Cellular automata-based approach for digital image scrambling

The thermoelastic wave propagation in a tetragonal syngony anisotropic medium of classes 4, 4/m having heterogeneity along z axis has been investigated by employing matrizant method. This medium has an axis of second-order symmetry parallel to z axis. In the case of the fourth-order matrix coefficients, the problems of wave refraction and reflection on the interface of homogeneous anisotropic thermoelastic mediums are solved analytically.

Dependence of effective screening length in granular columns on bead and silo sizes and their ratio

Apparent mass measurements at the bottom of silos have been carried out. An important parameter in the Janssen model known as the effective screening length has been investigated for different bead and silo diameters as well as of their ratios. It is found that the effective screening length augments with the grain diameter d in addition to the granular column size. It is also revealed that λ exhibits stronger correlation with the bead diameter than that of the silo. This phenomenon is attributed to the reduced-shielding of the vertical stresses to the horizontal ones.

Irrational irrigation practices in the Arys Turkestan Canal command area in the southern part of Kazakhstan have led to the formation of soils with poor physical and chemical properties. To study whether irrigation and leaching practices and/or groundwater rise have contributed to the accumulation of mg2+ on the cation exchange complex of these soils, historical changes in soil and groundwater quality were used as source data and the Visual mINTEQ model was applied to analyze the chemical composition of water and soils in the study area. The imposed irrigation regime and the leaching of light sierosem soils led to the dissolution and subsequent leaching of inherent gypsum and organic matter from the soil profile. Further, the domination of bicarbonate in the irrigation water promoted weathering of the carbonate minerals present as calcite. The higher concentrations of mg2+ in comparison to Ca2+ in the irrigation water resulted in the replacement of Na+ by mg2+ on the cation exchange complex. In the lower part of the command area, shallow groundwater has contributed to the accumulation of Na+ and to a large extent of mg2+ on the cation exchange sites.

The Indus Plains of Pakistan lies between 23°to 37°latitude and 61°to 76°longi-tude in the northern hemisphere. The total Canal Commanded Area (CCA) is about 13.50million hectares of which 11.21 million hectares are cultivated. At present, 103 millionacre-feet river flow is diverted into irrigation canals. In addition, 42 million acre feet of thegroundwater are being pumped through 257697 tubewells to supplement the canal supplies.

Stable Silver Nanoparticles Synthesis by Citrus Sinensis(Orange) and Assessing Activity Against Food Poisoning microbes

Silver nanoparticles are considerecl as good antimicrobial agent. AgNPs were synthesized by mixing silver nitrate solution with citrus sinesb extract for 2 h at 37 and analyzed by UV-visible spectra, SEm, XRD, and FTIR. AgNPs were tested against B. subtilis, Shigello, S. oureus, ond E. coli. minimum inhibitory concentration of AgNPs was 20 I^g/mL for B. subtilis and Shigello and 30 I^g/mL for S. oureus and E. coll. Antibiofilm activity （80% to 90%） was observed at 25 IJg/mL. AgNPs were stable for five months with sustained an＇timicrobial activity. Biosynthesized AgNPs can bE： used to inhibit food poisoning microbial growth.
