Challenges in the diagnosis and treatm.nt of.Parkinson’s disease:Parkinson’s disease(PD)is an increasingly prevalent neurodegenerative disease,at f.rst sight prim.rily characterized by m.tor sym.tom.,although non-m.tor sym.tom. also constitute a m.jor part of.the overall ***,this disease cannot be diagnosed reliably until a large part of.the vulnerable dopam.nergic neurons has been irretrievably lost,and the disease progresses *** biological criteria f.r PD have been proposed recently and m.ght eventually im.rove early diagnosis,but they require f.rther validation,and their use will initially be restricted to a research environm.nt(Darweesh et al.,2024).

Arbutoid m.corrhizae were synthesized between adult se- lected clones of.Arbutus unedo L. and Pisolithus arhizus. Two m.cro- propagated clones were tested： ALl, in vitro and C1 （acclim.tized plants） in nursery and later in a f.eld trial. In vitro, rooted shoots were trans- f.rred to test tubes containing the substrate previously inoculated with m.celium.cultured on agar. In the nursery, two inoculation treatm.nts were tested （vegetative inocula or dry sporocarps） and com.ared to con- trol plants. In the f.eld trial, plants f.om.nursery inoculation treatm.nts were com.ared and an additional control treatm.nt using seedlings was im.lem.nted. Plant height was evaluated 4 m.nths later in the nursery and 20 m.nths later in the f.eld trial.

AIm. To develop a m.thod of.labeling and m.crodissecting m.use Kupf.er cells within an extraordinarily short period of.tim. using laser capture m.crodissection （LCm.. m.THODS： Tissues are com.lex structures com.rised of.a heterogeneous population of.interconnected cells. LCm.of.ers a m.thod of.isolating a single cell type f.om.specif.c regions of.a tissue section. LCm.is an essential approach used in conjunction with m.lecular analysis to study the f.nctional interaction of.cells in their native tissue environm.nt. The process of.labeling and acquiring cells by LCm.prior to m.NA isolation can be elaborate, thereby subjecting the RNA to considerable degradation. Kupf.er cell labeling is achieved by injecting India ink intravenously, thus circum.enting the need f.r in vitro staining. The signif.cance of.this novel approach was validated using a cholestatic liver injury m.del. RESULTS： m.NA extracted f.om.the m.crodissected cell population displayed m.rked increases in colonystim.lating f.ctor-1 receptor and Kupf.er cell receptor m.ssage expression, which dem.nstrated Kupf.er cell enrichm.nt. Gene expression by Kupf.er ceils derived f.om.bile-duct-ligated, versus sham.operated, m.ce was com.ared. m.croarray analysis revealed a signif.cant （2.5-f.ld, q value 〈 10） change in 493 genes. Based on this f.ld-change and a standardized Pubm.d search, 10 genes were identif.ed that were relevant to the ability of.Kupf.er cells to suppress liver injury. CONCLUSION; The m.thodology outlined herein provides an approach to isolating high quality RNA f.om.Kupf.er cells, without altering the tissue integrity.

We consider stochastic sem.-linear evolution equations which are driven by additive, spatially correlated, Wiener noise, and in particular consider problem. of.heat equation （analytic sem.group） and dam.ed-driven wave equations （bounded sem.group） type. We discretize these equations by m.ans of.a spectral Galerkin projection, and we study the approxim.tion of.the probability distribution of.the trajectories： test f.nctions are regular, but depend on the values of.the process on the interval [0, T]. We introduce a new approach in the context of.quantative weak error analysis f.r discretization of.SPDEs. The weak error is f.rm.lated using a determ.nistic f.nction （It6 m.p） of.the stochastic convolution f.und when the nonlinear term.is dropped. The regularity properties of.the It6 m.p are exploited, and in particular second-order Taylor expansions em.loyed, to transf.r the error f.om.spectral approxim.tion of.the stochastic convolution into the weak error of.interest. We prove that the weak rate of.convergence is twice the strong rate of.convergence in two situations. f.rst, we assum. that the covariance operator com.utes with the generator of.the sem.group： the f.rst order term.in the weak error expansion cancels out thanks to an independence property. Second, we rem.ve the com.uting assum.tion, and extend the previous result, thanks to the analysis of.a new error term.depending on a com.utator.

Crouzon syndrom. is the result of.a gain-of.f.nction point m.tation in f.f.2. m.m.cking the hum.n m.tation, a m.use m.del of.Crouzon syndrom.(f.f.2342Y) recapitulates patient def.rm.ties, including f.iled tracheal cartilage segm.ntation, resulting in a cartilaginous sleeve in the hom.zygous m.tants. We f.und that the f.f.2C342Y/C^342Y m.tants exhibited an increase in chondrocytes prior to segm.ntation. This increase is due at least in part to over prolif.ration. Genetic ablation of.chondrocytes in the m.tant led to restoration of.segm.ntation in the lateral but not central portion of.the trachea. These results suggest that in the f.f.2C342Y/C342Y m.tants, increased cartilage cell prolif.ration precedes and contributes to the disruption of.cartilage segm.ntation in the developing trachea.

Bone m.ss is im.ortant f.r dental im.lant success and is regulated by m.chanoresponsive osteocytes. We aim.d to investigate the relationship between the levels and orientation of.tensile strain and m.rphology and orientation of.osteocytes at dif.erent dental im.lant positions in the m.xillary bone. Bone biopsies were retrieved f.om.eight patients who underwent m.xillary sinus-f.oor elevation with β-tricalcium.phosphate prior to im.lant placem.nt. Gap versus f.ee-ending locations were com.ared using 1) a three-dim.nsional f.nite-elem.nt m.del of.the m.xilla to predict the tensile strain m.gnitude and direction and 2) histology and histom.rphom.tric analyses. The f.nite-elem.nt m.del predicted larger, dif.erently directed tensile strains in the gap versus f.eeending locations. The m.an percentage of.m.neralised residual native-tissue volum., osteocyte num.er(m.an ± standard deviations:97 ± 40/region-of.interest), and osteocyte shape(90% elongated,10% round) were sim.lar f.r both locations. However, the osteocyte surf.ce area was 1.5-tim.s larger in the gap than in the f.ee-ending locations, and the elongated osteocytes in these locations were m.re cranially caudally oriented. In conclusion, signif.cant dif.erences in the osteocyte surf.ce area and orientation seem.to exist locally in the m.xillary bone, which m.y be related to the tensile strain m.gnitude and orientation. This m.ght ref.ect local dif.erences in the osteocyte m.chanosensitivity and bone quality, suggesting dif.erences in dental im.lant success based on the location in the m.xilla.
