The Gentio metagranitoid presents equigranular and porphyritic facies, modal composition ranging from tonalite to monzogranite with calculated T_(Zr)most samples. Its mineralogy is dominated by quartz and feldspar(77% to 95%), biotite is the only mafic mineral present(2% to 18%) and, titanite, zircon, apatite, allanite are important accessory phases. These rocks range from metaluminous to weakly peraluminous, and have large variation in major and trace elements, and high alkali contents(>6 wt.%). Zircon analyses by LA-ICP-mS and SHRImP yielded a concordia age of 2 119±10 ma for the porphyritic facies and an upper intercept age of 2 111±15 ma for the equigranular facies. The whole-rock Sm-Nd T_(Dm) ages vary from 2.4 to 2.8 Ga with ε_(Nd)(2.1) values between -0.7 and-5.3, indicating crustal derivation from distinct and/or heterogeneous protoliths. Field observations indicate that the Gentio metagranitoid was formed through different pulses of magma. Individual batches were subject to little or even no fractionation process after its emplacement. Although the Gentio metagranitoid crosscuts metamafic and metaultramafic rocks akin to an oceanic arc setting, this pluton is likely originated by partial melting of a more evolved quartz-feldspathic crustal igneous rock in a post-collisional environment, after the accretion of the arcs from the mineiro belt and rocks of the mantiqueira Complex.

目的探讨抗生素对晚期尿路上皮癌患者行化疗联合免疫治疗期间临床疗效的影响。方法选取2020年8月至2022年12月在我院确诊为晚期尿路上皮癌且行化疗联合免疫治疗的71例患者进行回顾性分析,根据是否应用抗生素分为应用抗生素(A)组和未应用抗生素(B)组,分别比较两组的基线特征及生存分析等。结果两组患者的基线临床资料差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。应用抗生素(A)组患者mPFS为6个月(95%CI:4.92~7.08),与未应用抗生素(B)组的8个月(95%CI:5.67~10.34)相比显著降低(P=0.001),多因素Cox回归分析显示抗生素应用情况是患者PFS(HR=2.11,95%CI:1.17~3.81,P=0.014)的独立影响因素。结论抗生素可以影响晚期尿路上皮癌患者化疗联合免疫治疗的临床疗效,使患者的无进展生存期(PFS)缩短,在临床中应慎重合理应用抗生素。

Pion emission in α-particle interactions with various targets of nuclear emulsion detector

The behavior of relativistic hadron multiplicity for 4He-nucleus interactions is investigated. The experi- ment is carried out at 2.1 A and 3.7 A GeV （Dubna energy） to search for the incident energy effect on the interactions inside different emulsion target nuclei. Data are presented in terms of the number of emitted relativistic hadrons in both forward and backward angular zones. The dependence on the target size is presented. For this purpose the statistical events are discriminated into groups according to the interactions with H, CNO, Em, and AgBr target nuclei. The separation of events, into the mentioned groups, is executed based on Glauber＇s multiple scattering theory approach. Features suggestive of a decay mechanism seem to be a characteristic of the backward emission of relativistic hadrons. The results strongly support the assumption that the relativistic hadrons may already be emitted during the de-excitation of the excited target nucleus, in a behavior like that of compound-nucleus disintegration. Regarding the limiting fragmentation hypothesis beyond 1 A GeV, the target size is the main parameter affecting the backward production of the relativistic hadron. The incident energy is a principal factor responsible for the forward relativistic hadron production, implying that this system of particle production is a creation system. However, the target size is an effective parameter as well as the projectile size considering the geometrical concept regarded in the nuclear fireball model. The data are analyzed in the framework of the FRITIOF model.

Safety and efficacy of ultrasound ciliary plasty as a primary intervention in glaucoma patients

AIm: To evaluate the safety and the efficacy of the ultrasound ciliary plasty(UCP) on the intraocular pressure(IOP) control in glaucomatous eyes without previous glaucoma ***: A retrospective study included patients with primary and secondary glaucoma who underwent UCP in Dar Al Shifa Hospital, Kuwait between January 2017 to June 2018. High-intensity focused ultrasound procedures were performed under peribulbar anesthesia using the 2^(nd) generation probe with 8 s duration of each of the 6 shots. Complete ophthalmologic examinations were scheduled pre-treatment, and at 1 d, 1 wk, 1, 3, 6 and 12 mo posttreatment. Primary outcomes were the IOP reduction and success rates at 12 mo, while the secondary outcomes were the occurrence of vision threatening complications and visual ***: The records of 62 eyes of 62 patients were analyzed with mean age of 63.8 y(67.7% males). There was statistically significant reduction in the mean IOP from 35.2±8.3 mm Hg before treatment to 20.6±8.7 mm Hg at 12^(th) month(Pmean percentage IOP reduction of 42.3% with significant reduction in the mean number of antiglaucomatous drugs from 3.2±0.4 before treatment to 2.1±1.02 at 12 mo(Pmo. No major intra-or posttreatment complications were ***: Second-generation UCP prove to be effective in reducing IOP in naive glaucoma patients with lower success rates in cases of neovascular and uveitic glaucomas.

Enzymatic kinetic resolution of racemic alcohols or esters is known as a useful method for the preparation of optically active secondary alcohols. However, the work-up including the separation of the mixture of the remaining substrate and the resulting compound spend a lot of time and waste much amount of solvents. On the other hand, organic synthesis based on polymer supports has made rapid progress. Although the methodology is potentially useful for the easy separation of compounds obtained by the enzymatic reaction, there have been relatively few reports on enzymatic resolutions of using a polymer so far. We have noticed that using a watersoluble polymer could be suitable for enzymatic transformation. Here, we report the first example of an enzyme-mediated enantioselective hydrolysis of poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG)-supported substrates with a carbonate moiety to afford optically active compounds, and the method enables us to achieve the easy separation of the products[1]. BACKGROUND Childhood cancer survivors are potentially at a higher risk of infection with hepatitis C virus (HCV).The effects of all-oral direct-acting antiviral therapy (DAA) on both the HCV infection as well as the state of cancer remission have not been well investigated in this *** To test the effects of dual sofosbuvir/daclatasvir (SOF/DCV) therapy in the treatment of chronic HCV in survivors of hematologic malignancy in pediatric age *** We conducted a prospective,uncontrolled,open-label multicenter study.A total of 20 eligible,chronic HCV,genotype-4,infected children who had been in continuous complete remission from hematologic cancer (leukemia/lymphoma) for at least one year were included in the *** patients were treated with combined SOF/DCV for 12 *** were monitored throughout the study till 12 wk after end of treatment for safety and efficacy outcomes including the sustained virologic response 12 (SVR12) rate,hematological indices,liver and kidney *** The intent-to-treat SVR12 rate was 20 of 20 (100%;95%CI: 84%-100%).All patients showed normalized liver enzymes from *** hematological indices,liver and kidney functions were kept normal throughout the *** fatalities or treatment-emergent serious or severe adverse events were reported throughout the *** SOF/DCV combined therapy could be used safely and effectively in the treatment of chronic HCV genotype-4 infection in leukemia/lymphoma treated *** relapses were detected during treatment and throughout the follow up period for either the original malignant disease or the HCV infection.

Properties of the πh9/2 × vi13/2 Oblate Band in ^188Tl

High spin states in ^188Tl have been investigated via the 157Gd（^35Cl,4n） reaction at beam energy of 170 meV. A rotational band built on the πh9/2 × vi13/2 configuration with oblate deformation has been established. Considering the similarity between the band structure observed in odd-odd Tl nuclei, spin values have been tentatively proposed for the new band in ^188Tl. The πh9/2 × vi13/2 oblate band in ^188Tl shows low-spin signature inversion, and it can be interpreted qualitatively by the two quasiparticle plus rotor model including a J-dependent p-n residual interaction.
