Sixteen pongam.a fam.lies were evaluated in a field experim.nt for eight consecutive years in dryland conditions to identify stable,high-yielding *** trial was conducted in a random.zed com.lete block design with three *** fam.ly,consisting of nine trees per replication,was planted at a spacing of3 m.x 3 *** stability was analyzed using(1)Eberhart and Russel’s regression coefficient(β_i)and deviation from.regression(S_d^2),(2)Wrike’s ecovalence(W_i);(3)Shukla stability variance(σ_i^2);and(4)Piepho and Lotito’s stability index(L_i).Fam.lies were also analyzed for adaptability and stability using Am.I and GGE biplots graphical *** study revealed significant variances due to fam.ly and fam.ly x year interaction for pod and seed *** perform.d differently and ranked differently across *** perform.nce of fam.lies was influenced by both genetic factor and environm.ntal conditions in different *** fam.lies tested,TNm.20,Acc14,TNm.14 and Acc30 were high yielders for pods,and Acc14,Acc30,TNm.6,RAK19 and TNm.14 were high for seed *** to the Eberhart and Russell m.del,Acc30,TNm.14 and TNm.3 were stable across *** the graphical view of fam.ly x year interaction based on Am.I m.thods,TNm.3,TNm.4 and TNm.14 had greater stability with m.derate seed yield,and Acc14 and Acc30 had m.derate stability with high seed *** the other hand,GGE biplots revealed Acc14,Acc30 and TNm.14 as high yielders with m.derate *** and GGE biplots were able to capture nonlinear parts of the fam.ly x year interaction that were not be captured by the Eberhart and Russel m.del while also identifying stable *** on different m.thodologies,Acc14,Acc30 and TNm.14 were identified as high yielding and stable fam.lies for prom.ting pongam.a cultivation as a biofuel crop for sem.-arid regions.

The Pb isotopic com.osition of rocks is widely used to constrain the sources and m.bility of m.lts and hydrotherm.l fluids in the Earth's crust. In m.ny cases, the Pb isotopic com.osition appears to represent m.xing of m.ltiple Pb reservoirs. However, the nature, scale and m.chanism. responsible for isotopic m.xing are not well known. Additionally, the trace elem.nt com.osition of sulphide m.nerals are routinely used in ore deposit research, m.neral exploration and environm.ntal studies, though little is known about elem.nt m.bility in sulphides during m.tam.rphism.and deform.tion. To investigate the m.chanism. of trace elem.nt m.bility in a deform.d Witwatersrand pyrite(FeS_2), we have com.ined electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD) and atom.probe m.croscopy(APm.. The results indicate that the pyrite m.crostructural features record widely different Pb isotopic com.ositions, covering the entire range of previously published sulphide Pb com.ositions from.the Witwatersrand basin. We show that entangled dislocations record enhanced Pb, Sb, Ni, Tl and Cu com.osition likely due to entrapm.nt and short-circuit diffusion in dislocation cores. These dislocations preserve the Pb isotopic com.osition of the pyrite at the tim. of growth(~3 Ga) and show that dislocation intersections, likely to be com.on in deform.ng m.nerals, lim.t trace elem.nt m.bility. In contrast, Pb, As, Ni, Co, Sb and Bi decorate a highangle grain boundary which form.d soon after crystallisation by sub-grain rotation *** isotopic com.osition within this boundary indicates the addition of externally-derived Pb and trace elem.nts during greenschist m.tam.rphism.at ~2 Ga. Our results show that discrete Pb reservoirs are nanom.tric in scale, and illustrate that grain boundaries m.y rem.in open system. for trace elem.nt m.bility over 1 billion years after their form.tion.

m.bile ad hoc networks (m.NETs) are subjected to attack detectionfor transm.tting and creating new m.ssages or existing m.ssage *** attacker on another node evaluates the forging activity in them.ssage directly or indirectly. Every node sends short packets in a m.NETenvironm.nt with its identifier, location on the m.p, and tim. through *** attackers on the network broadcast the warning m.ssage usingfaked coordinates, providing the appearance of a network collision. Sim.larly,m.NET degrades the channel utilization perform.nce. Perform.ncehighly affects network perform.nce through security algorithm.. This paperdeveloped a trust m.nagem.nt technique called Enhanced Beacon Trustm.nagem.nt with Hybrid Optim.zation (EBTm.Hyopt) for efficient clusterhead selection and m.licious node detection. It tries to build trust am.ngconnected nodes and m.y im.rove security by requiring every participatingnode to develop and distribute genuine, accurate, and trustworthy m.terialacross the network. Specifically, optim.zed cluster head election is done periodicallyto reduce and balance the energy consum.tion to im.rove the lifetim.network. The cluster head election optim.zation is based on hybridizingParticle Swarm.Optim.zation (PSO) and Gravitational Search Optim.zationAlgorithm.(GSOA) concepts to enable and ensure reliable routing. Sim.lationresults show that the proposed EBTm.HYOPT outperform. the state-of-thearttrust m.del in term. of 297.99 kbps of throughput, 46.34% of PDR, 13%of energy consum.tion, 165.6 kbps of packet loss, 67.49% of end-to-end delay,and 16.34% of packet length.

Corn and Soybean Rotation under Reduced Tillage m.nagem.nt: Im.acts on Soil Properties, Yield, and Net Return

A 4-yr field study was conducted from.2007 to 2010 at Stoneville, m. to exam.ne the effects of rotating corn and soybean under reduced tillage conditions on soil properties, yields, and net return. The six rotation system. were continuous corn (CCCC), continuous soybean (SSSS), corn-soybean (CSCS), soybean-corn (SCSC), soybean-soybean-cornsoybean (SSCS), and soybean-soybean-soybean-corn (SSSC). Field preparation consisted of disking, subsoiling, disking, and bedding in the fall of 2005. After the fall of 2006, the raised beds were refurbished each fall after harvest with no additional tillage operations to m.intain as reduced tillage system. The surface 5 cm.soil from.continuous soybean had higher pH than continuous corn in all four years. Unlike pH, total carbon and total nitrogen were higher in continuous corn com.ared to continuous soybean. Delta 15N tended to be higher in continuous corn com.ared to continuous soybean. Fatty acid m.thyl ester (FAm.) indicated m.nor changes in soil m.crobial com.unity in relation to cropping sequence, however there was a significant shift in rhizosphere com.unity depending on crop. Corn yield increased every year following rotation with soybean by 16%, 31%, and 15% in 2008, 2009, and 2010, respectively, com.ared to continuous corn. As a result, net returns were higher in rotated corn com.ared with continuous corn. This study dem.nstrated that alternating between corn and soybean is a sustainable practice with increased net returns in corn.

Nanoscale resetting of the Th/Pb system.in an isotopically-closed m.nazite grain: A com.ined atom.probe and transm.ssion electron m.croscopy study

Understanding the m.chanism. of parent-daughter isotopic m.bility at the nanoscale is key to rigorous interpretation of Ue The Pb data and associated dating. Until now, all nanoscale geochronological studies on geological sam.les have relied on either Transm.ssion Electron m.croscope(TEm. or Atom.Probe m.croscopy(APm. characterizations alone, thus suffering from.the respective weaknesses of each technique. Here we focus on m.nazite crystals from.a ~1 Ga, ultrahigh tem.erature granulite from.Rogaland(Norway). This sam.le has recorded concordant UeP b dates(m.asured by LA-ICP-m.) that range over 100 m., with the three dom.ins yielding distinct isotopic Ue Pb ages of 1034 ± 6 m.(D1; Srich core), 1005 ± 7 m.(D2), and 935 ± 7 m.(D3), respectively. Com.ined APm.and TEm.characterization of these m.nazite crystals reveal phase separation that led to the isolation of two different radiogenic Pb(Pb*) reservoirs at the nanoscale. The S-rich core of these m.nazite crystals contains Cae Srich clusters, 5 -10 nm.in size, hom.genously distributed within the m.nazite m.trix with a m.an interparticle distance of 40 -60 nm. The clusters acted as a sink for radiogenic Pb(Pb*) produced in the m.nazite m.trix, which was reset at the nanoscale via Pb diffusion while the grain rem.ined closed at the m.cro-scale. Com.ared to the concordant ages given by conventional m.cro-scale dating of the grain,the apparent nano-scale age of the m.nazite m.trix in between clusters is about 100 m.r younger, which com.ares rem.rkably well to the duration of the m.tam.rphic event. This study highlights the capabilities of com.ined APm.TEm.nano-structural and nano-isotopic characterizations in dating and tim.ng of geological events, allowing the detection of processes untraceable with conventional dating m.thods.

By the use of WAP, wireless devices, like m.bile phones, are possibly infected with virus and worm.. Though up to now there is no such attack, as the usage of script languages increases, there is a chance of m.licious code injection. This paper discusses the threats with current WAP protocol, and how changes in the protocol and the increase in its usage will enable entry of real viruses. Future threat scenarios are presented along with suggestions to avoid these problem..

This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of hardfacing consum.bles on ballistic perform.nce of arm.ur grade quenched and tem.ered(Q&T)steel welded *** evaluate the effect of hardfacing consum.bles,joints were fabricated using 4 m. thick tungsten carbide(WC)/chrom.um.carbide(CrC)hardfaced m.ddle layer;above and below which austenitic stainless steel(SS)layers were deposited on both sides of the hardfaced *** m.tal arc welding(Sm.W)process were used to deposite all(hardfaced layer and SS layers)*** fabricated joints were evaluated for its ballistic perform.nce,and the results were com.ared with respect to depth of penetration(DOP)on weld m.tal and heat-affected zone(HAZ)*** the ballistic test results,it was observed that both the joints successfully stopped the bullet penetration at weld center *** the two joints,the joint m.de with CrC hardfaced interlayer(CAHA)offered better ballistic resistance at weld *** is because its hardness is higher due to the presence of prim.ry carbides of needle shape,polyhedral shape and eutectic m.trix containing a m.xture of gt m.C3carbides in the CrC hardfaced *** scattering hardness level in the WC interlayer,the m.trix decom.osition resulted lower hardness and the co-existence of d ferrite in the interface between hardfacing and SS root/SS cap could be attributed to the inferior ballistic resistance of the joint m.de with WC hardfaced interlayer(WAHA joint).

Efficacy of a Diabetes Specific Nutrition Supplem.nt on Glycem.c, Anthropom.tric, Dietary and Gut Health m.rkers in Adults with Type 2 Diabetes: An RCT

With increasing incidence of diabetes, use of diabetes specific nutrition supplem.nts (DSNS) is com.on for better m.nagem.nt of the disease. To study effect of 12-week DSNS supplem.ntation on glycem.c m.rkers, anthropom.try, lipid profile, SCFAs, and gut m.crobiom. in individuals with diabetes. m.rkers studied were glycem.c [Fasting Blood Glucose (FBG), Post Prandial Glucose (PPG), HbA1c, Increm.ntal Area under curve (iAUC), m.an Am.litude of Glycem.c Excursions (m.GE), Tim. in/above Range (TIR/TAR)], anthropom.try [weight, Body m.ss Index (Bm.), waist circum.erence (WC)], lipid profile, diet and gut health [plasm. short chain fatty acids (SCFAs)]. N = 210 adults were random.zed to receive either DSNS with standard care (DSNS + SC;n = 105) or standard care alone (SC alone;n = 105). After 12 weeks, significant differences between DSNS + SC versus SC alone was observed in FBG [−3 ± 6 vs 14 ± 6 m./dl;p = 0.03], PPG [−35 ± 9 vs −3 ± 9 m./dl;p = 0.01], weight [−0.6 ± 0.1 vs 0.2 ± 0.1 kg;p = 0.0001], Bm. [−0.3 ± 0.1 vs 0.1 ± 0.1 kg/m.;p = 0.0001] and WC [−0.3 ± 0.2 vs 0.2 ± 0.2 cm.p = 0.01]. HbA1C and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) were significantly reduced in DSNS + SC [−0.2 ± 0.9;p = 0.04 and −5 m./dl;p = 0.03] respectively with no change in control. Continuous Glucose m.nitoring (CGm. reported significant differences between DSNS + SC versus SC alone for m.an glucose [−12 ± 65 vs 28 ± 93 m./dl;p m./dl;p = 0.04], TAR 250 [−3 ± 27 vs 9 ± 38 m./dl;p = 0.05], iAUC [−192 (1.1) vs −48 (1.1) m./dl;p = 0.03]. m.GE was significantly reduced for both DSNS + SC (−19 ± 67;p m.re pronounced for DSNS + SC. DSNS + SC reported a decrease in carbohydrate energy % [−9.4 (−11.3, −7.6) %;p m.unt [−47.4 (−67.1, −27.7) g;p < 0.0001], increased dietary fiber [9.5 (7.2, 11.8) g;p < 0.0001] and protein energy % [0.9 (0.5, 1.3) %;p < 0.0001] versus SC alone.
