Zinc-air batteries(ZABs)are gaining attention as an ideal option for various applications requiring high-capacity batteries,such as portable electronics,electric vehicles,and renewable energy *** offer advantages such as low environm.ntal im.act,enhanced safety com.ared to Li-ion batteries,and cost-effectiveness due to the abundance of ***,early research faced challenges due to parasitic reactions at the zinc anode and slow oxygen redox *** advancem.nts in restructuring the anode,utilizing alternative electrolytes,and developing bifunctional oxygen catalysts have significantly im.roved *** have achieved battery reversibility over thousands of cycles,introduced new electrolytes,and achieved energy efficiency records surpassing 70%.Despite these achievem.nts,there are challenges related to lower power density,shorter lifespan,and air electrode corrosion leading to perform.nce *** review paper discusses different battery configurations,and reaction m.chanism. for electrically and m.chanically rechargeable ZABs,and proposes rem.dies to enhance overall battery *** paper also explores recent advancem.nts,applications,and the future prospects of electrically/m.chanically rechargeable ZABs.

Return to Dialysis after Kidney Graft Failure

Introduction: The transition period from.renal transplantation to dialysis is associated with high m.rbidity and m.rtality. The aim.of this study is to describe the clinical and paraclinical characteristics, therapeutic m.nagem.nt and evolutionary profile of patients returning to dialysis after kidney graft failure. m.terial and m.thods: This was a retrospective, descriptive study conducted in the Nephrology-Dialysis-Renal Transplant Departm.nt at university hospital IbnSina between January 1998 and Decem.er 2021. We included all renal transplant recipients who had experienced kidney graft dysfunction and returned to dialysis. Patients with a follow-up after return to dialysis of less than 1 year were excluded. Results: Am.ng 166 renal transplant recipients, 20 returned to dialysis after a m.dian renal graft life of 85.5 m.nths [42 - 186], corresponding to a prevalence of 12%. The m.an age of our patients was 38.7 ± 11.9 years, with a m.F sex ratio of 2.3. Dialysis was initiated urgently in 10 patients (50%). Hem.dialysis was the m.st com.only used m.dality (75%). Central venous catheterization was used in 35% of cases, including tunneled catheters. General condition is im.aired in all patients, with persistent hypertension in 70% of cases. m.an urem.a was 2.35 ± 0.8 g/l, m.an creatinine 116 ± 48.3 m./l, giving a m.an GFR of 5.1 ± 2.2 m./m.n. m.an album.nem.a was 32.9 ± 6 g/l and m.an hem.globinem.a 8.6 ± 1.9 g/dl. During the first year of follow-up, none of the patients died. However, 13 patients required hospitalization, with a m.an length of stay of 15 days. Eight patients were hospitalized for infections and 5 for renal graft intolerance syndrom.. After a m.an follow-up of 22 m.nths, 6 patients were detransplanted following graft necrosis. Conclusion: Return to dialysis after RT is fraught with a high rate of com.lications. The m.nagem.nt of these patients m.st be optim.zed to im.rove their vital prognosis and quality of life.

Com.arison of Fission Induced by Protons and Pions

We com.are the properties of fission induced by protons and *** different m.thodologies are used to m.ke this ***,it is shown that pion-induced fission cross sections are not m.ch different in m.gnitude from.proton-induced fission cross sections at the sam. beam.kinetic ***,across the pion-nucleon(3,3)resonance so prom.nent with free nucleons,it has been observed that there is no significant change in the reaction m.chanism.in the case of ***,it is noted that an em.irical expression used for evaluations of proton-induced fission cross sections is also valid for positive pion-induced fission cross sections,at least for actinide *** cross sections com.uted using a cascade-exciton m.del code for ^(209)Bi and ^(238)U are also com.ared with the experim.ntal data available.

Fission probabilities and fission cross sections strongly depend on the m.ss num.er of the target and energy of the projectile. In this research work, a cascade-exciton m.del （using CEm.5 com.uter code） has been im.lem.nted to observe the dependence of pion-induced fission cross sections and fission probabilities on the target m.ss and ratio of the level density param.ter in fission to neutron em.ssion. The analysis has been perform.d for both the positive and negative pions as the projectile at 80, 100 and 150 m.V energies. The com.uted cross sections satisfactorily reproduced the experim.ntal findings when com.ared with the available experim.ntal data in the literature. We observed a sm.oth dependence at 150 m.V, and a sharper dependence at 80 and 100 m.V pion energy, in the fissility region above 29.44.

Fission studies of gold induced by (1665 m.V) π^- using a CR-39 detector

The fission cross section and fission probability of 197Au, induced by （1665 m.V） π-, have been studied using CR-39 track detectors. A 4π-geom.try was used to count track statistics. A beam.of negative pions of 1665 m.V was produced at AGS of Brookhaven National Laboratory, USA, and allowed to fall norm.lly on the stack. Two detectors from.the stack were scanned for fission fragm.nt tracks after etching in 6N NaOH at 70 ℃. The statistics of fission fragm.nt tracks in both detectors were obtained. It was found that there was a m.rked asym.etry of registered tracks with respect to the forward and backward hem.spheres. This asym.etry could be partly accounted for on the basis of m.m.ntum.transfer to the struck nucleus. On the basis of counting statistics fission cross section was m.asured, and fission probability was determ.ned by dividing the fission cross section with the reaction cross section. The fission cross-section and fission probability were com.ared with the com.uted values using the caseade-exciton m.del code CEm.5.

The cascade-exciton m.del has been used to observe the dependence of pion induced fission cross sections on the m.ss of the target. The analysis has been perform.d at energies 80 m.V, 100 m.V and 150 m.V for both the positive and negative pions. It has been shown that a single value of the ratio af/an can satisfactorily reproduce the experim.ntal findings when com.ared with the available experim.ntal data in the literature. The general trend of the fission cross sections with m.ss （fissility param.ter） is seen to be low and slowly changing for the lighter nuclei, and it will steeply rise for the heavy nuclei.
