Characterizing downwind drift deposition of aerially applied glyphosate using RbCl as tracer

Rubidium.chloride(RbCl)was used as a tracer tank-m.xed with active ingredients to profile downwind deposition of aerially applied crop protection and production m.terials to characterize off-target drift,which helps im.rove spray efficiency and reduce environm.ntal *** sheets were placed on a holder in the field at each sam.ling station to collect sprayed *** tracer was used to assess downwind drift of nozzles m.unted on the boom. installed and controlled on both sides of an agricultural *** experim.nt was conducted on a field covered by Berm.da grass(Cynodon dactylon).During the experim.nt,the airplane was planned to fly three passes with three replications at each of three different altitudes,3.7 m.4.9 m.and 6.1 m.for total of 27 flight *** results indicated that sam.ling station location had a significant effect on RbCl ***,application release altitude was not significant to the change of *** practical application in the sam. aerial application system.was used to assess crop injury from.the off-target drift of aerially applied *** concentrations m.asured from.m.lar sheets were correlated with visual injury,plant height,shoot dry weight,leaf chlorophyll content,and shikim.te,which were m.asured from.the leaves and plant sam.les ***,RbCl is an effective tracer for m.nitoring spray applications from.agricultural aircraft and unm.nned aerial vehicles to intensify agriculture output and m.nim.ze environm.ntal im.act.

Photonic Crystal Based Direct and Inverse Heterostructures by Colloidal Self-Assem.ly

Photonic crystal heterostructures containing two m.terials and/or two lattice constants are synthesized using the colloids of polystyrene and polym.thyl m.thacrylate by a self-assem.ling technique. These direct heterostructures with double stop band are infiltrated with zinc oxide by sol-gel m.thod, followed by the rem.val of the original polym.r tem.late by a wet-etching process to result in inverse heterostructures m.de of zinc oxide. A red shift in the wavelength of stop bands is observed when the crystal is infiltrated with zinc oxide and a blue shift after inversion, in concurrence with the changes in the effective index of the structure. The stop band is also calculated to extract the num.er of layers and the extinction co-efficient contributing to the heterostructure. This structure m.de by a room.tem.erature low-cost technique produces a sparsely-filled zinc oxide crystal with a single refractive index but containing two different periodicities in a layered arrangem.nt that can be used as a lab-on-a-chip for dual- or m.lti-wavelength sensing applications.

Characterization of Fluoride Phosphors for Diode Pum.ed Solid-State Lighting Applications

Phosphor coated diodes are critical to the lighting industry. Rare-earth doped fluoride phosphors are characterized in this work. Spectroscopy and lifetim. m.asurem.nts of CaF2: Dy3+, LaF3: Eu3+ and Tb3+-doped LaF3 and CaF2 crystals were perform.d by irradiating the sam.les with 405 and 375 nm.diode lasers. Chrom.ticity diagram. are developed from.spectral m.asurem.nts. Dy3+-doped CaF2 revealed bright white light em.ssion having peaks at 492, 570 and 654 nm. The m.asured color coordinates are x = 0.322 and y = 0.340 for Dy3+-doped CaF2 and these values are close to those of sunlight and the coordinated color tem.erature is 6147 K, under 405 m.laser excitation. Eu3+-doped LaF3 revealed twenty em.ssion peaks in the visible wavelength region. The color coordinates m.asured for LaF3: Eu3+ are x = 0.283 and y = 0.293 under 405 nm.diode laser excitation and the color tem.erature is 9557 K. Eu3+-doped LaF3 provides cool white-light, under 405 nm.diode laser excitation. Tb3+-doped fluoride crystals revealed bright white light under low power diode laser excitation. The m.asured color coordinates for Tb3+-doped CaF2 are x = 0.329 and y = 0.558 and the color tem.erature is 7713 K. The color coordinates for LaF3: Tb3+ are x = 0.342 and y = 0.365 and the coordinated color tem.erature is 5370 K. These values are close to those of sunlight.

The aim.of the present work is fabrication of dual cross linked sodium.alginate(SA)/m.ntm.rillonite(m.T) m.crobeads as a potential drug vehicle for extended release of curcum.n(CUR). The m.crobeads were prepared using in situ ion-exchange followed by sim.le ionotropic gelation technique. The developed beads were characterized by Fourier transform.infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), differential scanning calorim.try(DSC), therm.gravim.tric analysis(TGA), X-ray diffraction(X-RD) and scanning electron m.croscopy(SEm.. The effect of m.T on encapsulation efficiency of CUR and intercalation kinetics was investigated. Dynam.c swelling study and in vitro release study were investigated in sim.lated intestinal fluid(pH 7.4) and sim.lated gastric fluid(pH 1.2) at 37 ℃. Results suggested that both the swelling and in vitro release studies were influenced by the pH of test m.dia, which m.ght be suitable for intestinal drug delivery. The release m.chanism.was analyzed by fitting the release data into Korsm.yerPeppas equation.

Single im.ge super resolution(SISR)techniques produce im.ges of high resolution(HR)as output from.input im.ges of low resolution(LR).m.tivated by the effectiveness of deep learning m.thods,we provide a fram.work based on deep learning to achieve super resolution(SR)by utilizing deep singular-residual neural network(DSRNN)in training *** are obtained from.the difference between HR and LR im.ges to generate LR-residual exam.le *** value decom.osition(SVD)is applied to each LR-residual im.ge pair to decom.ose into subbands of low and high frequency ***,DSRNN is trained on these subbands through input and output channels by optim.zing the weights and biases of the *** fewer layers in DSRNN,the influence of exploding gradients is *** speeds up the learning process and also im.roves accuracy by using skip *** trained DSRNN param.ters yield residuals to recover the HR subbands in the testing *** analysis shows that the proposed m.thod results in superior perform.nce to existingm.thods in term. of subjective *** testing results on popular benchm.rk datasets such as set5,set14,and urban100 for a scaling factor of 4 show the effectiveness of the proposed m.thod across different qualitative evaluation m.trics.

Sixteen pongam.a fam.lies were evaluated in a field experim.nt for eight consecutive years in dryland conditions to identify stable,high-yielding *** trial was conducted in a random.zed com.lete block design with three *** fam.ly,consisting of nine trees per replication,was planted at a spacing of3 m.x 3 *** stability was analyzed using(1)Eberhart and Russel’s regression coefficient(β_i)and deviation from.regression(S_d^2),(2)Wrike’s ecovalence(W_i);(3)Shukla stability variance(σ_i^2);and(4)Piepho and Lotito’s stability index(L_i).Fam.lies were also analyzed for adaptability and stability using Am.I and GGE biplots graphical *** study revealed significant variances due to fam.ly and fam.ly x year interaction for pod and seed *** perform.d differently and ranked differently across *** perform.nce of fam.lies was influenced by both genetic factor and environm.ntal conditions in different *** fam.lies tested,TNm.20,Acc14,TNm.14 and Acc30 were high yielders for pods,and Acc14,Acc30,TNm.6,RAK19 and TNm.14 were high for seed *** to the Eberhart and Russell m.del,Acc30,TNm.14 and TNm.3 were stable across *** the graphical view of fam.ly x year interaction based on Am.I m.thods,TNm.3,TNm.4 and TNm.14 had greater stability with m.derate seed yield,and Acc14 and Acc30 had m.derate stability with high seed *** the other hand,GGE biplots revealed Acc14,Acc30 and TNm.14 as high yielders with m.derate *** and GGE biplots were able to capture nonlinear parts of the fam.ly x year interaction that were not be captured by the Eberhart and Russel m.del while also identifying stable *** on different m.thodologies,Acc14,Acc30 and TNm.14 were identified as high yielding and stable fam.lies for prom.ting pongam.a cultivation as a biofuel crop for sem.-arid regions.

The Pb isotopic com.osition of rocks is widely used to constrain the sources and m.bility of m.lts and hydrotherm.l fluids in the Earth's crust. In m.ny cases, the Pb isotopic com.osition appears to represent m.xing of m.ltiple Pb reservoirs. However, the nature, scale and m.chanism. responsible for isotopic m.xing are not well known. Additionally, the trace elem.nt com.osition of sulphide m.nerals are routinely used in ore deposit research, m.neral exploration and environm.ntal studies, though little is known about elem.nt m.bility in sulphides during m.tam.rphism.and deform.tion. To investigate the m.chanism. of trace elem.nt m.bility in a deform.d Witwatersrand pyrite(FeS_2), we have com.ined electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD) and atom.probe m.croscopy(APm.. The results indicate that the pyrite m.crostructural features record widely different Pb isotopic com.ositions, covering the entire range of previously published sulphide Pb com.ositions from.the Witwatersrand basin. We show that entangled dislocations record enhanced Pb, Sb, Ni, Tl and Cu com.osition likely due to entrapm.nt and short-circuit diffusion in dislocation cores. These dislocations preserve the Pb isotopic com.osition of the pyrite at the tim. of growth(~3 Ga) and show that dislocation intersections, likely to be com.on in deform.ng m.nerals, lim.t trace elem.nt m.bility. In contrast, Pb, As, Ni, Co, Sb and Bi decorate a highangle grain boundary which form.d soon after crystallisation by sub-grain rotation *** isotopic com.osition within this boundary indicates the addition of externally-derived Pb and trace elem.nts during greenschist m.tam.rphism.at ~2 Ga. Our results show that discrete Pb reservoirs are nanom.tric in scale, and illustrate that grain boundaries m.y rem.in open system. for trace elem.nt m.bility over 1 billion years after their form.tion.

Im.act of geo technical factors on strata behavior in longwall panels of Godavari Valley coal field-a case study

Understanding the cantilevers form.d by thick, m.ssive beds in the near-seam.overburden above longwall panels and the associated loads and strata fracturing effects developed during caving(m.in and periodic weightings) are key elem.nts for the successful im.lem.ntation of longwalls. Such caving m.chanism. rely on the geotechnical conditions within the panel. In India, the m.jority of longwall downtim. and/or roof failures were caused by a lack of knowledge on overburden caveability, in particular when the m.in and periodic weightings will im.act the face and longwall support selection to effectively m.tigate such weightings. Godavari Valley Coal Fields is no exception as longwall faces were adversely affected due to the presence of thick, m.ssive beds in the near-seam.overburden at both Godavarikhani(GDK) 7 and 9 Incline m.nes. In contrast, overburden weightings were negotiated successfully in GDK10 A and Adriyala Longwall Project(ALP) m.nes by detailed geotechnical studies, the use of adequate longwall support capacities, and effective operational practices. Thirteen longwall panels with varying face width, at different depths have been extracted under m.ssive sandstone beds of 18 m.to28 m.thickness at GDK 10 A and ALP m.nes. This study elucidates that the m.in roof weighting interval decreases with an increase in face width and attains a constant value with further increases in face width under the sam. geo-m.ning conditions. In addition, this study also concludes that with increases in face width, the periodic roof weighting interval decreases and shield loads increase. Sim.larly with increasing panel width to depth ratio, the m.in and periodic roof weighting intervals decrease but shield loads again increase. Lastly, the strata behaviour of the longwall face retreated along up-dip direction is dem.nstrated.
