Objec.ive:To evaluate the polio laboratory surveillanc. c.rried out from.January,2019 to m.y,2023 by the Polio Regional Referenc. Laboratory,Sri ***:This retrospec.ive study analyzed all stool sam.les rec.ived under the ac.te flac.id paralysis(AFP)and im.unodefic.ent vac.ine-derived poliovirus(VDPV)surveillanc. at Polio Regional Referenc. Laboratory,Sri Lanka from.January,2019 to m.y,*** results of the testing m.thodologies were extrac.ed from.the laboratory data system.i.e.,poliovirus virus isolation,intra-typic.differentiation/VDPV real tim. reverse transc.iptase polym.rase c.ain reac.ion(ITD/VDPV rRTPc.)and sequenc.ng,along with the data on tim.ng of reporting results,stool adequac. and *** was analyzed using desc.iptive ***:A total of 2141 stool sam.les from.1644 c.ses were rec.ived for AFP surveillanc. from.Sri Lanka(93.61%),m.ldives(1.52%),and im.unodefic.ent VDPV(4.86%)*** polioviruses(19/1644,1.15%)and non-polio enteroviruses(73/1644,4.44%)were isolated,while Sabin-like 3 virus was detec.ed in m.jority(12/19,63.15%)am.ng the poliovirus *** polioviruses or c.rc.lating VDPVs were not detec.ed am.ng the *** all years of the study,the non-polio AFP detec.ion rate was>1/100000 in c.ildren aged less than 15 years,whereas stool adequac. rate was>80%.All results were reported within 14 days of rec.ipt,ensuring tim.ly reporting as per global ***:The Polio Regional Referenc. Laboratory,Sri Lanka plays a vital role in m.intaining the polio-free status in the c.untry through its robust laboratory surveillanc.,while adhering to the surveillanc. ***-detec.ion of wild polioviruses and c.rc.lating VDPV during the study period reinforc.s the polio-free status in the c.untry.

Nic.tinam.de adenine dinuc.eotide(NADH)is a c.fac.or that serves to shuttle elec.rons during m.tabolic.proc.sses suc. as glyc.lysis,the tric.rboxylic.ac.d c.c.e,and oxidative phosphorylation(OXPHOS).NADH is autofluoresc.nt,and itsfluoresc.nc. lifetim. c.n be used to infer m.tabolic.dynam.c. in living ***-c.upled tim.-c.rrelated single photon c.unting(Tc.Pc.equipped with an im.lantable needle probe c.n be used to m.asure NADH lifetim. in vivo,enabling investigation of c.anging m.tabolic.dem.nd during m.sc.e c.ntrac.ion or tissue *** study illustrates a proof of c.nc.pt for point-based,m.nim.lly-invasive NADHfluoresc.nc. lifetim. m.asurem.nt in *** m.sc.e loss(Vm.)injuries were c.eated in the left tibialis anterior(TA)m.sc.e of m.le Sprague Dawley *** lifetim. m.asurem.nts were c.llec.ed before,during,and after a 30 s tetanic.c.ntrac.ion in the injured and uninjured TA m.sc.es,whic. was subsequently-t to a biexponential dec.y m.del to yield a m.tric.of NADH utilization(c.toplasm.c.vs protein-bound NADH,the A11/A22 ratio).On average,this ratio was higher during and after c.ntrac.ion in uninjured m.sc.e c.m.ared to m.sc.e at rest,suggesting higher levels of free NADH in c.ntrac.ing and rec.vering m.sc.e,indic.ting inc.eased rates of *** injured m.sc.e,this ratio was higher than uninjured m.sc.e overall but dec.eased over tim.,whic. is c.nsistent with c.rrent knowledge of inflam.atory response to injury,suggesting tissue regeneration has *** data suggest that-ber-c.upled Tc.Pc.has the potential to m.asure c.anges in NADH binding in vivo in a m.nim.lly invasive m.nner that requires further investigation.

c.im.te variability as oc.asioned by c.nditions suc. as extrem. rainfall and tem.erature, rainfall c.ssation, and irregular tem.eratures has c.nsiderable im.ac. on c.op yield and food sec.rity. This study develops a predic.ive m.del for c.ssava yield (m.nihot esc.lenta c.antz) am.dst c.im.te variability in rainfed zone of Enugu State, Nigeria. This study utilized data of c.im.te variables and tonnage of c.ssava yield spanning from.1971 to 2012;as well as inform.tion from.a questionnaire and foc.s group disc.ssion from.farm.rs ac.oss two seasons in 2023 respec.ively. Regression analysis was em.loyed to develop the predic.ive m.del equation for seasonal c.im.te variability and c.ssava yield. The rainfall and tem.erature anom.lies, dec.dal c.ange in trend of c.ssava yield and opinion of farm.rs on c.anges in rainfall season were also c.m.uted in the study. The result shows the following relationship between c.ssava and all the c.im.tic.variables: R2 = 0.939;P = 0.00514;c.ssava and key c.im.tic.variables: R2 = 0.560;P = 0.007. The result im.lies that seasonal rainfall, tem.erature, relative hum.dity, sunshine hours and radiation param.ters are key c.im.tic.variables in c.ssava produc.ion. This is supported by c.m.uted rainfall and tem.erature anom.lies whic. range from.−478.5 to 517.8 m. as well as −1.2˚c.to 2.3˚c.over the years. The questionnaire and foc.s group identified that farm.rs experienc.d at one tim. or another, late onset of rain, early onset of rain or rainfall c.ssation over the years. The farm.rs are not partic.larly sure of rainfall and tem.erature c.arac.eristic. at any point in tim.. The im.lic.tion of the result of this study is that rainfall and tem.erature param.ters determ.ne the farm.ng season and quantity of produc.ivity.
