Scalability is one of the utmost nonfunctional requirement of server applications,because it maintains an effective performance parallel to the large fluctuating and sometimes unpredictable *** order to achieve scalability,thread pool system(TPS)has been used extensively as a middleware service in server *** size of thread pool is the most significant factor,that affects the overall performance of *** the optimal size of thread pool dynamically on runtime is a challenging *** most widely used and simple method to tackle this problem is to keep the size of thread pool equal to the request rate,i.e.,the frequencyoriented thread pool(FOTP).The FOTPs are the most widely used TPSs in the industry,because of the implementation simplicity,the negligible overhead and the capability to use in any ***,the frequency-based schemes only focused on one aspect of changes in the load,and that is the fluctuations in request *** request rate alone is an imperfect knob to scale thread ***,this paper presents a workload profiling based FOTP,that focuses on request size(service time of request)besides the request rate as a knob to scale thread pool on runtime,because we argue that the combination of both truly represents the load fluctuation in server-side *** evaluated the results of the proposed system against state of the art TPS of Oracle Corporation(by a client-server-based simulator)and concluded that our system outperformed in terms of both;the response times and throughput.

This work presents a new method of data hiding in digital images,in discrete cosine transform *** proposed method uses the least significant bits of the medium frequency components of the cover image for hiding the secret information,while the low and high frequency coefficients are kept *** unaltered low frequency DCT coefficients preserves the quality of the smooth region of the cover image,while no changes in the high DCT coefficient preserve the quality of the *** the medium frequency components have less contribution towards energy and image details,so the modification of these coefficients for data hiding results in high quality stego *** distortion due to the changes in the medium frequency coefficients is insignificant to be detected by the human visual *** proposed methods demonstrated a hiding capacity of 43:11%with the stego image quality of a peak signal to the noise ration of 36:3 dB,which is significantly higher than the threshold of 30 dB for a stego image *** proposed technique is immune to steganalysis and has proved to be highly secured against both spatial and DCT domain steganalysis techniques.

For BCI systems,it is important to have an accurate and less complex architecture to control a device with enhanced *** this paper,a novel methodology for more accurate detection of the hemodynamic response has been developed using a multimodal brain-computer interface(BCI).An integrated classifier has been developed for achieving better classification accuracy using two *** integrated EEG-fNIRS-based vector-phase analysis(VPA)has been *** open-source dataset collected at the TechnischeUniversit鋞Berlin,including simultaneous electroencephalography(EEG)and functional near-infrared spectroscopy(fNIRS)signals of 26 healthy participants during n-back tests,has been used for this *** and physiological noise removal has been done using preprocessing techniques followed by individually detecting activity in both *** resting state threshold circle,VPA has been used to detect a hemodynamic response in fNIRS signals,whereas phase plots for EEG signals have been constructed using Hilbert Transform to detect the activity in each *** threshold circles are drawn in the vector plane,where each circle is drawn after task completion in each trial of EEG ***,both processes are integrated into one vector-phase plot to get combined detection of hemodynamic response for *** of this study illustrate that the combined EEG-fNIRS VPA yields considerably higher average classification accuracy,that is 91.35%,as compared to other classifiers such as support vector machine(SVm),convolutional neural networks(CNN),deep neural networks(DNN)and VPA(with dual-threshold circles)with classification accuracies 82%,89%,87%and 86%*** of this research demonstrate that improved classification performance can be feasibly achieved using multimodal VPA for EEG-fNIRS hybrid data.

Smart and interconnected devices can generate meaningful patient data and exchange it automatically without any human intervention in order to realize the Internet of Things(IoT)in healthcare(HIoT).Due to more and more online security and data hijacking attacks,the confidentiality,integrity and availability of data are considered serious issues in HIoT *** this regard,lightweight block ciphers(LBCs)are promising in resourceconstrained environment where security is the primary *** prevalent challenge while designing an LBC for the HIoT environment is how to ascertain platform performance,cost,and *** of the existing LBCs primarily focus on text data or grayscale *** main focus of this paper is about securing color images in a cost-effective *** emphasis high confidentiality of color images captured by cameras in resource-constrained smartphones,and high confidentiality of sensitive images transmitted by low-power sensors in IoT *** order to reduce computational complexity and simulation time,the proposed Lightweight Symmetric Block Cipher(LSBC)exploits chaos-based confusion-diffusion operations at the inter-block level using a single *** strength of LSBC is assessed by cryptanalysis,while it is ranked by comparing it to other privacy-preserving *** results show that the proposed cipher produces promising results in terms of key sensitivity and differential attacks,which proves that our LSBC is a good candidate for image security in HIoT.

Text Summarization is an essential area in text mining,which has procedures for text *** natural language processing,text summarization maps the documents to a representative set of descriptive ***,the objective of text extraction is to attain reduced expressive contents from the text *** summarization has two main areas such as abstractive,and extractive *** text summarization has further two approaches,in which the first approach applies the sentence score algorithm,and the second approach follows the word embedding *** such text extractions have limitations in providing the basic theme of the underlying *** this paper,we have employed text summarization by TF-IDF with PageRank keywords,sentence score algorithm,and Word2Vec word *** study compared these forms of the text summarizations with the actual text,by calculating cosine ***,TF-IDF based PageRank keywords are extracted from the other two extractive *** intersection over these three types of TD-IDF keywords to generate the more representative set of keywords for each text document is *** technique generates variable-length keywords as per document diversity instead of selecting fixedlength keywords for each *** form of abstractive summarization improves metadata similarity to the original text compared to all other forms of summarized *** also solves the issue of deciding the number of representative keywords for a specific text *** evaluate the technique,the study used a sample of more than eighteen hundred text *** abstractive summarization follows the principles of deep learning to create uniform similarity of extracted words with actual text and all other forms of text *** proposed technique provides a stable measure of similarity as compared to existing forms of text summarization.

The Learning management system(LmS)is now being used for uploading educational content in both distance and blended *** platform has two types of users:the educators who upload the content,and the students who have to access the *** students,usually rely on text notes or books and video tutorials while their exams are conducted with formal *** assessments and examination criteria are ineffective with restricted learning space which makes the student tend only to read the educational contents and videos instead of interactive *** aim is to design an interactive LmS and examination video-based interface to cater the issues of educators and *** is designed according to Human-computer interaction(HCI)principles to make the interactive User interface(UI)through User experience(UX).The interactive lectures in the form of annotated videos increase user engagement and improve the self-study context of users involved in *** interface design defines how the design will interact with users and how the interface exchanges *** findings show that interactive videos for LmS allow the users to have a more personalized learning experience by engaging in the educational *** result shows a highly personalized learning experience due to the interactive video and quiz within the video.

The present paper aims at introducing and investigating a new class of generalized double zeta function i.e. modified double zeta function which involves the Riemann, Hurwitz, Hurwitz-Lerch, Barnes double zeta function and Bin-Saad generalized double zeta function as particular cases. The results are obtained by suitably applying Riemann-Liouville type and Tremblay fractional integral and differential operators. We derive the expansion formula for the proposed function with some of its properties via fractional operators and discuss the link with known results.

In this paper, we describe a study of charged particle yield as a function of pTfor K*（892）0and ?（1020） mesons in proton–proton（pp） and Pb–Pb collisions at ■=?2.76 Te V in the central rapidity region of |y|mportant ratio,the nuclear modification factor, to study the effects of the medium in the most central region, i.e.0%–5% centrality. For data simulation, we used the EPOS-LHC and EPOS-1.99 models. To check the validity of these models' simulations, we compared the data obtained from these monte Carlo simulation programs with ALICE experimental data for ■=?2.76 Te V. It was concluded that the models' predictions for the ?-meson in pp and for the most central Pb-Pb collisions disagreed with the ALICE data, and that the difference increased with pT. This may be connected with the essential role of collective parton behaviors which could not have been taken into account by the models. For K*0mesons, both programs gave almost the same predictions,and with pTin the interval pT?>?3 Ge V c-1, the predictions were very close to the experimental data. Both models gave higher predictions for the soft pTinterval and lower predictions for the hard interactions. The values of the RAAdistributions were lower than unity and both models were very close to the ALICE data. It is very interesting that the models were not able to describe the pTdistributions, but they gave good predictions for their ratios. This may possibly be due to parton collective behaviors. We observed some additional suppression of K*0at low values of pT with respect to f-mesons, which may be related to the role of the masses of the particles in soft interactions. The rising trend for RAAin the region from pT=?10 Ge V c-1to 20 Ge V c-1observed by the ALICE experiment was absent for the f-mesons.
