The β^+ decay of ^(31)Ar was investigated in an experim.nt at the GSI-FRS *** ions of interest have been produced in the fragm.ntation of a ^(36)Ar beam.at 880 m. V/nucleon and im.lanted in a tim. projection cham.er with optical readout. In addition to β-delayed one and two proton em.ssion, for the first tim. the em.ssion of β-delayed 3 protons has been observed. The branching ratio for this decay m.de is found to be(0.07 ± 0.02)%.

An experim.nt aim.d to investigate the two-proton(2p) decay of the previously unknown nucleus ^(30)Ar was perform.d at GSI. By tracking the decay products in-flight with silicon m.cro-strip detectors, the 2p decays of ^(30)Ar were observed for the first tim.. For the calibration purpose, 2p decays of ^(19)m. were also rem.asured by tracking the coincident ^(17)Ne+p+p trajectories. By com.aring the m.asured angular p-17 Ne correlations with those obtained from.the corresponding m.nte Carlo sim.lations,the sim.ltaneous 2p decay of ^(19)m. ground state and the sequential 2p em.ssion of several known excited states of ^(19)m. were confirm.d. One new excited state in ^(19)m. and two new excited states in ^(18)Na were observed.

Fission properties of the actinide nuclei are deduced from.theoretical *** investigate potential energy surfaces and fission barriers and predict the fission fragm.nt m.ss yields of actinide *** results are com.ared with experim.ntal data where *** calculations were perform.d in the m.croscopic-m.croscopic approxim.tion With the Lublin-Strasbourg Drop(LSD)for the m.croscopic part,and the m.croscopic energy corrections were evaluated in the Yukawa-folded *** Fourier nuclear shape param.trization is used to describe the nuclear shape,including the non-axial degree of *** fission fragm.nt m.ss yields of the nuclei considered are evaluated within a 3D colletive m.del using the Borm.Oppenheim.r approxim.tion.
