Phytochemical, antioxidant and hepatoprotective effects of different fractions of moringa oleifera leaves methanol extract against liver injury in animal model

Objective: To evaluate the potential antioxidant and hepatoprotective effects of n-hexane, dichloromethane(DCm), ethyl acetate(EtOAc), n-butanol and aqueous fractions of moringa oleifera(m. oleifera) leaves methanol extract against carbon tetrachloride(CCl_4)-induced liver injury in rats. methods: These fractions were prepared from the m. oleifera leaves methanol extract by solubilization in water and partitioning in n-hexane, EtOAc, DCm and n-butanol. Their phyto-components were identified by GC-mS analysis. The in vitro antioxidant effect of these fractions was carried out by assessment of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl scavenging activity. A total of 40 Sprague Dawley rats were allocated into 8 equal groups: group 1 given olive oil(1 m L/kg ***.), group 2 injected with CCl_4, group 3 to 7 administered with n-hexane, DCm, EtOAc, n-butanol and aqueous fractions, respectively after CCl_4, group 8 administered with silymarin after CCl_4. The activities of aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, and the levels of total cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose, total proteins and albumin in serum were determined spectrophotometrically. Glutathione reduced, lipid peroxide by-products levels, glutathione-s-transferase and catalase enzyme activities in the liver homogenate were determined by spectrophotometer. Liver specimens were also examined for histopathological alterations under light microscope. Results: The GCmS analysis of different fractions of the m. oleifera leaves methanol extract revealed that n-hexane, DCm, EtOAc, n-butanol, and aqueous fractions contained 17, 22, 23, 19 and 32 compounds, respectively. The percent and the molecular structure of each component in each fraction were identified. The n-butanol and EtOAc fractions exhibited the strongest in vitro antioxidant activity against 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl. The accurate prediction of energy consumption has effective role in decision making and risk management for individuals and ***,the accurate prediction can be realized using the recent advances in machine learning and predictive *** research proposes a novel approach for energy consumption forecasting based on a new optimization algorithm and a new forecasting model consisting of a set of long short-term memory(LSTm)*** proposed optimization algorithm is used to optimize the parameters of the LSTm-based model to boost its forecasting *** optimization algorithm is based on the recently emerged dipper-throated optimization(DTO)and stochastic fractal search(SFS)algo-rithm and is referred to as dynamic *** prove the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed approach,five standard benchmark algorithms,namely,stochastic fractal search(SFS),dipper throated optimization(DTO),whale optimization algorithm(WOA),particle swarm optimization(PSO),and grey wolf optimization(GWO),are used to optimize the parameters of the LSTm-based model,and the results are compared with that of the proposed *** results show that the proposed DDTOSFS+LSTm can accurately forecast the energy consumption with root mean square error RmSE of 0.00013,which is the best among the recorded results of the other *** addition,statistical experiments are conducted to prove the statistical difference of the proposed *** results of these tests confirmed the expected outcomes.

Coal contains a significant concentration of free radicals as a result of the coalification process. One of the experimental methods sensitive to the presence of radicals is electron spin resonance （ESR）, and differences in ESR spectra for different macerals may provide insight into coal-forming processes. In this study, ESR data along with the H/C atomic ratio （to infer the aromatic fraction） are used to characterize coal samples with the aim of assessing a fire-origin for dominant inertinite macerals. A medium rank C bituminous Witbank No. 4 Seam Upper coal （the parent） was density- fractionated to create vitrinite-rich and inertinite-rich samples. The parent sample consists of 42 vol% vitrinite and 49 vol% inertinite. The density-fractionated samples comprise of 81 vol% total vitrinite （dominated by collotelinite and collodetrinite）, and 63 vol% total inertinite （dominated by fusinite, semifusinite, and inertodetrinite）. The H/C ratio is 0.74 for the inertinite-rich sample, and 0.85 for the vitrinite-rich counterpart, suggesting the former sample is more aromatic. The ESR spectra obtained for the three samples were found to fit best using a Lorentzian distribution. The fit is noticeably better for the aromatic inertinite-rich sample, for which the spectrum is symmetric. This is attributed to pronounced electron mobility and exchange interactions. The higher radical content of the inertinite-rich and parent samples is attributed to the presence of specific inertinite macerals, namely： fusinite, semifusinite, and inertodetrinite. And, owing to the greater radical content of the inertinite-rich sample, the dominant inertinite macerals are interpreted to have formed through charring of plant matter.

Since the end of the 1990s,cryptosystems implemented on smart cards have had to deal with two main categories of attacks:side-channel attacks and fault injection *** have been developed and validated against these two types of attacks,taking into account a well-defined attacker *** work focuses on small vulnerabilities and countermeasures related to the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm(ECDSA)*** work done in this paper focuses on protecting the ECDSA algorithm against fault-injection *** precisely,we are interested in the countermeasures of scalar multiplication in the body of the elliptic curves to protect against attacks concerning only a few bits of secret may be sufficient to recover the private *** can be implemented in different ways,in software or via dedicated hardware or a mix of *** different architectures are therefore possible to implement an ECDSA-based *** this reason,this work focuses mainly on the hardware implementation of the digital signature *** addition,the proposed ECDSA architecture with and without fault detection for the scalar multiplication have been implemented on Xilinxfield programmable gate arrays(FPGA)platform(Virtex-5).Our implementation results have been compared and *** area,frequency,area overhead and frequency degradation have been compared and it is shown that the proposed architecture of ECDSA with fault detection for the scalar multiplication allows a trade-off between the hardware overhead and the security of the ECDSA.

In the present study,the effects of microstructure,grain size,and texture after thermomechanical processing on the corrosion behavior of AISI 321 austenitic stainless steel(ASS)were *** as-received,coarse-grained steel((35±3)μm)was subjected to 20%,50%and 90%thickness reduction through cold rolling at liquid nitrogen temperature,followed by annealing at 750,950 and 1050℃for 15 *** occurred after annealing at 750℃,and with the increasing of annealing temperature to 950℃and 1050℃,secondary recrystallization(abnormal grain growth)and grain growth were *** results showed that,after 20%thickness reduction,corrosion resistance increased significantly(21.1 kΩ·cm^(2))compared with the as-received condition(3.9 kΩ·cm^(2))due to the enhancement ofγ-fiber and the creation ofΣ3 *** contrast,the corrosion resistance decreased with the increasing of thickness reduction to 90%during rolling,but still depicted higher corrosion resistance compared with the as-received *** annealing the 90%cold rolled(CR)specimens at 750 and 950℃,the corrosion resistance increased in comparison with the as-received sample as a result of the more uniform microstructure,appearance of Goss and brass texture components,and grain ***,significant grain growth((112±76)μm)followed by a non-uniform structure was observed after annealing at 1050℃and resulted in the lowest corrosion resistance(1.3 kΩ·cm^(2)).

This work investigates the steam condensation phenomena in an air-cooled *** considered horizontal flattened tube has a 30 mm hydraulic diameter,and its length is a function of the steam quality with a limit value between 0.95 and *** mass flow rate ranges from 4 to 40 kg/m^(2).s with a saturated temperature spanning an interval from 40°C to 80°C.A special approach has been implemented using the Engineering Equation Solver(EES)to solve a series of equations for the two-phase flow pattern and the related heat transfer coefficients.A wavy-stratified structure of the two-phase flow has been found when the mass rate was between 4 and 24 kg/m^(2).*** contrast,an initially annular flow is gradually converted into a wavy stratified flow(due to the condensation process taking place inside the flattened tube)when the considered range ranges from 32 to 40 kg/m^(2).s.

The most noteworthy neurodegenerative disorder nationwide is appar-ently the Alzheimer's disease(AD)which ha no proven viable treatment till date and despite the clinical trials showing the potential of preclinical therapy,a sen-sitive method for evaluating the AD has to be developed *** to the correla-tions between ocular and brain tissue,the eye(retinal blood vessels)has been investigated for predicting the ***,en enhanced method named Enhanced Long Short Term memory(E-LSTm)has been proposed in this work which aims atﬁnding the severity of AD from ocular ***ﬁnd the level of disease severity,the new layer named precise layer was introduced in E-LSTm which will help the doctors to provide the apt treatments for the patients *** avoid the problem of overﬁtting,a dropout has been added to *** the existing work,boundary detection of retinal layers was found to be inaccurate during the seg-mentation process of Optical Coherence Tomography(OCT)image and to over-come this issue;Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)has been *** the best of our understanding,this is theﬁrst paper to use Particle Swarm *** compared with the existing works,the proposed work is found to be per-forming better in terms of F1 Score,Precision,Recall,training loss,and segmen-tation accuracy and it is found that the prediction accuracy was increased to 10%higher than the existing systems.
