Relative-Position Estimation Based on Loosely Coupled UWB–ImU Fusion for Wearable IoT Devices

Relative positioning is one of the important techniques in collaborativerobotics, autonomous vehicles, and virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR)applications. Recently, ultra-wideband (UWB) has been utilized to calculaterelative position as it does not require a line of sight compared to a camerato calculate the range between two objects with centimeter-level ***, the single UWB range measurement cannot provide the relativeposition and attitude of any device in three dimensions (3D) because oflacking bearing information. In this paper, we have proposed a UWB-ImUfusion-based relative position system to provide accurate relative positionand attitude between wearable Internet of Things (IoT) devices in 3D. Weintroduce a distributed Euler angle antenna orientationwhich can be equippedwith the mobile structure to enable relative positioning. moving average andmin-max removing preprocessing filters are introduced to reduce the standarddeviation. The standard multilateration method is modified to calculate therelative position between mobile structures. We combine UWB and ImUmeasurements in a probabilistic framework that enables users to calculatethe relative position between two nodes with less error. We have carried outdifferent experiments to illustrate the advantages of fusing ImU and UWBranges for relative positioning systems. We have achieved a mean accuracy of0.31m for 3D relative positioning in indoor line of sight conditions.

Objective: To evaluate effects of docosahexaenoic acid-enriched phosphatidylcholine(DHAPC) on cytokine production induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS). methods: The culture supernatants of splenocytes exposed to DHA-PC along with LPS were harvested to determine the production of Th 1(IFN-kines. Cytokines were m毭 and IL-2) and Th2 [IL-4, IL-5, IL-6 and IL-12/IL-23(p40)] cytoeasured using ELISA. Results: Co-administration of DHAPC with LPS resulted in significantly lower IL-2 expression compared to that observed with administration of only LPS(Pment with DHA-PC and LPS significantly increased IL-5 expression(Pmoreover, co-administration of DHA-PC with LPS significantly decreased IL-6 and IL-12/IL-23(p40) expressions compared to that observed with administration of only LPS(Pmmatory cytokines [IL-2, IL-6 and IL-12/IL-23(p40)] expression on induction of inflammation.

Subinertial fluctuation of a strong northward deep current, which is referred to the Dokdo Abyssal Current （DAC） by Chang et al. （2009）, is investigated from current records for about 16.5 and 8.0 months in the Ulle- ung Interplain Gap of the East/lapan Sea. The current below 300 m is bottom-intensified and has nearly depth-independent flow. Near bottom, the spectral peaks of the current were found near 10, 20, and 60 d. The DAC variability near 10 d and 20 d is reasonably consistent with the linear theory of topographic Rossby waves （TRWs） in the following aspects：（1） The motion is columnar and bottom-intensified; （2） the theo- retical cutoff frequency is similar to the observation; （3） The observation-based angles of the wavenumber vector are in good agreement with the theoretical ones. The wavelengths of the TRWs with periods of near 10 d and 20 d near Dokdo are significantly shorter than those with similar timescales in the open oceans （100-250 km）. It is primarily due to the weak stratification below 300 m in the East Sea. The deep cur- rent fluctuations with periods of near 10 d and 20 d were accompanied by warm events in the upper layer resulting from eddying processes and/or meandering of the Tsushima Warm Current.

Various core memory devices have been proposed for utilization in future inmemory computing technology featuring high energy *** memory is considered as a viable choice owing to its high integration density,stability,and reliability,which has been verified by commercialized ***,its high operating voltage and slow operation speed issues caused by the tunneling mechanism make its adoption in in-memory computing applications *** this paper,we introduce a dual-mode memory device named“ferro-floating memory”,fabricated using van der Waals(vdW)materials(h-BN,moS2,andα-In2Se3).The vdW material,α-In2Se3,acts as a polarization control layer for the ferroelectric memory operation and charge storage layer for the conventional flash memory *** to the tunnelingbased memory operation,the ferro-floating memory operates 1.9 and 3.3 times faster at 6.7 and 5.8 times lower operating voltages for programming and erasing operations,*** dual-mode operation improves the linearity of conductance change by 5 times and the dynamic range by 48%through achieving conductance variation ***,we assess the effects of the variation in device operating voltage on neural networks and suggest a memory array operating scheme for maximizing the networks'performance through various training/inference simulations.

A recurrent pandemic with unpredictable viral nature has implied the need for a rapid diagnostic technology to facilitate timely and appropriate countermeasures against viral *** this study,conductive polymer-based nanoparticles have been developed as a tool for rapid diagnosis of influenza A(H1N1)*** distinctive property of a conductive polymer that transduces stimulus to respond,enabled immediate optical signal processing for the specific recognition of H1N1 *** poly(aniline-co-pyrrole)-encapsulated polymeric vesicles,functionalized with peptides,were fabricated for the specific recognition of H1N1 *** low solubility of conductive polymers was successfully improved by employing vesicles consisting of amphiphilic copolymers,facilitating the viral titer-dependent production of the optical *** optical response of the detection system to the binding event with H1N1,a mechanical stimulation,was extensively analyzed and provided concordant information on viral titers of H1N1 virus in 15 *** specificity toward the H1N1 virus was experimentally demonstrated via a negative optical response against the control group,***,the designed system that transduces the optical response to the target-specific binding can be a rapid tool for the diagnosis of H1N1.

Owing to the tremendous demands for high-resolution pixel-scale thin lenses in displays,we developed a graphenebased ultrathin square subpixel lens(USSL)capable of electrically tuneable focusing(ETF)with a performance competitive with that of a typical mechanical refractive *** fringe field due to a voltage bias in the graphene proves that our ETF-USSL can focus light onto a single point regardless of the wavelength of the visible light—by controlling the carriers at the Dirac point using radially patterned graphene layers,the focal length of the planar structure can be adjusted without changing the curvature or position of the lens.A high focusing efficiency of over 60% at a visible wavelength of 405 nm was achieved with a lens thickness of m,and a change of 19.42% in the focal length with a 9% increase in transmission was exhibited under a driving *** design is first presented as an ETF-USSL that can be controlled in pixel units of flat panel displays for visible *** can be easily applied as an add-on to high resolution,slim displays and provides a new direction for the application of multifunctional autostereoscopic displays.

Employing Li2CO3, NiO, Co3O4, and mnCO3 powders as starting materials, Li[Ni1/3Co1/3mn1/3]O2 was synthesized by solid-state reaction method. Various grinding aids were applied during milling in order to optimize the synthesis process. After successive heat treatments at 650 and 950 ℃, the prepared powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. The powders prepared by adding salt (NaCl) as grinding aid exhibit a clear R3m layer structure. The powders by other grinding aids like heptane show some impurity peaks in the XRD pattern. The former powders show a uniform particle size distribution of less than 1 μm average size while the latter shows a wide distribution ranging from 1 to 10 μm. Energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysiss show that the ratio of Ni, Co, and mn content in the powder is approximately 1/3, 1/3, and 1/3, respecively. The EDX data indicate no incorporation of sodium or chlorine into the powders. Charge-discharge tests gave an initial discharge capacity of 160 mAh·g-1 for the powders with NaCl addition while 70 mAh·g-1 for the powders with heptane.

BACkGROUND： High-grade pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasia（Pan IN-3）, a precursor of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma（PDAC）, is not universally detected in resected pancreatic neoplasms. We sought to determine the prevalence and prognostic relevance of Pan IN-3 lesions in primary surgical resections of PDACs and intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms（IPmNs）.mETHODS： A retrospective review of a tertiary care center pathology database（1/2000-6/2014） was performed. Demographics, imaging, pathology, disease-recurrence, and survival data were ***： A total of 458 patients who underwent primary pancreatic resection were included. “Pan IN-3” lesions were found in 74（16.2%） patients who either had PDAC（n=67） or main duct（mD）-IPmN（n=7）. Among IPmN-mDs, Pan IN-3 lesions were exclusively found in those with pathological evidence of chronic pancreatitis. For PDACs, the median overall survival（OS） for pancreata with Pan IN-3 lesions was significantly better than those without（OS 1.12 years, interquartile range [IQR] 0.72, 2.05 years vs OS 0.86 years, IQR 0.64,1.60 years respectively; P=0.04）. multivariate Cox regression analysis demonstrated that the presence of Pan IN-3 lesions was associated with a reduced risk of death（HR=0.43; 95% CI： 0.23-0.82; P=0.01）.CONCLUSIONS： Following primary resection of pancreatic adenocarcinoma, the lower survival observed in patients without Pan IN-3 lesions might suggest a state of complete or accelerated transformation. Further investigations are necessary to validate these findings that might impact disease prognosis and management.
