We theoretically study the charge order and orbital m..netic properties of a new type of antiferrom..netic kagom..m..al *** on first-principles density functional theory calculations,we study the electronic structures,Ferm..surface quantum..luctuations,as well as phonon properties of the antiferrom..netic kagom..m..al *** is found that charge density wave em..ges in such a system..ue to a subtle cooperation between electron-electron interactions and electron–phonon couplings,which gives rise to an unusual scenario of interaction-triggered phonon instabilities,and eventually yields a charge density wave(CDW)*** further show that,in the CDW phase,the ground-state current density distribution exhibits an intriguing star-of-David pattern,leading to flux density *** orbital fluxes(or current loops)in this system..m..ge as a result of the subtle interplay between m..netism..attice geom..ries,charge order,and spin-orbit coupling(SOC),which can be described by a sim..e,yet universal,tight-binding theory including a Kane-m..e-type SOC term..nd a m..netic exchange *** further study the origin of the peculiar step-edge states in FeGe,which sheds light on the topological properties and correlation effects in this new type of kagom..antiferrom..netic m..erial.

Does the Redshift Distribution of Swift Long GRBs Trace the Star-Form..ion Rate?

Gam..-ray bursts (GRBs) are extrem..y powerful explosions that have been traditionally classified into two categories: long bursts (LGRBs) with an observed duration T90 > 2 s, and short bursts (SGRBs) with an observed duration T90 T90 is the tim..interval during which 90% of the fluence is detected. LGRBs are believed to em..ate from..he core-collapse of m..sive stars, while SGRBs are believed to result from..he m..ging of two com..ct objects, like two neutron stars. Because LGRBs are produced by the violent death of m..sive stars, we expect that their redshift distribution should trace the star-form..ion rate (SFR). The purpose of our study is to investigate the extent to which the redshift distribution of LGRBs follows and reflects the SFR. We use a sam..e of 370 LGRBs taken from..he Swift catalog, and we investigate different m..els for the LGRB redshift distribution. We also carry out m..te Carlo sim..ations to check the consistency of our results. Our results indicate that the SFR can describe the LGRB redshift distribution well for high redshift bursts, but it needs an evolution term..o fit the distribution well at low redshift.
