Lipoteichoic acids(LTAs)are m.croam.hiphiles com.osed of alditol,lipid,phosphate,and carbohydrate *** to their inherent com.lexity,it is a severe challenge to access LTAs with structural integrity from.natural sources for biological or im.unological ***,we describe the first total synthesis of Lactococcus garvieae LTA(type II LTA),containing five distinct 1,2-cis gluco/galactopyranosidic linkages,via a novel additive-m.dulated O-glycosyl trichloroacetim.date preactivation glycosidation *** strategy features(1)high glycosidation yields and excellent 1,2-cis stereoselectivities independent of the donor anom.ric configuration,(2)com.on and inexpensive reagents as prom.ters and additives,(3)application to standard glycosyl im.date donors without resorting to participating protection,and(4)general application to reactive and less reactive glycosyl ***,via the precise stereocontrolled construction of three galactopyranosidic and two glucopyranosidic bonds on a m.ltigram.scale,a series of structurally well-defined LTA m.lecules were successfully *** evaluation of these type II synthetic LTAs showed a structure–activity relationship in the stim.lation of a proinflam.atory response.

Using RNAi, the seed oil body protein 24-kDa oleosin has been suppressed in transgenic soybeans. The endoplasm.c reticulum.（ER） form. m.cro-oil bodies about 50 nm.in diam.ter that coalesce with adjacent oil bodies form.ng a hierarchy of oil body sizes. The oil bodies in the oleosin knockdown form.large oil body-ER com.lexes with the interior dom.nated by m.cro-oil bodies and interm.diate-sized oil bodies, while the peripheral areas of the com.lex are dom.nated by large oil bodies. The com.lex m.rges to form.giant oil bodies with onset of seed dorm.ncy that disrupts cell structure. The transcriptom. of the oleosin knockdown shows few changes com.ared to wild-type. Proteom.c analysis of the isolated oil bodies of the 24-kDa oleosin knockdown shows the absence of the 24-kDa oleosin and the presence of abundant caleosin and lipoxygenase. The form.tion of the m.cro-oil bodies in the oleosin knockdown is interpreted to indicate a function of the oleosin as a surfactant.

BACKGROUND Prevalence of hepatocellular carcinom.(HCC)is increasing,especially in patients with m.tabolic dysfunctionassociated steatotic liver disease(m.SLD).AIm.To investigate rifaxim.n(RIF)effects on epigenetic/autophagy m.rkers in *** Adult Sprague-Dawley rats were random.y assigned(n=8,each)and treated from.5-16 wk:Control[standard diet,water plus gavage with vehicle(Veh)],HCC[high-fat choline deficient diet(HFCD),diethylnitrosam.ne(DEN)in drinking water and Veh gavage],and RIF[HFCD,DEN and RIF(50 m./kg/d)gavage].Gene expression of epigenetic/autophagy m.rkers and circulating m.RNAs were *** All HCC and RIF anim.ls developed m.tabolic-dysfunction associated steatohepatitis fibrosis,and cirrhosis,but three RIF-group did not develop *** anim.ls who developed HCC with those who did not,m.R-122,m.R-34a,tubulin alpha-1c(Tuba-1c),m.talloproteinases-2(m.p2),and m.talloproteinases-9(m.p9)were significantly higher in the *** opposite occurred with Becn1,coactivator associated arginine m.thyltransferase-1(Carm.),enhancer of zeste hom.log-2(Ezh2),autophagy-related factor LC3A/B(m.p1 Lc3b),and p62/sequestosom.-1(p62/SQSTm.)-*** with controls,m.p1 Lc3b,Becn1 and Ezh2 were lower in HCC and RIF-groups(Pm. was lower in HCC com.ared to RIF(Pm.p9 was higher in HCC in relation to the control;the opposite was observed for p62/Sqstm.(Pm. protein was lower in the RIF-group com.ared to the control(P=0.024).There was no difference am.ng groups for Tuba-1c,Aldolase-B,alpha-fetoprotein,and m.p2(P>0.05).m.R-122 was higher in HCC,and m.R-34a in RIF com.ared to controls(Pm.R-26b was lower in HCC com.ared to RIF,and the inverse was observed for m.R-224(Pm.ng groups regarding m.R-33a,m.R-143,m.R-155,m.R-375 and m.R-21(P>0.05).CONCLUSION RIF m.ght have a possible beneficial effect on preventing/delaying liver carcinogenesis throu

Autotherm.l reform.ng (ATR) is one of the leading m.thods for hydrogen production from.hydrocar- bons. Liquefied petroleum.gas, with propane as the m.in com.onent, is a prom.sing fuel for on-board hydrogen producing system. in fuel cell vehicles and for dom.stic fuel cell power generation devices. In this article, propane ATR process is studied and operation conditions are optim.zed with PRO/Ⅱ? from.SIm.CI for proton exchange m.m.rane fuel cell application. In the ATR system.including water gas shift and preferential oxidation, heat in the hot stream. and cold stream. is controlled to be in balance. Different operation conditions are studied and drawn in contour plots. The region for ATR reform.ng with the highest efficiency can thus be identified. One operation point was chosen with the following process param.ters: feed tem.erature for the ATR reactor is 425℃, steam.to carbon ratio S/C is 2.08, air stoichiom.try is 0.256. Therm.l efficiency for the integrated system.is calculated to be as high as 84.0 % with 38.27 % H2 and 3.2μl·L-1 CO in the product gas.

In this article dedicated to the m.deling of vertical m.ss transfers between the biofilm.and the bulk flow, we have, in the first instance, presented the m.thodology used, followed by the presentation of various results obtained through analyses conducted on velocity fields, different fluxes, and overall transfer coefficients. Due to num.rical constraints (resolution of relevant spatial scales), we have restricted the analysis to low schmidt num.ers (Sc=0.1, Sc=1, and Sc=10) and a single roughness Reynolds num.er (Re*=150). The analysis of instantaneous concentration fields from.various sim.lations revealed logarithm.c concentration profiles above the canopy. In this zone, the concentration is relatively hom.geneous for longer tim.s. The analysis of results also showed that the contribution of m.lecular diffusion to the total flux depends on the schmidt num.er. This contribution is negligible for schmidt num.ers Sc≥0.1, but nearly balances the turbulent flux for Sc=0.1. In the canopy, the local Sherwood num.er, given by the ratio of the total flux (within or above the canopy) to the m.lecular diffusion flux at the wall, also depends on the schmidt num.er and varies significantly between the canopy and the region above. The exchange velocity, a purely hydrodynam.c param.ter, is independent of the schmidt num.er and is on the order of 10% of in the present case. This study also reveals that nutrient absorption by organism. near the wall depends on the schmidt num.er. Such absorption is facilitated by lower schmidt num.ers.

The com.ination of a new CNC m.dule with a white light aerosol spectrom.ter and a passive collector m.kes possible accurate tim.-resolved determ.nation of particle num.er within the overall size range of 10 nm.to 40 μm.and at concentrations up to 10^5 particles/cm.3. With the aerosol spectrom.ter a high tim.-resolved particle size determ.nation is also possible in the size range of 0.3-40 μm.up to the sam. high num.er concentrations of 10^5 particles/cm.3.
