Response of structural and magnetic properties of ultra-thin FeCo–V foils to high-energy beam welding processes

microstructural evolutions and grain-boundary-character distribution during high-energy-beam welding of ultra-thin Fe Co-V foils were studied. Detailed data about the boundaries, coincidence site lattice（CSL） relationships, grain sizes, and microstructural features were acquired from electron-backscatter diffraction（EBSD） maps. moreover, the evolution of the magnetic properties during high-energy-beam welding was studied using vibrating sample magnetometry（VSm）. The fraction of low-angle boundaries was observed to increase in the fusion zones of both electron- and laser-beam-welded foils. The results showed that the fractions of low-Σ CSL boundaries（particularly twin boundaries, Σ3） in the fusion zones of the welded foils are higher than those in the base metal. Because the strain rates produced during high-energy-beam welding are very high（because of the extremely high cooling rate）, grain deformation by a slip mechanism is limited; therefore, deformation by grain twinning is dominant. VSm analysis showed that the magnetic properties of the welded foils, i.e., their remanence, coercive force, and energy product, changed significantly. The formation of large grains with preferred orientation parallel to the easy axis of magnetization was the main reason for the diminished magnetic properties.

The main aim of this research is to optimize the tensile strength of laser welded FeCo-V alloy.A mathematicalrelationship was developed to predict tensile strength of the laser beam welded FeCo-V foils by incorporating process parameterssuch as lamping current,welding speed,pulse duration and focused *** procedure was established to improve the weldstrength and increase the *** results indicate that the pulse duration and welding speed have the greatest influence ontensile *** obtained results showed that the tensile strength of the weld joints increase as a function of increasing pulseduration reaching to a maximum at a pulse duration value ***,the tensile strength of joints increases with decreasein welding speed reaching to a maximum at a welding speed of125mm/*** has been shown that increase in pulse duration anddecrease in welding speed result in increased effective peak power density and hence formation of more resistant *** higherpulse durations and lower welding speeds,the tensile strength of weld joints decreases because of formation of solidificationmicrocracks in the fusion zone.

AIm: To investigate pathogenic mutations related to malignant pheochromocytoma in neurofibromatosis(NF).mETHODS: We present a patient with NF and metastatic pheochromocytoma in whom genetic screening for presence of pathogenic mutations in RET protooncogene, von Hippel-Lindau(VHL) and succinate dehydrogenase complex subunits B(SDHB) genes were investigated. RET proto-oncogene mutation screening for exons 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16 were examined by polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and direct DNA sequencing in patient. mutation screening for exons 1, 2, 3 of VHL gene was carried out. Both forward and reverse strandswere subjected to direct sequencing after PCR amplification. The entire coding sequence of SDHB gene was screened for the presence of pathogenic mutations by ***: A 45-year-old man presented with abdominal pain and hypertension over the previous year. The patient was a known case of neurofibromatosis type 1(NF1) who presented at the age of 15 years with hyperpigmented and hypopigmented lesions. After complete evaluation for hypertension, biochemical tests and imagings indicated a malignant pheochromocytoma of 120 mm × 70 mm in size. The patient underwent left adrenalectomy, nephrectomy and splenectomy. After surgery the symptoms improved and blood pressure was controlled. After 5 years he was admitted again for evaluation of hypertensive crisis. Biochemical tests were again consistent with pheochromocytoma and disease relapse. Imaging studies and liver biopsy confirmed metastatic pheochromocytoma to the liver and para-aortic area. 131 Iodine-metaiodobenzylguanidine therapy was carried out. Genetic screening of VHL(exons 1, 2, 3), RET proto-oncogene(exons 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16) and SDH complex subunits revealed no pathogenic mutation. CONCLUSION: We conclude that mutations in the NF1 gene are responsible for the patient's clinical findings. However, would be helpful to further examine somatic mutations for a more precise study of genotypephenot

Objective: The detailed knowledge about protective effects of capsaicin(cap) and involved mechanisms against testicular torsion(TT) is still not available ***: male Wistar rats were assigned into four major cohorts:(i) sham,(ii) TT,(iii) three subgroups subjected to TT and different doses of cap(100, 500, and 1000 μg/mL), and(iv) three subgroups of healthy animals subjected to various concentrations of cap. The animals were decapitated at 24 h after reperfusion, and the evaluation of protein expression was performed by Western blotting assay. At 72 h after reperfusion, apoptotic cell death and tissue injury were evaluated by TUNEL nuclear and H&E staining,***: The results showed that cap administration following TT significantly increased the expression of tuberous sclerosis proteins 1 and 2(Tsc1/Tsc2) in a dose-dependent manner(P morphology and decreased tissue injury at the highest tested concentration(1000 μg/m L).Conclusion: Collectively, our findings demonstrate the validity of cap as a therapeutic agent against TT through targeting Tsc1/Tsc2 in a dose-dependent manner.

Obesity is one of the diseases with severe health consequences and rapidly increasing worldwide *** the complex network of food intake and energy balance regulation is an essential prerequisite for pharmacological intervention with obesity.G protein-coupled receptors(GPCRs)are among the main modulators of metabolism and energy ***,for instance,regulate appetite and satiety in certain hypothalamic neurons,as well as glucose and lipid metabolism and hormone secretion from *** in some GPCRs,such as the melanocortin receptor type 4(mC4R),have been associated with early-onset ***,we identified the adhesion GPCR latrophilin 1(ADGRL1/LPHN1)as a member of the regulating network governing food intake and the maintenance of energy *** of the highly conserved receptor in mice results in increased food consumption and severe obesity,accompanied by dysregulation of glucose ***,we identified a partially inactivating mutation in human ADGRL1/LPHN1 in a patient suffering from ***,we propose that LPHN1 dysfunction is a risk factor for obesity development.
