Quantum communication provides an enormous advantage over its classical counterpart： security of communications based on the very principles of quantum mechanics. Researchers have proposed several approaches for user identity authentication via entanglement. Unfortunately, these protocols fail because an attacker can capture some of the particles in a transmitted sequence and send what is left to the receiver through a quantum channel. Subsequently, the attacker can restore some of the confidential messages, giving rise to the possibility of information leakage. Here we present a new robust General N user authentication protocol based on N-particle Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger （GHZ） states, which makes eavesdropping detection more effective and secure, as compared to some current authentication protocols. The security analysis of our protocol for various kinds of attacks verifies that it is unconditionally secure, and that an attacker will not obtain any information about the transmitted key. moreover, as the number of transferred key bits N becomes larger, while the number of users for transmitting the information is increased, the probability of effectively obtaining the transmitted authentication keys is reduced to zero.

Given their numerous functional and architectural benefits,such as improved bearing capacity and increased resistance to elastic instability modes,cold-formed steel(CFS)built-up sections have become increasingly developed and used in recent years,particularly in the construction *** paper presents an analytical and numerical study of assembled CFS two single channel-shaped columns with different slenderness and configurations(backto-back,face-to-face,and box).These columns were joined by double-row rivets for the back-to-back and box configurations,whereas they were welded together for the face-to-face *** built-up columns were filled with ordinary concrete of good *** element models were applied,using ABAQUS software,to assess mechanical performance and study the influence of assembly techniques on the behavior of cold-formed columns under axial *** approaches based on Eurocode 3 and Eurocode 4 recommendations for un-filled and concrete-filled columns respectively were followed for the numerical analysis,and concrete confinement effects were also considered per American Concrete Institute(ACI)standards for face-to-face and box *** obtained results indicated a good correlation between the numerical results and the proposed analytical methodology which did not exceed 8%.The failure modes showed that the columns failed due to instabilities such as local and global buckling.

With the increase of heat transfer problems in marine vehicles and submerged power stations in oceans,the search for an efficient finned-tube heat exchanger has become particularly *** purpose of the present investigation is to analyze and compare the thermal exchange and flow characteristics between five different fin designs,namely:a concentric circular finned-tube(CCFT),an eccentric circular finned-tube(ECFT),a perforated circular finned-tube(PCFT),a serrated circular finned-tube(SCFT),and a star-shaped finned-tube(S-SFT).The fin design and spacing impact on the thermal-flow performance of a heat exchanger was computed at Reynolds numbers varying from 4,300 to 15,*** the numerical results,and when the fin spacing has been changed from 2 to 7 mm,an enhancement in the Colburn factor and a reduction in the friction factor and fin performances were observed for all cases under *** criteria were checked to select the most efficient fin design:the performance evaluation criterion P EC,the global performance criterion G PC,and the mass global performance criterion m G *** the value of Reynolds number,the conventional CCFT provided the lowest performance evaluation criterion P EC,while the SCFT gave the highest amount of P *** most significant value of G PC was reached with the ECFT;however,G PC remained almost the same for CCFT,PCFT,SCFT,and *** terms of the mass global performance criterion,the S-SFT provides the highest m Gpc as compared with the full fins of CCFT(41-73%higher)and ECFT(29-54%higher).Thus,the heat exchanger with S-SFT is recommended to be used in the cooling of offshore energy systems.

AIm To investigate the association of tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNFα)-G308 A polymorphism with different liver pathological changes in treatment-na?ve Egyptian patients infected with hepatitis C virus(HCV) genotype *** This study included 180 subjects,composed of 120 treatment-na?ve chronic HCV patients with different fibrosis grades(F0-F4) and 60 healthy controls. The TNFα-G308 A region was amplified by PCR and the different genotypes were detected by restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis. The TNFα protein was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The influence of different TNFα-G308 A genotypes on TNFα expression and liver disease progression were statistically analyzed. The OR and 95%CI were calculated to assess the relative risk *** Current data showed that the TNFα-G308 A SNP frequency was significantly different between controls and HCV infected patients(P = 0.001). Both the AA genotype and A allele were significantly higher in late fibrosis patients(F2-F4,n = 60) than in early fibrosis patients(F0-F1,n = 60)(P = 0.05,0.04 respectively). moreover,the GA or AA genotypes increased the TNFα serum level greater than the GG genotype(P = 0.002). The results showed a clear association between severe liver pathological conditions(inflammation,steatosis and fibrosis) and(GA + AA) genotypes(P = 0.035,0.03,0.04 respectively). The stepwise logistic regression analysis showed that the TNFα genotypes(GA + AA) were significantly associated with liver inflammation(OR = 3.776,95%CI: 1.399-10.194,P = 0.009),severe steatosis(OR = 4.49,95%CI: 1.441-14.0,P = 0.010) and fibrosis progression(OR = 2.84,95%CI: 1.080-7.472,P = 0.034). Also,the A allele was an independent risk factor for liver inflammation(P = 0.003),steatosis(P = 0.003) and fibrosis(P = 0.014). CONCLUSION TNFα SNP at nucleotide-308 represents an important genetic marker that can be used for the prognosis of different liver pathological changes in HCV infected

Background: Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most common entrapment neuropathy and consists of the compression of the median nerve as it courses through the carpal tunnel. Carpal tunnel syndrome was diagnosed by history and physical examination, electrodiagnostic studies (EDX) were used to confirm the diagnosis. However, these studies are painful for most of the patients with high incidence of false positive or false negative results. Ultrasound is a low cost, short time and non-invasiveness technique that could be used to assess a number of parameters of the median nerve (mN) in cases of CTS. Objective: To assess the utility of high resolution ultrasound (HRUS) in assessment of median nerve in carpal tunnel syndrome through different ultrasound diagnostic criteria in patients with clinical and electrodiagnostic evidence of CTS. Patients and methods: This study included a total of 60 participants divided into 2 groups;group A, the patients group included 30 patients with a clinical diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) and group B, the control group who included 30 sex and age-matched healthy individuals. All the included cases were subjected to full history taking, full general and general examination. Nerve conduction studies were performed using a Caldwell Sierra Wave and the NCS consisted of sensory median nerve conduction tests using standard techniques. High resolution US was performed by using an Aplio 400 Ultrasound System. The following measurement was recorded in each of the included subjects including cross sectional area (CSA) of the median nerve, flattening ratio (FR) of median nerve and palmar bowing (PB) of the flexor retinaculum. Results: There was high statistically significant difference in the mean CSA and mean PB between the cases with CTS and healthy control. Background and Objective: Osteosarcoma is a rare bone cancer with approximately 30% - 35% of patients who will relapse either systemically or locally, with the lung being the commonest site of relapse. The objective of this trial was to evaluate the efficacy of cyclophosphamide and etoposide, in treatment of metastatic osteosarcoma patients progressed after one or more chemotherapy lines, with the progression free survival and treatment response as the primary endpoints, while the secondary endpoints were overall survival and treatment toxicity. Patients and methods: Twenty seven metastatic osteosarcoma patients were enrolled into this trial and received cyclophosphamide and etoposide chemotherapy. Cyclophosphamide was given at a dose of 500 mg/m2 per day, I.V for 5 days and etoposide (100 mg/m2 per day I.V for 5 days). Response was assessed after 3 cycles according to Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) version 1.1. Chemotherapy Toxicity was graded according to the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE). Results: The median overall survival time and progression-free survival were 12 months and 8 months, respectively. Four patients (14.8%) achieved partial response;14 patients (51.9%) had stationary disease (SD);and 9 (33.3%) expressed tumor progression. Hematologic toxicity was the main toxicity. None of the patients had G4 or life threatening toxicities. Conclusion: The combination of cyclophosphamide and etoposide represents an efficient and tolerable treatment option for patients with metastatic osteosarcoma.

Decaying of Nitrogen Second Positive System by Addition of H2Gas in Air DB Discharge

Effects of addition of H2 gas in air DB discharge on its optical and electrical characteristics have been studied. Optical emission spectroscopy is used to investigate the effect of hydrogen admixing on the emission intensity of the nitrogen second positive systems (300 - 420 nm) and the relative population density of states. An obvious decaying of the emission intensity of the nitrogen second positive bands with the introduction of H2 has been observed. It has been concluded that quenching of the nitrogen excited state is the responsible reason of this decaying. mechanisms of excitation and ionization processes of nitrogen molecules in this mixture have been studied. Processes which are responsible for the decaying of the population density of have been reported. Addition of H2 to air improves the electrical characteristics of the DB discharge. An abrupt increasing in the electron density, reached about thirty fold at H2 flow rate of 3 L/min, as a result of increasing the ionization processes has been reported. The breakdown voltage of the discharge decreased from 1.87 kV to about 1.25 kV by the addition of H2 at flow rate of 3 L/min.

Utilize small size of bolti and sardine fish in preparing fish based weaning foods rich in protein, essential amino acids, fat high in omega 3 fatty acids, minerals and vitamins was investigated. The proximate composition, nutritional value, physical and sensorial properties were evaluated, The results of the chemical composition showed that the moisture content of fish based weaning food purees ranged from 67.73% to 72.05%. On dry weight basis, the five prepared formulations considered rich in protein (37.39% - 44.86%), fat (26.55% - 30.43%), ash (6.53% - 12.23%) and low in carbohydrates (20.70% - 22.18%). Using fish bones with muscles in preparing weaning food puree caused a marked rise in its content of Ca, P, Fe, and Zn levels especially in purees formulated from bolti. Weaning food purees containing sardine fish rich, in fat, were higher in vitamin A and D than those formulated from bolti one. Palmitic acid (C16:0), stearic acid (C18:0), and myristic acid (C14:0) represented the major saturated fatty acids in the prepared formulations. Weaning food purees containing sardine fish had relatively higher levels of sulfur-mily:Verdana;">containing amino acids and slight lower values of lysine, alanine and glycine than these including bolti fish.
