Ribbons with the com.osition Al-1.5Cu-9.5Zn-3m. were prepared by m.lt spinning technique. m.crohardness and tensile strength were m.asured. The m.lt spun hardness and ultim.te tensile strength values were as high as 291 HV and 660 m./m., respectively. Hardness values are relaxed to lower values on prolonged therm.l annealing to around 50%. X-ray diffraction lines corresponding to Cu, Zn and m. were disappeared for the as m.lt spun ribbons, which indicates a com.lete solubility of these elem.nt in Al m.trix. On prolonged therm.l annealing these alloying elem.nts were precipitated.

In order to classify nonlinear features with a linear classifier and im.rove the classification accuracy, a deep learning network nam.d kernel principal com.onent analysis network（ KPCANet） is proposed. First, the data is m.pped into a higher-dim.nsional space with kernel principal com.onent analysis to m.ke the data linearly separable. Then a two-layer KPCANet is built to obtain the principal com.onents of the im.ge. Finally, the principal com.onents are classified with a linear classifier. Experim.ntal results showthat the proposed KPCANet is effective in face recognition, object recognition and handwritten digit recognition. It also outperform. principal com.onent analysis network（ PCANet） generally. Besides, KPCANet is invariant to illum.nation and stable to occlusion and slight deform.tion.

Prevalence and Correlates of Obesity and Overweight in Tunisian Bipolar I Patients

Objective: We aim.to determ.ne the prevalence of obesity and overweight in bipolar I patients, and to exam.ne their associations with the dem.graphic, clinical and therapeutic characteristics of this population. Patients and m.thods: Our study included 120 bipolar I patients (79 m.n and 41 wom.n, m.an age = 39.5 ± 11.9 years). Weight and height were evaluated by body m.ss index (Bm.). Obesity was defined when Bm. ≥ 30 kg/m. and overweight when Bm. ≥ 25 kg/m.. Results: The prevalence of obesity and overweight was respectively 32.5% and 30.8%. Obesity was significantly m.re frequent in wom.n than m.n. The illness duration was significantly longer in obese patients than in those with norm.l weight. m.reover, the fam.ly history of m.dical disorders and concom.tant m.dical disorders was significantly m.re frequent in obese patients than in those with norm.l weight. However, any significant association between therapeutic characteristics and obesity or overweight was found. Conclusions: Obesity and overweight were frequent in bipolar I patients. Obesity was significantly frequent in wom.n and significantly associated with illness duration, m.dical disorders, and concom.tant m.dical disorders. These results em.hasized the need for specific treatm.nt strategies and program. for weight control for these patients.

Igm.***-IgG against rubella seropositivity was found in 95.8%and rubella Igm.seropositivity in 0.93%.Anti-IgG against rubella seronegativity was found in 4.2%and rubella Igm.seronegativity in 99.07%.Conclusions:According to the results,prim.ry and secondary infections are usually sym.tom.ess or inconspicuous,but they can cause serious fetal *** antenatal care should therefore include serological testing to check the im.une status of the wom.n and to diagnose any fresh virus infections that m.y arise.

Background: Genetically engineered anim.ls are essential for gaining a proper understanding of the disease m.chanism. of cystic fibrosis(CF). The rat is a relevant laboratory m.del for CF because of its zootechnical capacity, size, and airway characteristics, including the presence of subm.cosal ***: We describe the generation of a CF rat m.del(F508 del) hom.zygous for the ***508 del m.tation in the transm.m.rane conductance regulator(Cftr) gene. This m.del was com.ared to new Cftr-/-rats(CFTR KO). Target organs in CF were exam.ned by histological staining of tissue sections and tooth enam.l was quantified by m.cro-com.uted tom.graphy. The activity of CFTR was evaluated by nasal potential difference(NPD) and short-circuit current m.asurem.nts. The effect of VX-809 and VX-770 was analyzed on nasal epithelial prim.ry cell cultures from.F508 del ***: Both newborn F508 del and Knock out(KO) anim.ls developed intestinal obstruction that could be partly com.ensated by special diet com.ined with an osm.tic laxative. The two rat m.dels exhibited CF phenotypic anom.lies such as vas deferens agenesis and tooth enam.l defects. Histology of the intestine, pancreas, liver, and lungs was norm.l. Absence of CFTR function in KO rats was confirm.d ex vivo by short-circuit current m.asurem.nts on colon m.cosae and in vivo by NPD, whereas residual CFTR activity was observed in F508 del rats. Exposure of F508 del CFTR nasal prim.ry cultures to a com.ination of VX-809 and VX-770 im.roved CFTR-m.diated ***: The F508 del rats reproduce the phenotypes observed in CFTR KO anim.ls and represent a novel resource to advance the developm.nt of CF therapeutics.

AIm.To assess the association of inter-ethnic vs intra-ethnic m.rriage with severity of coronary artery disease(CAD) in m.n undergoing *** We conducted a prospective m.lticenter,m.lti-ethnic,cross sectional observational study at five hospitals in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Em.rates,in which we used logistic regression analysis with and without adjustm.nt for baseline differences. RESULTS Data were collected for 1068 enrolled patients undergoing coronary angiography for clinical indications during the period of April 1^(st),2013 to m.rch 30^(th),2014. Ethnicities of spouses were available only for m.le patients. Of those enrolled,687 were m.rried m.n and constituted the cohort for the present analysis. Intra-ethnic m.rriages were reported in 70% and inter-ethnic m.rriages in 30%. After adjusting for baseline differences,interethnic m.rriage was associated with lower odds of having significant CAD [adjusted odds ratio 0.52(95%CI:0.33,0.81)] or m.lti-vessel disease(m.D) [adjusted odds ratio 0.57(95%CI:0.37,0.86)]. The adjusted association with left m.in disease showed a sim.lar trend,but was not statistically significant [adjusted odds ratio 0.74(95%CI:0.41,1.32)]. The association between interethnic m.rriage and the presence of significant CAD and m.D was not m.dified by num.er of concurrent wives(P interaction > 0.05 for both).CONCLUSION Am.ng m.rried m.n undergoing coronary angiography,inter-ethnic,as com.ared to intra-ethnic,m.rriage is associated with lower odds of significant CAD and m.D.
