The application of swirl tube cyclone for gas-liquid separation is attractive due to its small size and weight. however, very scarce information on the performance of the swirl tube cyclone especially at high operating pressure emulating actual field condition was published in journals. Performance assessment was usually done at a low operating pressure using either air-water, air-fine particle mixtures or dense gas such as SF6 . This paper fills the existing gaps and reports the initial findings on the performance assessment of a horizontal swirl tube cyclone for gas-liquid separation operating at a flow rate of 5 mmSCFD at 40-60 bar operating pressure.

Using a melt-cooling process with the host glass,Dy_(2)O_(3)(1 wt%,2 wt%,3 wt%,and 4 wt%) doped tellurite glasses were produced.A(65-x)TeO_(2)-20b_(2)O_(3)-10Al_(2)O_(3)-SGeO_(2)-xDy_(2)O_(3) glass system was analyzed by Xray diffraction.The patterns have a hump at 2θ=27°-29° and no sharp peaks,indicating that all the glass samples are amorphous.The Vickers microhardness determines how resistant a glass is to persistent deformation produced by a harder substance.Differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) at 300-550℃ was used to evaluate the thermal properties of the Dy_x glass samples.The glass transition temperature T_g(small endothermic peak),start crystallization temperature T_x and crystallization temperature T_c can all be seen on the DSC thermogram(exothermic peaks).The UV-Vis transmittance and absorption spectra were measured.The optical data show that the values of E_d^(ir),E_g^(Ind) and E_U decrease as the amount of Dy_(2)O_(3)increases,indicating a narrowing of the tails due to localized states in the forbidden gap.A concentration quenching event occurs when Dy^(3+) concentrations are above a certain threshold(1%).The addition of Dy_(2)O_(3) increases glass density,while the addition of other Dy(Ⅲ) oxides increases sample density.The radiation shielding values change as a consequence of density fluctuation.The sample with the highest amount of Dy_(2)O_(3)(Dy_(4)) has stronger radiation shielding characteristics;hence,it is superior in terms of shielding outcomes at all energy levels.Such Dy_x samples can be used in various forms of ionizing radiation shielding.

The surface tension study is very crucial for the design of CO2 gas absorption contacting equipment. The significance of the surface tension has been increasing due to its consideration in various technological fields. This property influences the mass transfer and hydrodynamics of gas absorption systems, mainly multiphase systems, in which the interface between gas and liquid exists. Therefore, in this study, surface tension of aqueous solutions of sodium L-prolinate(SP) and piperazine(PZ) blends were measured at ten different temperatures from(298.15 to 343.15) K. The SP mass fractions were 0.10, 0.20, and 0.30;while the mass fractions of PZ were 0.02 and 0.05. The experimental results showed that the surface tension increase with increasing the mass fractions of SP and PZ in aqueous blends, and decrease linearly with rising temperature. The experimental data of surface tension were correlated by two empirical correlations as a function of temperature and mass fractions for estimating the predicted data using the optimized correlation coefficients. moreover, the modeling of surface tension data was carried out using Artificial Neural Network(ANN) approach. The results obtianed from ANN modeling were compared with applied empirical correlation. It was found that the ANN approach outperformed the empirical correlation used in this study. besides, a quantitative analysis of variation(ANOVA) was performed in order to determine the significance of data. The surface tension of aqueous SP and SP + PZ was also compared with various conventional solvents.

This research was aimed to study the effect winding orientation on the crashworthiness performance of hybrid tube.The specimens tested under quasi-static compression load involve of three winding parameters(q?30,45and 70)of hybrid kenaf/glass fiber reinforced epoxy and glass fiber reinforced epoxy as contrast specimen.The automated filament winding technique has been used in fabrication of hybrid and non-hybrid composite tube and crashworthiness performance was investigated experimentally.The effects of winding orientation on energy absorption capabilities and crashworthiness characteristic were investigated through quasi-static compression load and the result are compared with the glass fiber composite tube to justify the capability of hybrid natural/synthetic as energy absorption application.hybridized samples proved to enhancing the progressive crushing capability as combination of local buckling,delaminate and brittle fracturing as progressive crushing modes.In the view of winding orientation aspect,the results of high winding orientation of hybrid composite tube elevated the crush load efficiency,specific energy absorption and energy absorption capability compared to glass composite tube(GFRP).The hybrid kenaf/glass composite tube with high winding orientation showed the best winding orientation to enhance the energy absorber characteristics as energy absorption application.

The strength-ductility trade-offhas been a longstanding dilemma in metallic materials.here we report an innovative approach to achieve a high strength-ductility synergy via dual precipitation of sheared and bypassed precipitates.(Ni_(2) Co_(2) FeCr)_(96-x) Al_(4) Nb_(x)(at.%)alloys strengthened by nanoscale L12 particles and Laves precipitates were selected as a model for this study,and their precipitate microstructures and mechanical properties were thoroughly investigated.The dual-precipitation-strengthened alloys exhibit a yield strength of more than 1400 mPa,an ultimate tensile strength of over 1800 mPa,and a uniform elon-gation of 18%,thus achieving a high strength-ductility synergy.Our analysis reveals that the nanoscale L1_(2) precipitates contribute to the strength via the particle shearing mechanism,whereas the Laves phase provides the strengthening through the Orowan bypass mechanism.The study of deformation microstruc-tures shows that the L1_(2) precipitates are sheared by stacking faults,which facilitates long-range disloca-tion gliding through the matrix.As a result,deformation induces the formation of hierarchical stacking fault networks and immobile Lomer-Cottrell locks,which effectively enhance the work hardening ca-pability and plastic stability,thereby resulting in a high ductility at high strength levels.Dislocations are piled-up against the interface between the Laves precipitates and matrix,which increases the work hardening capability at the early stages of plastic deformation but causes stress concentrations.The dual precipitation strategy may be useful for many other alloys for achieving superior mechanical properties for technological applications.

The custom of hybridization fibre composite in energy absorption tube application has gained the attention of structural crashworthiness in composite material industry. Thus, the approach of this review is to understand the effect in hybridization within metal/synthetic fibre composite, synthetic/synthetic fibre composite and nature/synthetic fibre composite as energy absorption tube, which reflects on the energy absorption characteristics and crashworthiness behaviors in previous the study. by way of instance, a wide range of methodology and particular parameter in previous study such as the effect in fibre arrangement, matrix polymer, technique of fabrication, fibre treatment(natural fibre), design in geometry/cross-section and others mechanism of hybrid fibre composite tube are highlighted which to comprehend the capability of the mechanical performance and collapsible behavior as sacrificial structure in high-performance structure applications. moreover, in the recently studies there have been many of the research regarding structural materials as energy absorption tube has been introduced such as metal/matrix composites, new alloy metals and polymer composites which intended to evaluate the performance of these materials into circumstance in loading and impact characteristic. Therefore, this review article is trying to explore the research articles related to the effect of hybridization fibres and thermoset polymer as reinforcement for energy absorption tube research and expected would provide an information and idea which to expend the knowledge in future study of hybridization effect for energy absorption tube, moreover the development for future potential as new hybrid composite fibre materials from the natural/synthetic fibres reinforced composite material in employing of high-performance energy absorption tube application is still less discover and highlighted.

为了预测某裂缝性气藏在18年规划周期内的累计产量,建立了3种元模型,并结合数值模拟累计产量预测结果对各模型进行了验证和对比。估算了气藏的基本参数(孔隙度、渗透率及含水饱和度)并对气藏进行了数值模拟。将气藏内某井18年内的累计产量表示为各气藏参数的函数,采用储量计算经验函数排除了研究空间内的低潜力点,并基于最大熵准则选取25个高潜力点作为设计点。建立了二次模型、乘性模型和RbF模型3种元模型,基于各模型预测了25个设计点和7个试验点处的累计产量。预测结果表明:各模型均能比较准确地预测累计产量;RbF模型的累计产量预测准确性优于另外2种模型;与数值模拟方法相比,元建模方法的计算时间大幅缩短。

The three-dimensional(3D) nano?uid ?ow among the rotating circular plates ?lled with nanoparticles and gyrotactic microorganisms is studied. A generalized form of the magnetic Reynolds number is used for the mathematical modeling of the ferro-nano?uid ?ow. The torque e?ects on the lower and upper plates are calculated.A di?erential transform scheme with the Pad′e approximation is used to solve the coupled highly nonlinear ordinary di?erential equations. The results show that the squeeze Reynolds number signi?cantly suppresses the temperature, microorganism, and nanoparticle concentration distribution, and agree well with those obtained by the numerical method.
