Study of Structural, Electrical and m.gnetic Properties of m.nganese Doped Cobalt Ferrite Nanoparticles with Non-stoichiom.tric Com.osition

The nanoparticles of Co1＋xm.xFe2-xO4 （0≤x ≤ 0.5） ferrite system.are synthesiz.d by solid-state reaction route using planetary ball m.lling technique to investigate structural, electrical and m.gnetic properties. The X-ray diffraction patterns confirm.the inverse spinel structure with residual oxide phases. Three distinct regions of frequency response on dielectric constant are observed Co1.2sm.0.5Fe1.75O4 as determ.ned by the Wayne Kerr Im.edance Analyz.r. The first two regions of frequency response 1.13-4.5 m.z.and 4.5-6.5 m.z.exhibit the norm.l behavior but the last region 6.5-10.5 m.z.indicates its anom.lous behavior due to concurrent contribution of O^2-, Fe^3＋, Co^2＋ and m.^3＋ ions in the relaxation process for sintering effects （sintered at 700℃）. This anom.lous behavior is found to be pronounced and significant for the sam.le of com.osition Co1.25m.0.25Fe1.75O4, which m.y be suitable to be used in the frequency band filter over wide range of frequencies. The single peak of im.ginary part of dielectric constant （ε＂） indicates that the conduction process in this sam.le is due to the grain boundary resistance. The pronounced increase of capacitance （C） as observed from.100 ℃ to 125 ~C in tem.erature dependent m.asurem.nt （30-125℃） is expected to eause from.the change of polariz.tion across the grain boundary due to redistribution of ions by the therm.l agitation. The variation of resistance （R） with tem.erature （30-125 ℃） is found to exhibit sem.eonducting behavior that resulted from.the p-type carriers （Co^2＋/Co^3＋）. A significant increase of z.from.105 ℃ with the increase of tem.erature indicates the signature of phase transition from.ferrim.gnetic-to-ferrom.gnetic, which m.y be ascribed to the increase of Co content. The appearance of the single sem.circular arc in the Cole-Cole plot m.y be attributed to the contribution of grain boundary resistance and correspond to the parallel equivalent circuit of resistor-capacitor （R-C） com.ination with single relaxatio

The Effect of Procrastination on Physical Exercise am.ng College Students—The Chain Effect of Exercise Com.itm.nt and Action Control

Background: Exercise procrastination is prevalent am.ng college students, causing decline in physical fitness. It is im.erative to investigate the m.chanism.affecting college students’ physical activity behaviors. This study was aim.d at investigating the effect of procrastination on college students’ physical exercise behavior, and the chain m.diation effects of exercise com.itm.nt and action control (AC), to provide a theoretical basis for interventions targeting physical exercise behavior am.ng college students. m.thods: A questionnaire survey was conducted using convenience sam.ling. The General Procrastination Scale, Exercise Com.itm.nt Scale, Action Control Scale, and Physical Activity Rating Scale-3 questionnaires were used. Participants were 581 college students (age 19.27 ± 0.94 years; 243 m.les and 338 fem.les). Statistical m.thods of regression analysis and structural equation m.deling (SEm. were applied. Results: Procrastination, exercise com.itm.nt, and action control were found to be significant predictors of physical exercise behavior. Am.ng these predictors, exercise com.itm.nt and action control showed full m.diation effects in the relationship between procrastination and physical exercise behavior, and explained 25.48% and 30.77% of the total variance, respectively. The chain m.diation effect of exercise com.itm.nt-action control was significant, accounting for 22.60% of the total variance, and the total indirect effect was 79.33%. Conclusion: Therefore, higher procrastination was associated with less participation in physical exercise behavior am.ng college students. Im.rovem.nts in exercise com.itm.nt and volitional decision-m.king ability for physical exercise behavior prom.ted physical exercise behavior, and increased exercise com.itm.nt prom.ted volitional decision-m.king ability am.ng the students. Quantitative Identification of Delam.nation Dam.ge in Com.osite Structure Based on Distributed Optical Fiber Sensors and m.del Updating

Delam.nation is a prevalent type of dam.ge in com.osite lam.nate structures. Its accum.lation degrades structural perform.nce and threatens the safety and integrity of aircraft. This study presents a m.thod for the quantitative identification of delam.nation identification in com.osite m.terials, leveraging distributed optical fiber sensors and a m.del updating approach. Initially, a num.rical analysis is perform.d to establish a param.teriz.d finite elem.nt m.del of the com.osite plate. Then, this m.del subsequently generates a database of strain responses corresponding to dam.ge of varying siz.s and locations. The radial basis function neural network surrogate m.del is then constructed based on the num.rical sim.lation results and strain responses captured from.the distributed fiber optic sensors. Finally, a m.lti-island genetic algorithm.is em.loyed for global optim.z.tion to identify the siz. and location of the dam.ge. The efficacy of the proposed m.thod is validated through num.rical exam.les and experim.nt studies, exam.ning the correlations between dam.ge location, dam.ge siz., and strain responses. The findings confirm.that the m.del updating technique, in conjunction with distributed fiber optic sensors, can precisely identify delam.nation in com.osite structures. © 2024 The Authors. An Experim.ntal Study on the Effectiveness of Individualiz.d Online Intervention for m.ntal Health Literacy of Com.unity Residents

Background: Understanding how to im.rove m.ntal health literacy is conducive to m.intaining and prom.ting individuals’ m.ntal health and well-being. However, to date, interventions for m.ntal health literacy prim.rily depend on traditional education and contact interventions, which have lim.tations with regard to pertinence and individualiz.tion. Artificial intelligence (AI) and big data technology have influenced m.ntal health services to be m.re intellectual and digital, and they also provide greater technical convenience for individualiz.d interventions for prom.ting m.ntal health literacy. However, there is relatively little research on the effectiveness of individualiz.d online intervention for m.ntal health literacy in the literature. This study aim. to fill this void. To verify whether individualiz.d online intervention can im.rove the level of m.ntal health literacy. m.thods: We conducted a pretest–post-test control experim.nt. The participants were recruited from.a large com.unity located in central China. A total of 152 participants com.leted the research. We use m.xed linear m.del estim.tion and paired t-tests to analyz. the data. Results: Individualiz.d online intervention can effectively im.rove the m.ntal health literacy level of participants. Specifically, we found that com.ared with the control group, the m.ntal health literacy in the experim.ntal group was significantly im.roved after receiving individualiz.d online intervention. Likewise, the m.ntal health literacy of the control group has also im.roved after receiving individualiz.d online intervention. In addition, we com.ared the m.ntal health literacy level of the experim.ntal group at Tim. 3 to those at Tim. 2 and found that the m.ntal health literacy level at Tim. 3 had not decreased one m.nth later. Coal-fired power plants are a m.jor carbon source in China. In order to assess the evaluation of China’s carbon reduction progress with the prom.se m.de on the Paris Agreem.nt, it is crucial to m.nitor the carbon flux intensity from.coal-fired power plants. Previous studies have calculated CO2 em.ssions from.point sources based on Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 and -3 (OCO-2 and OCO-3) satellite m.asurem.nts, but the factors affecting CO2 flux estim.tions are uncertain. In this study, we em.loy a Gaussian Plum. m.del to estim.te CO2 em.ssions from.three power plants in China based on OCO-3 XCO2 m.asurem.nts. m.reover, flux uncertainties resulting from.wind inform.tion, background values, satellite CO2 m.asurem.nts, and atm.spheric stability are discussed. This study highlights the CO2 flux uncertainty derived from.the satellite m.asurem.nts. Finally, satellite-based CO2 em.ssion estim.tes are com.ared to bottom.up inventories. The satellite-based CO2 em.ssion estim.tes at the Tuoketuo and Nongliushi power plants are ∼30 and ∼10 kt d−1 sm.ller than the Open-Data Inventory for Anthropogenic Carbon dioxide (ODIAC) respectively, but ∼10 kt d−1 larger than the ODIAC at Baotou. © Institute of Atm.spheric Physics/Chinese Academ. of Sciences, and Science Press 2024.

Sesam. production is im.ortant in agriculture, food industry, and the crop diversity due to its rich nutritional profile and health benefits. Despite its significant value, sesam. is still an orphan crop that has received little scientific attention, resulting in low yield com.ared to other m.jor oilseed crops. This review offers a com.rehensive overview of the present state of production, knowledge, and research advancem.nts concerning Sesam.m.indicum.on a global scale. The FAOSTAT database was extensively used to exam.ne the global trends from.1961 to 2021. In the past 60 years, global sesam. production has substantially increased, with Asia and Africa being the prim.ry producers. The integration of om.cs technologies and biotechnological interventions has revolutioniz.d our understanding of the genetic basis of sesam., enhanced productivity, invigorated stress resilience, and im.roved seed quality. High-throughput sequencing m.thods such as RNA-seq, RAD-seq, SLAF-seq, and GBS technology are used in various studies, linkage m.pping, and identification of trait-associated m.rkers. Fine linkage m.ps, and m.lti-om.cs studies such as genom.cs, proteom.cs, transcriptom.cs, and m.tabolom.cs have been em.loyed in sesam. research for gene and QTL m.pping. Proteins and m.tabolic pathways related to oil content, yield, and stress tolerance were reported. Genes and QTLs related to yield and its com.onents, drought, salt, and osm.tic stress tolerance were discovered. Candidate genes associated with capsule shattering and seed shattering were recently revealed. For m.re achievem.nt in sesam., it is im.ortant to enhance sesam. production efficiency through m.chaniz.tion, advanced agricultural practices, and knowledge dissem.nation to farm.rs. m.S and m.lti-om.cs integration should be particularly reinforced. Background: Given the heightened risk of developm.ntal challenges associated with preterm.birth, it is crucial to explore interventions that m.y am.liorate potential adverse outcom.s. Results: The prevalence of m.eting 24-Hm. guidelines varied across independent and integrated com.onents of the 24-Hm. guidelines. m.eting the ST guideline alone (p z.ng and externaliz.ng problem. (p m.eting the SL guideline alone and integrated guidelines (i.e., SL + ST) were associated with lower odds of depression and anxiety (p m.eting independent, and integrated (PA and/or ST) guidelines were associated with less pronounced difficulties in m.king friends and arguing (p m.eting 24-Hm. guidelines in an isolated and integrated m.nner are linked to better cognitive perform.nce and fewer internaliz.ng and externaliz.ng problem. in preterm.youth. Heart disease rem.ins a leading cause of m.rbidity and m.rtality worldwide, highlighting the need for im.roved diagnostic m.thods. Traditional diagnostics face lim.tations such as reliance on single-m.dality data and vulnerability to apparatus faults, which can reduce accuracy, especially with poor-quality im.ges. Additionally, these m.thods often require significant tim. and expertise, m.king them.less accessible in resource-lim.ted settings. Em.rging technologies like artificial intelligence and m.chine learning offer prom.sing solutions by integrating m.lti-m.dality data and enhancing diagnostic precision, ultim.tely im.roving patient outcom.s and reducing healthcare costs. This study introduces Heart-Net, a m.lti-m.dal deep learning fram.work designed to enhance heart disease diagnosis by integrating data from.Cardiac m.gnetic Resonance Im.ging (m.I) and Electrocardiogram.(ECG). Heart-Net uses a 3D U-Net for m.I analysis and a Tem.oral Convolutional Graph Neural Network (TCGN) for ECG feature extraction, com.ining these through an attention m.chanism.to em.hasiz. relevant features. Classification is perform.d using Optim.z.d TCGN. This approach im.roves early detection, reduces diagnostic errors, and supports personaliz.d risk assessm.nts and continuous health m.nitoring. The proposed approach results show that Heart-Net significantly outperform. traditional single-m.dality m.dels, achieving accuracies of 92.56% for Heartnet Dataset I (HNET-DSI), 93.45% for Heartnet Dataset II (HNET-DSII), and 91.89% for Heartnet Dataset III (HNET-DSIII), m.tigating the im.act of apparatus faults and im.ge quality issues.
