The aim.of the present study w.s to determ.ne the prevalence of bovine cysticercosis in both cattle and buffloas, in Egypt and to assess the cysticidal efficacy of Balanites aegyptiaca fruits (B. aegyptiaca) and m.ringa oleifera seeds (m. oleifera) extracts in experim.ntally infected m.ce. The study detected the level of tum.r necrosis factor (TNF-α) to m.nitor the im.une and inflam.atory responses of experim.ntally infected m.ce. Through m.at inspection, a total num.er of 2125 m.le bovine, 2 to 5 years old, (1125 cattle and 1000 buffloes) w.re exam.ned under the authority of Albsatine and Alw.raq official abattoirs in Cairo Governorate, Egypt covering the period extended from.m.rch 2022 to April 2023. The overall prevalence of the disease am.ng bovine w.s 7.8% (6.31% of cattle and 9.5% of buffloes). Besides, B. aegyptiaca and m. oleifera extracts show.d cysticidal activity in experim.ntally infected m.ce. A decrease in the num.ers of cysticerci w.s found in all treated m.ce groups, and up to 88% reduction w.s achieved in the B. aegyptiaca-treated group;higher than that w.s recorded in both m. oleifera (72.23%) and albendazole-treated ones (80.56%). Postm.rtem.findings proved that m. oleifera and B. aegyptiaca reduced cysticerci num.ers com.arable to a com.ercial anthelm.ntic. The study show.d a significant decrease (P 0.001) in TNF-α levels after treatm.nt w.th Balanites and m.ringa extracts, com.ared w.th the untreated control and the albendazole-treated groups.

m.dium.Frequency radio holds significance in m.dern society as it supports broadcasting and individual com.unications in the public, governm.nt, and m.litary sectors. Enhancing the availability and quality of these com.unications is only possible by enhancing the understanding of m.dium.frequency propagation. w.ile traditional m.thods of radio w.ve propagation research can have a high m.terial dem.nd and cost, softw.re defined radio presents itself as a versatile and low.cost platform.for m.dium.frequency signal reception and data acquisition. This paper details a research effort that utilizes softw.re defined radio to help characterize m.dium.frequency signal strength in relation to ionospheric and solar w.ather propagation determ.nants. Signal strength data from.seven m.dium.frequency stations of unique transm.ssion locations and varying transm.ssion pow.rs w.re retrieved in 24-hour segm.nts via a receiving loop antenna, Airspy HF+ Discovery softw.re defined radio, and SDR Sharp softw.re interface netw.rk. Retrieved data sets w.re visualized and analyzed in m.TLAB for the identification of signal strength trends, w.ich w.re subsequently com.ared to historical ionospheric and space w.ather indices in pursuit of a quantifiable correlation betw.en such indices and m.dium.frequency signal strengths. The results of the investigation prove that softw.re defined radio, w.en used in conjunction w.th a receiving antenna and data analysis program. provides a versatile m.chanism.for cost-efficient propagation research.

Stock Price Prediction Based on the Bi-GRU-Attention m.del

The stock m.rket, as one of the hotspots in the financial field, form. a data system.w.th a huge volum. of data and com.lex relationships betw.en various factors, m.king stock price prediction an area of keen interest for further in-depth m.ning and research. m.them.tical statistics m.thods struggle to deal w.th nonlinear relationships in practical applications, m.king it difficult to explore deep inform.tion about stocks. m.anw.ile, m.chine learning m.thods, particularly neural netw.rk m.dels and com.osite m.dels, w.ich have achieved outstanding results in other fields, are being applied to the stock m.rket w.th significant results. How.ver, researchers have found that these m.thods do not grasp the essential inform.tion of the data as w.ll as expected. In response to these issues, researchers are exploring better neural netw.rk m.dels and com.ining them.w.th other m.thods to analyze stock data. Thus, this paper proposes the ABiGRU com.osite m.del, w.ich com.ines the attention m.chanism.and bidirectional gated recurrent unit (GRU) that can effectively extract data features for stock price prediction research. m.dels such as LSTm. GRU, and Bi-LSTm.are selected for com.arative experim.nts. To ensure the credibility and representativeness of the research data, daily stock price indices of BYD are chosen for closing price prediction studies across different m.dels. The results show.that the ABiGRU m.del has a low.r prediction error and better fitting effect on three index-based stock prices, enhancing the learning efficiency of the neural netw.rk m.del and dem.nstrating good prediction stability. This suggests that the ABiGRU m.del is highly adaptable for stock price prediction.

The Alzheim.r’s Dem.ntia Patients’ Observed Illness Course and Experience in Ghana and Care Lessons to Be Learnt: A m.ntal Health Professional’s Perspective

Alzheim.r’s disease (AD) and associated dem.ntia patient num.ers continue to increase globally w.th associated econom.c costs to healthcare system.. Of note is the increase in num.ers in low.r and m.ddle-incom. countries (Lm.Cs) including Sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries, w.ich already face challenges w.th their health budgets from.com.unicable and non-com.unicable diseases. Ghana, an SSA country, faces the problem.of healthcare budgetary difficulties and the additional im.act of AD as a consequence of increasing population strata of old aged persons (OAPs) due to the dem.graphic transition effect. This article uses exam.les of know. patients’ illness courses to give a perspective on the lived experience of patients w.th dem.ntia (Pw.) in Ghana, living am.ngst a populace w.th a culture of stigm.tization of Pw., and a relatively fragile public m.ntal health system.(Pm.S) for those w.th m.ntal illness, including AD. The lived experience of AD patients is characterised by stigm.tisation, discrim.nation, non-inclusiveness, dim.nished dignity and hum.n rights abuses in the face of their m.ntal disability, and eventually death. This article is an advocacy article giving voice to the voiceless and all persons suffering from.AD and other dem.ntias in Ghana, w.ilst pleading for a call to action from.healthcare professionals and responsible state agencies.

Background: Transgender healthcare is not a form.l learning requirem.nt in Internal m.dicine residency or fellow.hip. The National LGBTQ Task Force appealed to urgently train clinicians on the effective care of transgender patients. Few.studies address the successful im.lem.ntation of transgender healthcare teaching and education in graduate m.dical education. Purpose: The purpose w.s to design an online asynchronous curriculum.to address the need for im.roved transgender healthcare education in graduate m.dical education and assess change in know.edge and com.ort in transgender healthcare for residents and fellow.learners. m.thods: A 6-m.dule curriculum.w.s developed using established guidelines and ACGm. com.etencies as a fram.w.rk for content. To assess curriculum.effectiveness, participants received anonym.us pre- and post-curriculum.surveys w.ich included a m.ltiple-choice know.edge assessm.nt, Likert scale com.ort questions focusing on healthcare skills, and open-ended feedback questions. Results: Tw.nty-six internal m.dicine residents and fellow. participated in the curriculum.(2022-2023). There w.s a 69% post-survey response rate. Participants im.roved their gender-affirm.ng know.edge after com.leting the curriculum.(p Conclusion: This online curriculum.w.s successful in increasing know.edge and com.ort in transgender care for Im.residents and fellow.. It provides a prom.sing fram.w.rk to address this gap in curricular content.

Com.ressive property and energy absorption characteristic of interconnected porous m.-Zn-Y alloys w.th adjusting Y addition

In this study,interconnected porous m.-2Zn-xY alloys w.th different phase com.ositions w.re prepared by various Y additions(x=0.4,3,and 6 w..%)to adjust the com.ressive properties and energy absorption *** characterization m.thods w.re then applied to identify the m.crostructure of the porous m.-Zn-Y and describe the details of the second *** tests w.re perform.d at room.tem.erature(RT),200℃,and 300℃to study the im.act of the Y addition and testing tem.erature on the com.ressive properties of the porous *** experim.ntal results show.d that a high Y content prom.tes a m.crostructure refinem.nt and increases the volum. fraction of the second *** the Y content increases,different m.-Zn-Y ternary phases appear:I-phase(m._(3)Zn_(6)Y),w.phase(m._(3)Zn_(3)Y_(2)),and LPSO phase(m._(12)ZnY).w.en the Y content ranges betw.en 0.4%and 6%,the com.ressive strength increases from.6.30m.a to 9.23 m.a,and the energy absorption capacity increases from.7.33 m./m.(3)to 10.97 m./m.(3)at RT,w.ich is m.inly attributed to the phase com.osition and volum. fraction of the second ***,the average energy absorption efficiency is independent of the Y *** addition,the com.ressive deform.tion behaviors of the porous m.-Zn-Y are altered by the testing *** com.ressive strength and energy absorption capacity of the porous m.-Zn-Y decrease due to the softening effect of the high tem.erature on the *** deform.tion behaviors at different tem.eratures are finally observed to reflect the failure m.chanism. of the struts.

甲醛(FA)作为一种有致癌风险的有害污染物,在室内环境中普遍存在.为了高效去除甲醛,催化氧化技术成为了一种既经济又节能的选择,它不仅能降低材料成本(例如避免使用贵金属),也能在无光和室温的条件下进行.本文制备了一种成本效益高的碱改性锰酸铜尖晶石(Cum.^(2)O_(4))催化剂,并用于甲醛催化氧化反应中.实验结果表明,采用碱(1 m.l L^(-1)氢氧化钾)改性的Cum.^(2)O_(4)(1-Cum.^(2)O_(4))作为催化剂,在室温条件下,当甲醛浓度为50 ppm.气体空速为4777 h^(-1)时,甲醛转化率(XFA)达到100%;此外,在甲醛转化率为10%时,其稳态反应速率达到了8.18×10^(-2) m.ol g^(-1) h^(-1).原位漫反射红外傅立叶变换光谱结果表明,在催化剂的作用下,甲醛分子经过二氧亚甲基和甲酸酯中间体的转化,最终被氧化为水和二氧化碳.进一步结合密度泛函理论模拟发现,1-Cum.^(2)O_(4)具有较高的催化氧化甲醛性能,可归因于甲醛分子更牢固地吸附在1-Cum.^(2)O_(4)表面,甲醛吸附所需的能量较低,以及最终产物从催化剂表面脱附所需的能量也较低的综合效应.本研究为在无光和室温条件下,高效去除空气中甲醛提供了新型高效、成本效益高且无需贵金属的催化剂,从而为室内空气净化提供了新的科学见解.

In this paper,layered periodic foundations(LPFs)are num.rically exam.ned for their responses to longitudinal and transverse m.des in the tim. and frequency *** different unit-cells,i.e.,2-layer,4-layer,and 6-layer unit-cells,com.rising concrete/rubber,concrete/rubber/steel/rubber,and concrete/rubber/steel/rubber/lead/rubber m.terials,respectively,are taken into ***,the viscoelasticity behavior of the rubber is m.deled w.th tw. factors,i.e.,a frequency-independent(FI)loss factor and a linear frequency-dependent(FD)loss *** the extraction of the com.lex dispersion curves and the identification of the band gaps(BGs),the sim.lations of w.ve transm.ssion in the tim. and frequency dom.ins are perform.d using the COm.OL *** param.tric studies evaluate the effects of the rubber viscoelasticity m.dels on the dispersion curves and the w.ve transm.ssion for the longitudinal and transverse *** results show.that considering the rubber viscoelasticity enhances the w.ve attenuation ***,the transverse-m.de dam.ing is m.re sensitive to the viscoelasticity m.del than its longitudinal *** 6-layer unit-cell LPF exhibits the low.st BG,ranging from.4.8 Hz to 6.5 Hz.

户县草堂寺碑篆刻了1247年蒙古阔端太子发布的令旨。此令旨自20世纪50年代起即受到学术界关注和研究。但过了近70年，关于此令旨发布地点“习吉滩下窝鲁朵”为何处这一问题依然没有得到解决。笔者经过考证认为，按照古代北方游牧人的方位观，令旨中“西凉府西北约一百里习吉滩下窝鲁朵处”中的“西北”应该指的是“西南”方向。在藏文文献中也证明阔端王的宫殿是“凉州山顶上的城堡”。此地位于甘肃西部祁连山北麓的肃南裕固族自治县皇城镇，也就是元代以来称为夏日塔拉的地方。
