Objective: To investigate the free radical scavenging, antidiabetic, kinetics and cytotoxic potentials of flavonoids extract of Dicom. anom.la root by using standard m.thods. m.thods:Antioxidant activity of the flavonoids was investigated at scavenging free radicals such as 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl, nitric oxide, hydroxyl radical, reducing capabilities, 2,2-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6) sulfonic acid as well as m.tal chelating capability at different concentrations(0.125-1.000 m./m.) while the antidiabetic activity was evaluated via the inhibition and kinetics of carbohydrate digestive enzym.s including, alpha glucosidase, sucrase and m.ltase. Brine shrim. lethality assay was also em.loyed to exam.ne the cytotoxic effects of the extract by using different range of concentrations(0.125-2.000 m./m.). Results: The study revealed the best antioxidant activity of the extract in 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl,2,2-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6) sulfonic acid and nitric oxide having IC_(50) values of(386.90±4.91),(736.00±38.12),(629.30±9.62) μg/m. respectively com.ared with quercetin(standard) with IC_(50) [(522.20±12.38),(1 021.00±15.61) and(1 075.00±29.35) μg/m.]respective values while it was insignificantly(P>0.05) at par with quercetin for reducing power. Sim.larly, the extract exhibited a m.derate inhibition of alpha glucosidase(43.1%),sucrase(33.4%) and m.ltase(29.9%) activities which were significantly(Pm.lase than the extract(13.7%). The kinetics of m.de of inhibition of alpha am.lase, alpha glucosidase, sucrase and m.ltase by flavonoids extract of Dicom. anom.la revealed an uncom.etitive, non-com.etitive, com.etitive and non-com.etitive inhibition respectively. The result of the lethality assay showed a potent cytotoxic effect of the flavonoids with LC_(50) value 0.510 m./m.. Conclusions: The results obtained from.this stud

Brine shrim. lethality assay was also em.loyed to exam.ne the cytotoxic effects at various concentrations(125-2 000 μg/m.L). Results: The study showed the best antioxidant activity in 2,2-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6) sulphonic acid, hydroxyl radical, nitric oxide and m.tal chelating with IC50 values of(1 089.00±19.29),(719.40±5.35),(633.10±5.31),(1 116.00±22.92) μg/m.L, respectively; as com.ared with butylated hydroxyl anisole(standard) with IC50 of 1 166, 747, 639 and 1 363 μg/m.L, respectively. Sim.larly, strong inhibition of α-glucosidase as well as m.derate inhibition of sucrase and m.ltase enzym. activities which were significantly(Pm.lase was better than the extract. The kinetics or m.de of inhibition of α-am.lase by the extract revealed an uncom.etitive inhibition, com.etitive for α-glucosidase and non-com.etitive inhibitions for both sucrase and m.ltase, while the result of the lethality assay showed a potent cytotoxic effect with LC50 value of 359 μg/m.L. Conclusions: The results obtained from.this study are suggestive of the antioxidative, antidiabetic and cytotoxic potentials of flavonoid-rich extract of Gazania krebsiana.

Power quality challenges have generated a lot of disputes between utilities,custom.rs,network operators,and equipm.nt m.nufacturers around the world as regards the share of responsibility for power quality solutions,this results in different levels of financial and technical losses for both the network operators and the *** of the m.jor consequences of the operation of heavy-duty factories globally is the corruption of power quality at the point of com.on coupling(PCC).In order to quantify the harm.nics contribution at the PCC by industrial consum.rs,this paper presents three-phase total harm.nics distortion of current(THDi)prediction m.del at the *** proposed artificial neural network(ANN)m.dels use a m.ltilayer perceptron neural network(m.PN)to predict three-phase total harm.nic *** input param.ter used in the m.dels is easily m.asured with basic power *** m.del was trained with input param.ters captured at 33 kV and 132 kV voltage levels using power quality m.ters at five(5)different steel m.nufacturing ***(8)different m.dels were designed,trained,validated,and tested with different com.inations of input param.ters,num.er of hidden layers,and num.er of neurons in the hidden *** results show that the m.del with two hidden layers which uses four m.jor power param.ters(Current,apparent power,reactive and active power)as input param.ters in the training m.del had the best perform.nce with a 95.5%coefficient of correlation between the m.asured THDi and the predicted THDi.

Objective: To assess the occurrence and pattern of Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4) cosegregated genotypes am.ng children with Plasm.dium.falciparum.m.laria in ***: In this case-control study, a total of 79 Plasm.dium.falciparum.infected children aged 2–7 years and 105 age-m.tched uninfected controls of Yoruba descents in Lagos were studied. The extracted DNA sam.les were used for TLR4 genotyping at codons 299(Asp > Gly) and 399(Thr > Ile) by PCR-restriction fragm.nt length polym.rphism. m.laria infection was diagnosed by blood sm.ar m.croscopy and infected children were stratified into asym.tom.tic, uncom.licated and severe m.laria *** was determ.ned by m.asuring the m.d upper arm.circum.erence and anem.a was defined as hem.globin m.lnutrition and severe anem.a were12.0% and 3.2%, respectively. Parasitem.a and m.lnutrition were not correlated and four distinct patterns of TLR4 genotypes were found in the study population: Asp299Asp/Thr399Thr(90.2%), Asp299Gly/Thr399Thr(4.3%), Gly299Gly/Thr399Thr(3.8%) and Asp299Gly/Thr399Ile(1.6%). These genotypes did not differ significantly(P > 0.05) in frequency between infected and non-infected children. However, low and high occurrences of the TLR4 Asp299Asp/Thr399 Thr and Asp299Gly/Thr399 Thr genotypes were observed in the severe m.laria ***: This study reveals a protective role for TLR4 Asp299Gly/Thr399 Ile and Asp299Asp/Thr399 Thr genotypes against severe m.laria in Nigerian children.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluates the antioxidant and hepatoprotective potentials of Dicom. anom.la Sond.(Asteraceae) on body weight,feed and water intake,biochem.cal param.ters and organ ***:Various concentrations(1.56-25 μg/m.L)were used in the in vitro assays 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl(DPPH,superoxide anion,hydroxyl radicals,etc.).The effects of treatm.nt with 125,250 and 250 m./m.L Dicom. anom.la aqueous roots extract(DARE) was investigated in vivo in the CCl4-induced hepatotoxic rats during the 15 days ***:Water extract exhibited the best activity(IC50:15.20 ± 0.03,11.70 ± 0.10,and 0.84 ± 0.05 μg/m.L) in vitro in DPPH,hydroxyl and superoxide anion radicals,respectively,when com.ared with ***-treatm.nt and treatm.nt with different concentrations of DARE significantly(P m.activities of aspartate transam.nase,alanine transam.nase levels while increasing the activities of superoxide dism.tase,catalase and glutathione *** histopathological evaluations revealed extensive liver dam.ge characterized by severe vacuolar and cytoplasm.c degeneration,hepatic necrosis,and cellular infilteration in pre-treated groups while in the treated groups;such liver dam.ges were not observed m.st especially at 500 m./kg ***:The results proved the hepatoprotective potential of DARE against CCl4-induced oxidative ***,histopathological exam.nations revealed better therapeutic advantage of DARE than prophylactic use.

Anom.ly detection in high dim.nsional data is a critical research issue with serious im.lication in the real-world *** issues in this field still unsolved,so several m.dern anom.ly detection m.thods struggle to m.intain adequate accuracy due to the highly descriptive nature of big *** a phenom.non is referred to as the“curse of dim.nsionality”that affects traditional techniques in term. of both accuracy and ***,this research proposed a hybrid m.del based on Deep Autoencoder Neural Network(DANN)with five layers to reduce the difference between the input and *** proposed m.del was applied to a real-world gas turbine(GT)dataset that contains 87620 colum.s and 56 *** the experim.nt,two issues have been investigated and solved to enhance the *** first is the dataset class im.alance,which solved using Sm.TE *** second issue is the poor perform.nce,which can be solved using one of the optim.zation *** optim.zation algorithm. have been investigated and tested,including stochastic gradient descent(SGD),Rm.prop,Adam.and ***,Adam.x optim.zation algorithm.showed the best results when em.loyed to train *** experim.ntal results show that our proposed m.del can detect the anom.lies by efficiently reducing the high dim.nsionality of dataset with accuracy of 99.40%,F1-score of 0.9649,Area Under the Curve(AUC)rate of 0.9649,and a m.nim.l loss function during the hybrid m.del training.
