m/P=3。不同浓度下的最大吸附量不同,不同浓度下的最大吸附速率也不同,我们获得了最佳的结果。与二阶动力学方程一致的多孔磷酸镁吸附剂的拟合曲线几乎是笔直的,表明相似性较高。从动力学拟合参数看,多孔磷酸镁吸附剂对一阶动力学方程的拟合度为R2=0.7365,对二阶动力学方程的拟合度为R2=0.9981,因此化学吸附是主要的多孔磷酸镁吸附剂吸附铜废液的吸附方式。

Controlling reduction degree of graphene oxide membranes for improved water permeance

Tailoring tire pore structure and surface chemistry of graphene-based laminates is essentially important for their applications as separation membranes. Usually, pure graphene oxide （GO） and completely reduced GO （rGO） membranes suffer florn low water permeance because of the lack of pristine graphitic sp2 domains and very small interlayer spacing, respectively. In this work, we studied the influence of reduction degree on the structure and separation pertornrance of rGO membranes, tt was found that weak reduction retains the good dispersion and hydrophilicity of GO nanosheets. more importantly, it increases the number of pristine graphitic sp2 domains in rGO nanosheets while keeping the large interlayer spacing of the GO membranes in most regions at the same time. The resultant mernbranes show a high water permeance of 56.3 L m^-2 h^ -1 bar^ -1, which is about 4 times and over 10^4 times larger tban those of the GO and completely reduced rGO membranes, respectively, and high rejection over 95700 for various dyes. Furthermore, they show better structure stability and more superior separation perfor- mance than GO membranes in acid and alkali environments.

Tailoring the optical and magnetic properties of La-Bam hexaferrites by Ni substitution

We investigate the impact of Ni insertion on the structural,optical,and magnetic properties of Ba_(0.8)La_(0.2)Fe_(12-x)Ni_(x)O_(19)hexaferrites(Ni substituted La-Bam hexaferrites).Samples were prepared using the conventional co-precipitation method and sintered at 1000℃for 4 hours to assist the crystallization *** analysis of the structure of the samples was carried out using an x-ray diffraction(XRD)*** m-type hexagonal structure of all the samples was confirmed using XRD *** lattice parameters a and c were found to be in the ranges of 5.8925±0.001 nm–5.8952±0.001 nm and 23.2123±0.001 nm–23.2219±0.001 nm,*** m-type hexagonal nature of the prepared samples was also indicated by the presence of corresponding FT-IR bands and Raman modes in the FT-IR and Raman spectra,*** results confirmed the successful synthesis of the samples according to the required stoichiometric ratio.A UV-vis spectrometer was used to record the absorption spectra of the prepared samples in the wavelength range of 200 nm–1100 *** optical energy bandgap of the samples was found to be in the range of 1.21 eV–3.39 *** m–H loops of the samples were measured at room temperature at an applied magnetic field range of 0 kOe–60 kOe.A high saturation magnetization of 99.92 emu/g was recorded in the sample with x=0 at a microwave operating frequency of 22.2 *** high value of saturation magnetization is due to the substitution of La3+ions at the spin-up(12k,2a,and 2b)*** Ni substitution is proven to be a potential candidate for the tuning of the optical and magnetic parameters of m-type ***,we suggest that the prepared samples are suitable for use in magneto-optic applications.

Six minute Walk Test to assess functional capacity in chronic liver disease patients

AIm: To examine the utility of Six minute Walk Test (6mWT) in patients with chronic liver disease (CLD). mETHODS: Two hundred and fifty subjects between the ages of 18 and 80 (mean 47) years performed 6mWT and the Six minute Walk Distance (6mWD) was measured. RESULTS: The subjects were categorized into four groups. Group A (n = 45) healthy subjects (control); group B (n = 49) chronic hepatitis B patients; group C (n = 54) chronic hepatitis C patients; group D (n = 98) liver cirrhosis patients. The four groups differed in terms of 6mWDs (P m by group A, then group B (390 ± 53 m), group C (357 ± 72 m) and group D (306 ± 111 m). The 6mWD correlated with age (r = -0.482, P moglobin (r = +0.373, P min (r = +0.311, P mWD in cirrhosis (group D) patients (r = -0.328, P mo follow-up period, 15 of the 98 cirrhosis patients had died from disease complications. The 6mWD for the surviving cirrhotic patients was longer than for non-survivors (317 ± 101 vs 245 ± 145 m, P = 0.021; 95% CI 11-132). The 6mWD was found to be an independent predictor of survival (P = 0.024). CONCLUSION: 6mWT is a useful tool for assessing physical function in CLD patients. We suggest that 6mWD may serve as a prognostic indicator in patients with liver cirrhosis.

Silicone rubber composite is a priority electrical insulating material used in high-voltage outdoor insulation *** electrical tracking/erosion and poor flame resistance performance of silicone rubber once ignited,substantially reduce its working *** paper attempts to investigate tracking/erosion performance of room temperature vulcanized(RTV)silicone rubber along with flame retardant parameters using aluminum trihydrate(ATH),graphene nanosheets(GN)and milled glass fiber(GF)*** inclined plane test(IPT)was performed in line with criteria defined in IEC 60587 using step-up tracking voltage method while flame retardancy is evaluated according to ASTm E 1354.0 using a cone *** suggest 30% of ATH assists in improving physical tracking/erosion resistance of pristine silicone elastomer rubber by impeding development of leakage current and a great reduction in maximum average temperatures on the surface of *** improvement in performance of RTV2 is achieved through introduction of 1%of GN and 5% of GF as seen in ***,30% of ATH reduces heat release rate and smoke production rate,and this trend is improved with the introduction of GN/***4 has pop up as the most promising silicone rubber composite with excellent electrical tracking,erosion,and flame resistance performance relative to its counterparts in this study.
