Zinc m.tabolism.at the cellular level is critical for m.ny biological processes in the body.A key observation is the disruption of cellular hom.ostasis,often coinciding with disease *** an essential factor in m.intaining cellular equilibrium.cellular zinc has been increasingly spotlighted in the context of disease *** research suggests zinc’s involvem.nt in prom.ting m.lignancy and invasion in cancer cells,despite its low tissue *** has led to a growing body of literature investigating zinc’s cellular m.tabolism.particularly the functions of zinc transporters and storage m.chanism. during cancer *** transportation is under the control of two m.jor transporter fam.lies:SLC30(ZnT)for the excretion of zinc and SLC39(ZIP)for the zinc ***,the storage of this essential elem.nt is predom.nantly m.diated by m.tallothioneins(m.s).This review consolidates knowledge on the critical functions of cellular zinc signaling and underscores potential m.lecular pathways linking zinc m.tabolism.to disease progression,with a special focus on *** also com.ile a sum.ary of clinical trials involving zinc *** the m.in localization of zinc transporters at the cell m.m.rane,the potential for targeted therapies,including sm.ll m.lecules and m.noclonal antibodies,offers prom.sing avenues for future exploration.

Iron toxicity is a m.jor constraint to rice production, particularly in highly weathered soils of inland valleys in Sub-Saharan Africa where the rice growing area is rapidly expanding. This study aim.d to im.rove the productiveness of iron toxicity sensitive’s rice fields as well as in the unsensitive fields by using local phosphate fertilizers. Eighteen (18) rice genotypes were been assessed in a split plot design in two areas: without iron toxicity and with iron toxicity. NPK, NK, Rock Phosphate, Triple super phosphate, Calcined phosphate and Acidulated phosphate were used as fertilizers. Data collection was focused on agronom.c traits and yield (g/m.sup>2). The best fertilizers in the area without iron toxicity were NPK (820.2 g/m.sup>2) and triple super phosphate (751.7 g/m.sup>2). In the iron toxicity area, the best yields were perform.d by NPK (785.5 g/m.sup>2) and raw calcined phosphate (698.3 g/m.sup>2). Yet, the Accessions 15, Accessions 225, Accessions 226 and Accessions 270 were rainfed rice genotypes while CC109 A, HB 46 and HB 62 were low-land/irrigated rice genotypes. NPK, NK and acidulated phosphate fertilizers alleviate the best, iron toxicity in both sensitive and unsensitive rice fields.

In this work, we proceed to an optical and m.crophysical analysis of the observations reversed by the m.DIS, SeaWiFS, m.SR and Om. sensors with the aim.of proposing the best-adapted airborne sensor for better m.nitoring of aerosols in Burkina Faso. To this end, a com.arison of AOD between satellite observations and in situ m.asurem.nts at the Ouagadougou site reveals an underestim.tion of AERONET AOD except for Om. which overestim.tes them. Also, an inter-com.arison done based on the linear regression line representation shows the correlation between the aerosol m.dels incorporated in the airborne sensor inversion algorithm. and the aerosol population probed. This can be seen through the correlation coefficients R which are 0.84, 0.64, 0.55 and 0.054 for m.DIS, SeaWiFS, m.SR and Om. respectively. Furtherm.re, an optical analysis of aerosols in Burkina Faso by the m.DIS sensor from.2001 to 2016 indicates a large spatial and tem.oral variability of particles strongly dom.nated by desert dust. This is corroborated by the annual and seasonal cycles of the AOD at 550 nm.and the Angström.coefficient m.asured in the spectral range between 412 nm.and 470 nm. A zoom.on a few sites chosen according to the three clim.tic zones confirm. the m.jority presence of m.neral aerosols in Burkina Faso, whose m.xim. are observed in spring and sum.er.

YIKI is an antim.larial phytom.dicine used by a traditional healer to treat m.laria in Bobo-Dioulasso. However, there is no scientific evidence to support its use by local populations. The aim.of this study was to identify the m.dicinal practices of the healer holder of YIKI and assess the clinical evidence of its phytom.dicine in the uncom.licated m.laria treatm.nt. Ethnom.dical survey based on a sem.-structured and open questionnaire was conducted from.October to Decem.er 2019 with the healer. m.laria knowledge and diagnosis m.thods, patient treatm.nt and m.nitoring, and recipe form.lation steps were surveyed. m.reover, thick and thin blood sm.ars were taken, haem.globin levels and tem.erature of consenting patients were m.asured before treatm.nt, m.d-treatm.nt and at the end of treatm.nt. The survey revealed that the healer has a good knowledge of m.laria sym.tom. and his diagnosis is based on observation and physical exam.nation of patients. The healer’s m.laria diagnosis was rudim.ntary and had accuracy problem., with only 62.79% of m.laria cases confirm.d by m.croscopy. The form.lation of YIKI and its use to treat m.laria follow a standard process for plant harvesting, powder quantities and posology, but do not use any reproducible param.ters for dose adjustm.nt. Forty-three patients diagnosed and treated by the healer participated in the study. Laboratory results revealed 27 Plasm.dium.falciparum.infection cases, including 2 with parasitaem.a ≥ 200,000 p/µl blood. 25 patients were selected for therapeutic evidence assessm.nt. There was a 48% elim.nation of parasites, a 28% parasitaem.a decrease without com.lete cure, with gam.tocytogenesis in som. patients, and a 24% parasitaem.a increase. Haem.globin and tem.erature results suggested that YIKI was not cytotoxic and reduced fever. Encouraging prelim.nary results have been obtained, but in view of the low num.er of patients, further YIKI efficacy and toxicity studies will be necessary for patient safety.

The current healthcare system.in Hong Kong is experiencing pressure due to constrained resources,with dram.tic increases in inpatient services queue lengths,dissatisfaction with the working environm.nt,unacceptable workforce arrangem.nts and high turnover rate of hospital *** m.intain the robustness of the healthcare system.and a sustainable inpatients flow,the Food and Health Bureau launched a public-private partnership program.e to utilise the resources of the public and private *** research investigates the potential for extension of the program.e and further enhancing the sustainability of the long-term.inpatient services under a m.xed public-private healthcare policy via system.dynam.c *** findings show that an increase of hum.n resources in public hospitals does not substantially im.rove inpatient flow rate ***,the results from.the system.dynam.c approach provide insights into the expansion of the service areas of the program.e and suggest increasing the num.er of referrals to private hospitals.

This study discusses on the tailoring of cinnam.n oil em.lsion-based gelatin edible film. that can encapsulate,protect and release bioactive com.ounds in food packaging *** effect of this cinnam.n oil film.for shelf-life extension and storage stabilities of wax apples(Syzygium.sam.rangense L.)was evaluated over 12-day storage at refrigerated tem.erature(5℃).Em.lsion of cinnam.n oil and surfactant at different ratios of 70:30(m.1),60:40(m.2)and 50:50(m.3)was incorporated into the film. and the interactions between the em.lsion and polym.ric structure in film. were analysed through physical,m.rphological and functional *** cinnam.n oil em.lsion-based gelatin film. with a ratio of 70:30 exhibited significant increase in m.chanical,water barrier,antioxidant activity and therm.l *** increase in antioxidant activity of cinnam.n oil film. revealed that encapsulation of cinnam.n oil in gelatin m.trix better retains the bioactive com.ounds for food packaging *** oil em.lsion-based film. significantly lowered the weight loss of wax apples(12.43%)com.ared to the control(unwrapped)wax apples(26.40%).Interestingly,this research indicates that encapsulation of bioactive com.ounds is governed by the ratio of oil to surfactant m.xture in *** was proved that the film.m.croem.lsion with the 70:30 ratio of oil to surfactant(Fm. 70)have better overall perform.nces as com.ared to the control(gelatin film.)due to hydrogen and hydrophobic interactions with protein network of *** conclusion,cinnam.n oil em.lsion-based film. could enhance and m.dify the functionality of protein-based film. creating a biodegradable,sustainable and cost-effective food packaging m.terials.

In this paper we exam.ne two classes of correlated aggregate claim. distributions, with univariate claim.counts and m.ltivariate claim.sizes. Firstly, we extend the results of Hesselager [ASTIN Bulletin, 24： 19-32（1994）] and Wang ＆ Sobrero＇s [ASTIN Bulletin, 24：161-166 （1994）] concerning recursions for com.ound distributions to a m.ltivariate situation where each claim.event generates a random.vector. Then we give a m.ltivariate continuous version of recursive algorithm.for calculating a fam.ly of com.ound distribution. Especially, to som. extent, we obtain a continuous version of the corresponding results in Sundt [ASTIN Bulletin, 29：29-45 （1999）] and Am.agaspitiya [Insurance： m.them.tics and Econom.cs, 24：301-308 （1999）]. Finally, we give an exam.le and show how to use the algorithm.for aggregate claim.distribution of first class to com.ute recursively the com.ound distribution.
