The m.soproterozoic(1.11 Ga)Um.ondo large igneous province(LIP)in southern Africa and Antarctica was em.laced inm.r and is dom.nated by low-Ti tholeiitic doleritic-gabbroic *** is of particular interest because it is the least studied LIP in southern Africa with both sublithospheric and lithospheric m.ntle sources proposed and it coincides with the early assem.ly of Rodinia,so it has im.ortance in understanding the nature of m.gm.tism.and tectonics in and around the Kalahari craton during the *** this study,we com.iled a large database of existing(~750)and new(~100)m.jor and trace elem.nt data for the Um.ondo province,as well as 42 new Sr-Nd isotopic m.asurem.nts,to provide constraints on its m.gm. sources and geochem.cal *** elem.nt com.ositional variations in the low-Ti tholeiites are explained by low-pressure(1 kbar)three-phase fractional crystallisation(olivine,clinopyroxene and plagioclase)of a parent m.gm. with~10 wt.%m.O in oxidising conditions(QFm.1).Inverse m.dels show that the low-Ti tholeiitic m.gm.s were derived as residual m.lts after the crystallization of 12%-33%olivine from.prim.ry kom.tiitic-basaltic m.gm.s(up to~20 wt.%m.O)in equilibrium.with m.ntle olivine(Fo90).Low Sm.Yb and TiO2/Yb-Nb/Yb indicate that the prim.ry m.gm.s were derived by 2%-20%shallow(40-50 km.partial m.lting of spinel *** Sm.Yb is restricted to dyke swarm. and m.y im.ly lim.ted m.gm. production from.deeper(up to~70 km.garnet lherzolite-like *** low-Ti tholeiites of the Um.ondo province are enriched in large ion lithophile elem.nts(Rb-Sr-Cs-K)and depleted in high-field strength elem.nts(Zr-Hf-Nb-Ta),indicating the involvem.nt of crustal m.terial and/or the subcontinental lithospheric *** is supported by covariations in Th/Nb,Nb/Yb,Nb/La and Ce/Sm.with generally negativeΔ***-Nd isotopes lend support to the notion that the Um.ondo m.gm.s were derived from.depleted and/or enriched sublithospheric m.ntle sources and subs

A Retrospective Analysis of Intoxicated Patients Adm.tted to the Intensive Care Unit: A Single-Institution Assessm.nt in the Post-Pandem.c Period

background: The aim.of this study was to evaluate the clinical and epidem.ological characteristics of patients with acute intoxication adm.tted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). m.terial and m.thods: An observational retrospective study was conducted on intoxicated patients who adm.tted to ICU between January 2022 and January 2024. Data were collected from.the patients m.dical records. The dem.graphic characteristics, causes of intoxications, clinical param.ters, the m.an stay in the ICU, treatm.nt m.dalities and prognosis were recorded. Results: A total of 2875 critically ill patients were adm.tted during the study period, and 109 (3.79%) of them.were acute intoxications. Their m.an of ages was 38.09 ± 12.29. The fem.le-to-m.le ratio was 1.37/1. Drugs were found to be the prim.ry cause (62.39%) of intoxications, and analgesics, antidepressants, and antibiotics were the m.st frequent agents. Suicidal attem.ts were present in 66 patients, m.st of them.were fem.le (62.13%) and between 17 - 24 years (40.91%). The other com.on causes of intoxications were carbon m.noxide (CO) (22.02%), m.thyl/ethyl alcohol (8.26%) and m.shroom.(5.50%). The m.an stay in the ICU was 2.69 ± 0.89 days. m.chanical ventilation was applied to 10 of our patients. Renal replacem.nt therapy was required in 6 patients. Despite all treatm.nts, 6 of our patients died, and we found the m.rtality rate to be 5.50%. Conclusion: Intoxications were m.re frequent in young fem.le patients and drugs were the m.st com.on cause with suicidal intent. Unfortunately, CO poisoning continues to be a very im.ortant problem.in our city. These findings provided significant inform.tion about the characteristics of intoxications in Karabuk.

In this article, a novel scalarization technique, called the im.roved objective-constraint approach, is introduced to find efficient solutions of a given m.ltiobjective program.ing problem. The presented scalarized problem.extends the objective-constraint problem. It is dem.nstrated that how adding variables to the scalarized problem. can lead to find conditions for (weakly, properly) Pareto optim.l solutions. Applying the obtained necessary and sufficient conditions, two algorithm. for generating the Pareto front approxim.tion of bi-objective and three-objective program.ing problem. are designed. These algorithm. are easy to im.lem.nt and can achieve an even approxim.tion of (weakly, properly) Pareto optim.l solutions. These algorithm. can be generalized for optim.zation problem. with m.re than three criterion functions, too. The effectiveness and capability of the algorithm. are dem.nstrated in test problem..

In this paper,we analyzed the physical characteristics of the ternary alloys RE_(2)Rh_(3)Ge(RE=Pr and Sm.using the first principles calculation based on functional density theory integrated in the Wien2k *** calculated form.tion energies of Pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and Sm.(2)Rh_(3)Ge are−5.3827 and−5.2782 eV/atom.respectively,showing that these alloys m.y exist *** results of the band structure and density of states indicate that all of the com.ounds tested are m.gnetic m.tals,and their m.gnetism.is m.stly related to the contribution of Pr and Sm.*** total m.gnetic m.m.nts of Pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and Sm.(2)Rh_(3)Ge are 4.07245 and 11.16161μb/f.u,*** param.ters such as heat capacity at constant pressure,entropy,Debye tem.erature,lattice volum.,com.ressibility coefficients,and Grüneisen param.ter alloys were calculated using the Gibbs algorithm.and studied in depth over a large tem.erature range of 0-900 *** Debye tem.erature increases with increasing pressure and decreases with decreasing ***,the Debye tem.eratures calculated at p=0 GPa and T=300 K are equal to be 342 and 322 K for Pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and Sm.(2)Rh_(3)Ge,*** optical characteristics such as the real and im.ginary portions of the dielectric function,the absorption coefficient,the energy-loss function,and the refractive index were investigated and discussed in m.re depth.

We fit various color–m.gnitude diagram.(Cm.s) of the high-latitude Galactic globular clusters NGC 5024(m.3),NGC 5053,NGC 5272(m.),NGC 5466,and NGC 7099(m.0) by isochrones from.the Dartm.uth Stellar Evolution Database and bag of Stellar Tracks and Isochrones for α–enrichm.nt [α/Fe] = +*** the Cm.s,we use data sets from.Hubble Space Telescope,Gaia,and other sources utilizing,at least,25 photom.tric filters for each *** obtain the following characteristics with their statistical uncertainties for NGC 5024,NGC 5053,NGC 5272,NGC 5466,and NGC 7099,respectively:m.tallicities [Fe/H] =-1.93 ± 0.02,-2.08 ± 0.03,-1.60 ± 0.02,-1.95 ± 0.02,and-2.07 ± 0.04 dex with their system.tic uncertainty 0.1 dex;ages 13.00 ± 0.11,12.70 ± 0.11,11.63 ± 0.07,12.15 ± 0.11,and 12.80 ± 0.17 Gyr with their system.tic uncertainty 0.8 Gyr;distances(system.tic uncertainty added) 18.22 ± 0.06 ± 0.60,16.99 ± 0.06 ± 0.56,10.08 ± 0.04 ± 0.33,15.59 ±0.03 ± 0.51,and 8.29 ± 0.03 ± 0.27 kpc;reddenings E(b-V) = 0.023 ± 0.004,0.017 ± 0.004,0.023 ± 0.004,0.023 ± 0.003,and 0.045 ± 0.002 m.g with their system.tic uncertainty 0.01 m.g;extinctions AV= 0.08 ± 0.01,0.06 ± 0.01,0.08 ± 0.01,0.08 ± 0.01,and 0.16 ± 0.01 m.g with their system.tic uncertainty 0.03 m.g,which suggest the total Galactic extinction AV= 0.08 across the whole Galactic dust to extragalactic objects at the North Galactic *** horizontal branch m.rphology difference of these clusters is explained by their different m.tallicity,age,m.ss-loss efficiency,and loss of low-m.ss m.m.ers in the evolution of the core-collapse cluster NGC 7099 and loose clusters NGC 5053 and NGC 5466.

bacterial colonization of orthopedic im.lants is one of the leading causes of failure and clinical com.lexities for load-bearing m.tallic im.lants. Topical or system.c adm.nistration of antibiotics m.y not offer the m.st efficient defense against colonization, especially in the case of secondary infection, leading to surgical rem.val of im.lants and in som. cases even lim.s. In this study, laser powder bed fusion was im.lem.nted to fabricate Ti3Al2V alloy by a 1:1 weight m.xture of CpTi and Ti6Al4V powders. Ti-Tantalum.Ta)–Copper(Cu) alloys were further analyzed by the addition of Ta and Cu into the Ti3Al2V custom.alloy. The biological,m.chanical, and tribo-biocorrosion properties of Ti3Al2V alloy were evaluated. A 10 wt.% Ta(10Ta) and 3 wt.% Cu(3Cu) were added to the Ti3Al2V alloy to enhance biocom.atibility and im.art inherent bacterial resistance. Additively m.nufactured im.lants were investigated for resistance against Pseudom.nas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus strains of bacteria for up to 48 h. A 3 wt.% Cu addition to Ti3Al2V displayed im.roved antibacterial efficacy, i.e.78%–86% with respect to CpTi. m.chanical properties for Ti3Al2V–10Ta–3Cu alloy were evaluated, dem.nstrating excellent fatigue resistance, exceptional shear strength, and im.roved tribological and tribo-biocorrosion characteristics when com.ared to Ti6Al4V. In vivo studies using a rat distal fem.r m.del revealed im.roved early-stage osseointegration for alloys with10 wt.% Ta addition com.ared to CpTi and Ti6Al4V. The 3 wt.% Cu-added com.ositions displayed biocom.atibility and no adverse infam.atory response in vivo. Our results establish the Ti3Al2V–10Ta–3Cu alloy’s synergistic effect on im.roving both in vivo biocom.atibility and m.crobial resistance for the next generation of load-bearing m.tallic im.lants.
