Authentication of medicinally important plants is essential for increasingly demands of herbal remedies worldwide. DNA barcoding technology is currently gaining importance as a reliable tool for plant species identification, although one barcode gene is not enough in the exceptions. Short sequence diversity of standardized specific coding gene regions of rbcLa and matK of plastid genome together with noncoding ribosomal internal transcribed spacer 2 (ITS2) marker is used as barcode to compare and differentiate plant species. The success of obtaining sequences of the 29 analyzed plants distributed in 21 families using three different barcode genes rbcLa, matK and ITS2 were 97%, 79% and 75% respectively. multiple sequence alignment confirmed the medicinal plants at species level by 89.28%, 86.32% and 60.86% obtained through rbcLa, ITS2 and matK barcodes sequences respectively. The genetic distance between sequence pairs (GD) and percentage identity (PI) is compared to analyze the plant identity at species level. The phylogenic trees constructed to show the relatedness and distance of the analyzed plants in the history of evolution by the analysis of richness of clades. The construction of DNA barcode library of desert medicinal plants is an introductory research arena in Kingdom of Bahrain in helping the routine identification of plants, and developing guidelines for detection of adulterants in herbal medicines as well as protection of biodiversity.

Soil organic carbon(SOC)and nitrogen(N)mineralization are important biogeochemical processes associated with soil *** processes are influenced by physically,chemically,and biologically stabilized SOC fractions,the mechanisms of which are not well *** present study was conducted to evaluate the combined effect of manure and mineral fertilizers on the contents of SOC fractions to promote the mineralization of SOC and *** included:i)no fertilizer control(CK);ii)a combination of mineral N,phosphorus,and potassium fertilizers(NPK);iii)manure alone(m);iv)manure combined with NPK(mNPK);and v)a high dose of manure combined with NPK(hmNPK).The combined uses of manure and mineral fertilizers(mNPK and hmNPK)enhanced the accumulation of the unprotected coarse particulate organic carbon(C)fraction(cPOC)by 44%-72%compared to *** applications(m,mNPK and hmNPK)enhanced physically microaggregate-protected organic C(μagg),physicochemically protected organic C within the microaggregate-derived silt(μsilt)fraction(H-μsilt),and physicobiochemically protected organic C within theμsilt fraction(NH-μsilt)by 30%-56%,62%-150%,and 27%-51%,*** contrast,all chemically and biochemically protected SOC fractions showed a minor response to manure *** of cPOC,μagg,H-μsilt,and physicochemically protected organic C within the microaggregate-derived clay fraction(H-μclay)significantly contributed to the mineralization of SOC and N,resulting in a significant increase in rice grain yield with long-term manure *** summary,long-term combined use of manure and mineral fertilizers improved SOC accumulation in unprotected and physically protected fractions,which enhanced SOC and N mineralization and benefited soil productivity in a rice-wheat cropping system.

Soil salinity affects the growth and yield of *** stress of soil salinity on plants can be mitigated by inoculation of plant growth promoting bacteria(PGPR).The influence of PGPR inoculation on wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)crop productivity under salinity stress has not been properly addressed so ***,the present study was conducted to investigate the effects of various PGPR strains(W14,W10 and 6K;alone and combined)at several growth attributes of wheat plant under different soil salinity gradients(3,6 and 9 dS m-1).The growth attributes of wheat(height,roots,shoots,spikes,grains quality,biological and economical yield,nutrients nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium in grains)were highly affected by salinity and decreased with increasing salinity *** PGPR inoculation substantially promoted growth attributes of wheat and prominent results were observed in W14×W10×6K treatment at all salinity *** results suggest that inoculation of PGPR is a potential strategy to mitigate salinity stress for improving wheat growth and yield.

Guwahati city which lies in the North Eastern region of India, falls in the highest seismic risk zonal level i.e. zone V in India. However, there are very few works on seismic hazard analysis of Guwahati soil considering the local site effects. The effect of large modifications in seismic waves that occur due to variation in soil properties near the surface of the earth is of great importance in geotechnical earthquake engineering. Seismic soil liquefaction, a soil seismic hazard, is evaluated in Guwahati city in terms of factor of safety against liquefaction along the soil profiles using ground response analysis. One dimensional ground response analysis has been conducted using equivalent linear and non linear method using the Deepsoil software. The input motion of 2011 Sikkim earthquake (mw = 6.9) having bedrock PGA of 0.152 g at 30 m depth is considered. A comparative study has been made of the equivalent linear and non linear analysis in terms of surface PGA (g), maximum strain (%), maximum stress ratio and liquefaction potential using soil profiles of Guwahati city. It has been observed that stiffer soil layer results in similar PGA from both the analysis however non linear analysis generally gives a lesser surface PGA than by equivalent linear analysis. Non linear analysis generally gives a higher strain range and a lower maximum stress ratio as compared to the equivalent linear method. A slightly higher factor of safety is obtained using non linear analysis than using equivalent linear analysis. A soil database of 200 bore holes was used for the study. Spatial distribution of soil liquefaction potential is presented in the form of GIS based maps of factor of safety values.

揭示环境筛选和空间过程在生物群落构建中的比例是集合群落生态学的一个重要研究方向,是群落生态学的新兴学科之一,是研究群落聚集过程的重要范式。在许多河流生态系统中,大型底栖无脊椎动物已经得到了广泛的研究,而高山河流的集合群落生态学研究较少。本研究的主要目标是加深对大型无脊椎动物生物多样性分布模式的理解,同时研究中国西南山地的白马雪山高山溪流中调节溪流大型无脊椎动物集合群落组成的区域和局地环境因素的相对影响。研究以不同的采样策略分别在金沙江流域三条溪流的35个样点(研究Ⅰ)和单条溪流的9个样点(研究 Ⅱ,为期3年)采集环境数据和生物标本。在每个样点使用Surber网(30 X 30 cm,500 μm网目大小)收集大型无脊椎动物的重复样品(5次重复采样)。对所有采集到的大型无脊椎动物标本进行了分类鉴定,大部分分类单元鉴定到属水平。现场水环境指标测定使用手持便携式多参数水质测定仪,指标包括电导率、水温、氧化还原电位、总溶解固体、溶解氧和pH值。其余环境指标,包括总氮、总磷、盐度、溶解性有机碳、总有机碳、硝酸盐、氨盐溶解性硅酸盐浓度在实验室测定。使用GPS设备标定每个采样点的坐标及海拔高度、使用流速仪测量溪流流速及水深、使用浊度计测量浊度、用皮尺测量溪流的宽度,同时观察并记录周边土地利用特征和其他空间因素。本研究使用不同的多变量分析方法,对群落和环境矩阵以及丰富度和多样性指数进行了分析。正向选择算法被用来计算局地环境(包括土地类型变量)和空间因子矩阵,用于约束性排序模型。利用冗余分析和变异划分,本文评估了空间和局地环境特征在集合群落中的重要性。本研究共采集并鉴定了 17823头大型无脊椎动物标本,共分为73个分类单元,由3门、6纲、12目、47科组成。Insecta占所有个体数 86.05%,其次是 Clitellata(13.28%),malacostraca(0.39%),Rhabditophora 和Arachnida(0.10%),以及 Entognatha(0.04%)。其中,Baetidae是2017年和2019年两个时期的优势科,2018年优势科为Tubificidae。结果表明,不同时期大型无脊椎动物群落组成存在显著差异。此外,环境过滤和空间过程共同塑造了大型无脊椎动物集合群落的结构,而它们各自在群落构建中的贡献在不同时期发生变化。冗余分析和变异划分分析表明,局地环境特征是群落构建的主要影响因素,而空间因素也发挥了重要影响。同时,研究表明,分类单元注释的准确性、一致性和群落构建过程的相对强度在各时期都发生了变化。特别是2018年和2019年,在确定群落组合时,存在更强的环境过滤。这意味着在这些时期,控制溪流群落动态时,确定性机制占主导地位。相反,2017年期间,空间特征对集合群落的影响更大,这反映了高的水文连通性导致的物种扩散机制可能是影响群落构建的主要原因。高山溪流大型无脊椎动物集合群落的构建是由空间过程和环境过滤的组合来驱动的,但它们的相对作用会随着时间的变化而产生变化。因此,水生态系统的群落生态学研究应该超越单一的快照式研究。许多大型底栖无脊椎动物对栖息地干扰较敏感,其中蜉蝣目昆虫最容易受到影响。尽管蜉蝣目受环境变化的影响较大,但在高山溪流中,有关其物种丰富度和多样性的研究仍然有限。本研究深入解析蜉蝣目昆虫的群落构成,以及物理和化学因子对高山溪流这一特定昆虫类群的影响。研究结果显示,不同溪流的蜉蝣目群落结构不同。就相对丰度而言,Baetiella marginata和Baetis sp.是优势物种,占溪流之间差异的一半以上。三条溪流中,曳日河物种丰富度和多样性最高,紧接着是奔子栏河,而在沙荣河多样性相对较低,这些差异可能是溪流之间环境异质性较大的结果。冗余分析结果表明,海拔、水温、总溶解固体、溶解性硅酸盐、电导率和pH值是环境变量中群落构成差异的首要因子。其中,仅海拔因子就占环境变异的17.74%,深入的分析验证了其对多样性测度的显著影响。未来的研究应集中于确定高山溪流蜉蝣目群落面临的威胁程度,特别是面对人类干扰的影响。另外,在面对栖息地退化和水污染的情况下,水生生态系统的持续监测对于进一步调查其生态状况至关重要。

This study is focused on?nonlinear analysis and design of?spatial and perimeter moment resisting frames for a 9-storeys?office building?having?9.15?m span.?Seismic?design criteria of Eurocode 8?Ductility Class High (DCH)?with behavior factor (q) of 6.5 and AISC/ASCE code,?Special moment resisting Frame (SmF) with response modification factor (R) of 8 were employed.?The design outcomes?are?expressed in terms of frame performance?(non-linear analysis), section profiles?(code recommendations), strength-demand to capacity ratios, drift-demand to capacity?ratios and structural weight. The consequences of the research compare?two codes in term of weights and design performances.?This will aid professional engineers and researchers to select effective design criteria and capacity design rules?efficiently.

Background:machine learning to predict morbidity and mortality-especially in a population traditionally considered low risk-has not been previously *** sought to characterize the incidence of death among patients with a low estimated morbidity and mortality risk based on the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program(NSQIP)estimated probability(EP),as well as develop a machine learning model to identify individuals at risk for“unpredicted death”(UD)among patients undergoing hepatopancreatic(HP)***:The NSQIP database was used to identify patients who underwent elective HP surgery between *** risk of morbidity and mortality was stratified into three tiers(low,intermediate,or high estimated)using a k-means clustering method with bin sorting.A machine learning classification tree and multivariable regression analyses were used to predict 30-day mortality with a 10-fold cross validation.C statistics were used to compare model ***:Among 63,507 patients who underwent an HP procedure,median patient age was 63(IQR:54-71)*** underwent either pancreatectomy(n=38,209,60.2%)or hepatic resection(n=25,298,39.8%).Patients were stratified into three tiers of predicted morbidity and mortality risk based on the NSQIP EP:low(n=36,923,58.1%),intermediate(n=23,609,37.2%)and high risk(n=2,975,4.7%).Among 36,923 patients with low estimated risk of morbidity and mortality,237 patients(0.6%)experienced a *** to the classification tree analysis,age was the most important factor to predict UD(importance 16.9)followed by preoperative albumin level(importance:10.8),disseminated cancer(importance:6.5),preoperative platelet count(importance:6.5),and sex(importance 5.9).Among patients deemed to be low risk,the c-statistic for the machine learning derived prediction model was 0.807 compared with an AUC of only 0.662 for the NSQIP ***:A prognostic model derived using machine learning methodology performed better than t

采用电弧离子镀的方法制备了不同数目(1、2、4、6)双层结构的AlCrN/AlCrVN多层涂层,并研究了多层结构对涂层微观结构、力学、摩擦学和切削性能的影响。结果显示,沉积态AlCrN/AlCrVN多层涂层主要由固溶(Al,Cr)N组成,优先生长方向为[111]晶向。与其他多层涂层相比,具有6层双层结构的AlCrN/AlCrVN涂层在高温下表现出较低的摩擦系数(约0.46)和磨损率(0.15×10^(−11) m^(3)/N·m),以及较高的硬度(HK_(0.05)=38000 mPa)和膜-基结合强度(L_(C2)=53±1 N)。多层涂层相邻层之间形成了较多的界面,有助于提高多层涂层的硬度和耐磨性。切削试验结果显示,当切削磨损标准VB=0.2时,AlCrN/AlCrVN-6涂层具有较高的硬度和耐磨性,最长的切削长度为7.4 m。

Chrysopogon serrulatus(false beard-grass)is a dominant component of vegetation in the foothills of the *** study whole plant morphology,individuals of *** were collected from three plots at each of six locations spanning from 400 to 1,400 *** population colonizing the highest elevation modifications in different plant *** showed increased metaxylem number and *** the stem,especially outside of the vascular tissue,there was intensive sclerification indicative of increased xeromorphy as a survival *** the highest elevation,leaves were wider;aerenchyma formation and increased sclerification were noted in the leaf sheath;and a greater proportion of storage parenchyma was observed in the leaf blade,all indicators of *** contrast,leaves at lower elevations had xeric morphological features such as increased epidermal thickness,sclerification and more developed metaxylem *** conclusion,shifting of morphological features in below-and above-ground plant parts of *** were linked to shifts in environmental factors along this elevation gradient,thus enabling the successful distribution of this species along this elevation gradient.
