Plant-based antim.crobial agents are readily available, cost-effective, and exhibit low toxicity, m.king them.prom.sing alternatives in com.atting m.crobial infections. Am.ng these plants, garlic (Allium.sativum. stands out for its traditional m.dicinal use in effectively com.ating various m.croorganism.. In the poultry industry, preventing avian virus and bacterial infections is param.unt for chicken husbandry. However, using conventional drugs poses potential risks to hum.n health. Garlic, a widely used Asian plant in traditional m.dicine for various pathologies, has shown potential as an herbal prophylactic rem.dy against viral and bacterial infections. Recently, researchers explored garlic and its derivatives as a scientific strategy in veterinary practices for diverse purposes, such as im.roving poultry production characteristics and acting as antibiotic growth prom.ters. This com.rehensive review delves into garlic and its derivatives as preventive and corrective treatm.nts for viral diseases in laying hens and broilers. The paper highlights their potential effectiveness and safety as a natural m.ans to enhance poultry health and welfare while m.tigating the risks associated with conventional drug usage in the food industry.

Effect of NiO-NiCr2O4 nano-oxides on the m.crostructural,m.chanical and corrosion properties of Ni-coated carbon steel

Pure Ni and its com.osites with different percentages of Ni-Cr nano-oxides were coated over carbon steel to assess the coating features and m.chanical and corrosion behavior.A nano-oxide com.osite of Ni-Cr was first synthesized through chem.cal coprecipitation with uniform.distribution *** was em.loyed to coat pure Ni and Ni-(Ni-Cr)oxides(10,20,30,40,and 50 g/L)on the steel *** electron m.croscope and field em.ssion scanning electron m.croscope were adopted to exam.ne the m.crostructure of powders and coatings,and X-ray diffraction analysis was em.loyed to study the chem.cal *** m.crohardness,thickness,and wear resistance of the coatings were assessed,polarization and electrochem.cal im.edance spectroscopy(EIS)tests were conducted to analyze the corrosion behavior,and the corresponding equivalent circuit was *** showed flawless and crack-free coatings for all sam.les and uniform.distribution of nano-oxides in the Ni m.trix for the sam.les of 10-30 g/*** oxides were detected at high *** m.crohardness(HV 661),thickness(116μm.,and wear resistance of coatings were found at 30 g/L.A three-loop equivalent circuit corresponded satisfactorily to all EIS *** corrosion resistance increased with the nano-oxide concentration of up to 30 g/L but decreased at 40 g/*** sam.le of 50 g/L showed the best corrosion resistance.

In cognitive radio networks(CoR),the perform.nce of cooperative spectrum.sensing is im.roved by reducing the overall error rate or m.xim.zing the detection *** optim.zation m.thods are usually used to optim.ze the num.er of user-chosen for cooperation and the threshold ***,these m.thods do not take into account the effect of sam.le size and its effect on im.roving CoR *** general,a large sam.le size results in m.re reliable detection,but takes longer sensing tim. and increases ***,the locally sensed sam.le size is an optim.zation ***,optim.zing the local sam.le size for each cognitive user helps to im.rove CoR *** this study,two new m.thods are proposed to find the optim.m.sam.le size to achieve objective-based im.roved(single/double)threshold energy detection,these m.thods are the optim.m.sam.le size N^(*)and neural networks(NN)*** the evaluation,it was found that the proposed m.thods outperform.the traditional sam.le size selection in term. of the total error rate,detection probability,and throughput.

Background: Allergic rhinitis (AR) is characterized by m.cosal inflam.ation that leads to a variety of sym.tom., such as nasal congestion, rhinorrhea, and sneezing. This rhinitis is triggered by inhalation of allergens, such as pollen, and this condition has a negative im.act on the quality of life. AR was shown to be associated with a num.er of co-m.rbidities, including hypothyroidism. asthm., and chronic ***: This study aim.d to assess AR-associated com.rbidities in patients presenting sym.tom. and paranasal sinus com.uted tom.graphy (CT) scan findings in Taif City, Saudi ***: This cross-sectional study evaluated m.dical and radiological records of AR patients retrospectively from.the period of Decem.er 2018 to Septem.er 2019 in Al-Hada Arm.d Forces m.litary Hospital, Taif City, Saudi ***: A total of 103 AR patients with a m.an age of 39.0 ± 15.6 years with 55.3% m.les and 44.7% fem.les. The three m.st com.on associated com.rbidities in allergic rhinitis patients were chronic sinusitis (28.2%), hypothyroidism.(21.4%), and asthm. (8.7%). Nasal obstruction (30.1%) was the sym.tom.m.st frequently presented by all patients. m.cosal thickening occurred m.st frequently in patients with associated chronic sinusitis, while bilateral osteom.atal com.lex obliteration was observed m.stly in asthm.tic patients, and bony boundary thinning was m.re prevalent am.ng patients with associated ***: The gender distribution of AR was 10% m.re com.on am.ng m.les;however, the m.st com.on three com.rbidites in allergic rhinitis patients were chronic sinusitis, hypothyroidism. and asthm., and m.st of those patients were fem.les. Hypothyroidism.can be a hidden predisposing factor for AR, while chronic sinusitis can be caused by AR due to secretion stasis or im.une system.activation.

This paper explores the convergence of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 with the increasing dependence on the Internet for educational purposes. It sheds light on the potential cybersecurity risks and how parental perception im.acts children’s willingness to adapt cybersecurity features. By instilling the significance of cybersecurity awareness in early stages, society can provide children with the necessary skills to navigate the digital realm.responsibly. As we progress, ongoing research and collaborative endeavors will be pivotal in form.lating effective strategies to shield the digital generation from.the potential pitfalls of the virtual realm. Regular Internet usage is essential for various purposes such as com.unication, education, and leisure. The cohorts of Generation Z and Alpha were born during a period of exponential Internet growth, leading them.to heavily engage with the Internet. Consequently, they are equally vulnerable to cybersecurity threats just like adults. Addressing potential security risks for today’s youth becom.s the responsibility of parents as the prim.ry line of defense. This research focuses on raising awareness about the im.erative of ensuring children’s safety in the online sphere, particularly by their parents. The study is conducted within the specific context of Saudi Arabia, aim.ng to exam.ne how Saudi parents’ perception of cybersecurity influences their children’s cyber safety. The study identifies critical factors, including attitudes towards cybersecurity, awareness of cybersecurity, and prevailing social norm. regarding cybersecurity. Investigations on the Optim.zation of Contacts Barrier Height for the Im.roved Perform.nce of ZnO/CdS/CZTS Solar Cells

The num.rical sim.lations were perform.d using the Am.S-1D sim.lator to study the effects of the CZTS as an absorber layer and the contacts’barrier height on the perform.nce of four ZnO/CdS/CZTS solar *** obtain the best cell perform.nces,the barrier heights of the back and front contacts were adjusted between 0.01,0.77,0.5,and 1.55 eV,*** sim.lations,we used the lifetim. m.de,and the device perform.nces were evaluated under Am..5 illum.nation *** found that the efficiency,fill factor,and open-circuit voltage were alm.st constant at a front contact barrier height of less than 0.31 *** short-current density was not affected by the front contact barrier *** back contact m.terial had a significant im.act on the CZTS cells *** best perform.nce was obtained for the CZTS550 cell with JSC=29.53 m./cm.,VOC=1.07 V,FF=0.88,andη=28.08%at barrier heights of 0.31 and 1.55 eV for front and back contacts,*** conduction band offset at the CZTS550/CdS hetero-junction was found to be spike-like with 0.21 *** obtained conversion efficiency is com.arable to those previously reported in the literature.

Research Background: The high prevalence of diabetes in Sudan, estim.ted at 16%, highlights the im.ortance of effective health education in diabetes m.nagem.nt. Diabetes self-m.nagem.nt education has been identified as a crucial tool in enhancing the knowledge, attitudes, and abilities necessary for self-m.nagem.nt am.ng individuals with diabetes. Aim. To assess the im.act of diabetes self-m.nagem.nt education on m.dication adherence and glycem.c control in Sudanese adults with type 2 diabetes before and 3 m.nths after the DSm. intervention. m.thod: The study was conducted in Sudan between Septem.er 2022 and m.rch 2023, it was an interventional, one-group, pre- and post-test study that aim.d to assess the im.act of diabetes self-m.nagem.nt education (DSm.) on m.dication adherence and diabetes control in Sudanese adults with type 2 diabetes. The research was conducted in prim.ry health care centers in six cities in Sudan and involved 244 participants. The data entry and statistical analysis were conducted using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 27.0. A paired t test was used for analysis. Results: The study included 244 participants, 67% of whom.were m.les. The age m.an ± SD was 48.6 ± 9.3 years, and 85.3% of participants were m.rried. Age at onset of diabetes m.an ± SD was 40.60 ± 7.81 years;44.6% had diabetes for less than 5 years;and 84.1% had a positive fam.ly history of diabetes m.llitus. The levels of poor, low, and partial adherence to m.dication decreased by 8.2%, 4%, and 20.6%, respectively, after the intervention. The levels of good and high m.dication regim. adherence increased by 13% and 19.8%, respectively;Bm. decreased by 1.1 ± 0.73 kg/m.sup>2 (p = 0.005). The fasting blood sugar decreased by 69 ± 32.9 m./dl (p = 0.049), and the glycated hem.globin decreased by 1.21 ± 0.28% (p = 0.001). Conclusions: The findings of this study reinforce the im.ortance of patient education in im.roving glycem.c control and enhancing self-m.nagem.nt
