In this paper I will discuss certain elements of Eisenstein＇s later film theory and general aesthetic of the 1930s and 1940s. I will select a few elements in his theoretical interests that seem to be marxist, with comments on one kind of imagination of the utopian. I will ask about some peculiarities in his very distinctive film and aesthetic theories, which could be read as interventions in official Soviet aesthetic theory, but are not only that.

Computational materials discovery efforts are enabled by large databases of properties derived from high-throughput density functional theory(DFT),which now contain millions of calculations at the generalized gradient approximation(GGA)level of *** is now feasible to carry out high-throughput calculations using more accurate methods,such as meta-GGA DFT;however recomputing an entire database with a higher-fidelity method would not effectively leverage the enormous investment of computational resources embodied in existing(GGA)***,we propose here a general procedure by which higher-fidelity,low-coverage calculations(e.g.,meta-GGA calculations for selected chemical systems)can be combined with lower-fidelity,high-coverage calculations(e.g.,an existing database of GGA calculations)in a robust and scalable *** then use legacy PBE(+U)GGA calculations and new r2SCAN meta-GGA calculations from the materials Project database to demonstrate that our scheme improves solid and aqueous phase stability predictions,and discuss practical considerations for its implementation.

mXene-based aqueous symmetric supercapacitors(SSCs)are attractive due to their good rate performances and green ***,it remains a challenge to reach voltages much over 1.2 V,which significantly diminishes their energy ***,we report on mo_(1.33)CTz mXene-based SSCs possessing high voltages in a 19.5 m LiCl *** from the vacancy-rich structure and high stable potential window of mo_(1.33)CTz,the obtained SSCs deliver a maximum energy density of>38.2 mWh cm^(-3) at a power density of 196.6 mW cm^(-3) under an operating voltage of 1.4 V,along with excellent rate performance and impressive cycling *** highly concentrated LiCl electrolyte is also applicable to Ti_(3)C_(2)Tz,the most widely studied mXene,achieving a maximum energy density of>41.3 mWh cm^(-3) at a power density of 165.2 mW cm^(-3) with an operating voltage of 1.8 *** drop in energy density with increasing power in the Ti_(3)C_(2)Tz cells was steeper than for the mo-based *** work provides a roadmap to develop superior SSCs with high voltages and high energy densities.

AIm: To determine the utility of X-ray in identifying non-metallic foreign body(FB) and assess inter-radiologist agreement in identifying non-metal FB. mETHODS: Focus groups of nurses, fellows, and attending physicians were conducted to determine commonly ingested objects suitable for inclusion. Twelve potentially ingested objects(clay, plastic bead, crayon, plastic ring, plastic army figure, glass bead, paperclip, drywall anchor, eraser, Lego?, plastic triangle toy, and barrette) were embedded in a gelatin slab placed on top of a water-equivalent phantom to simulate density of a child's abdomen. The items were selected due to wide availability and appropriate size for accidental pediatric ingestion. Plain radiography of the embedded FBs was obtained. Five experienced radiologists blinded to number and types of objects were asked to identify the FBs. The radiologist was first asked to count thenumber of items that were visible then to identify the shape of each item and describe it to a study investigator who recorded all responses. Overall inter-rater reliability was analyzed using percent agreement and κ coefficient. We calculated P value to assess the probability of error involved in accepting the κ ***: Fourteen objects were radiographed including 12 original objects and 2 duplicates. The model's validity was supported by clear identification of a radiolucent paperclip as a positive control, and lack of identification of plastic beads(negative control) despite repeated inclusion. Each radiologist identified 7-9 of the 14 objects(mean 8, 67%). Six unique objects(50%) were identified by all radiologists and four unique objects(33%) were not identified by any radiologist(plastic bead, LegoTm, plastic triangle toy, and barrette). Identification of objects that were not present, false-positives, occurred 1-2 times per radiologist(mean 1.4). With the goal of accelerating the design and discovery of metal–organic frameworks(mOFs)for electronic,optoelectronic,and energy storage applications,we present a dataset of predicted electronic structure properties for thousands of mOFs carried out using multiple density functional *** to more accurate hybrid functionals,we find that the widely used PBE generalized gradient approximation(GGA)functional severely underpredicts mOF band gaps in a largely systematic manner for semi-conductors and insulators without magnetic ***,an even larger and less predictable disparity in the band gap prediction is present for mOFs with open-shell 3d transition metal *** regards to partial atomic charges,we find that different density functional approximations predict similar charges overall,although hybrid functionals tend to shift electron density away from the metal centers and onto the ligand environments compared to the GGA point of *** more significant differences in partial atomic charges are observed when comparing different charge partitioning *** conclude by using the dataset of computed mOF properties to train machine-learning models that can rapidly predict mOF band gaps for all four density functional approximations considered in this work,paving the way for future high-throughput screening *** encourage exploration and reuse of the theoretical calculations presented in this work,the curated data is made publicly available via an interactive and user-friendly web application on the materials Project.
