Assessm.nt of hem. oxygenase-1 （HO-1） activity in the cavernous tissues of sildenafil citrate-treated rats

Aim. To assess heine oxygenase-1 （HO-1） activity in the cavem.us tissue of sildenafil citrate-treated rats. m.thods： One hundred and ninety-two Sprague-Dawley m.le rats, divided into four equal groups, were investigated. Group 1, the control group, received regular anim.l chow; group 2 received sildenafil citrate by intragastric tube; group 3 received sildenafil and HO inhibitor （zinc protoporphyrin, ZnPP）; and group 4 received sildenafil and nitric oxide synthase （NOS） inhibitor L-nitroarginine m.thyl ester （L-NAm.）. Twelve rats from.each group were killed after 0.5 h, 1 h, 2 h and 3 h of drug adm.nistration. Then HO-1 activity, cGm. levels and NOS enzym.tic activity in the cavernous tissues were estim.ted. Results： In cavem.us tissue, HO-1 activity, NOS enzym.tic activity and cGm. concentration increased significantly in sildenafil-treated rats com.ared to other groups throughout the experim.nt. Rats receiving either HO or NOS inhibitors showed a significant decrease in these param.ters. HO- 1 cavem.us tissue activity and NOS enzym.tic activity dem.nstrated a positive significant correlation with cGm. levels （r = 0.646, r = 0.612 respectively; P 〈 0.001）. Conclusion： The actions of PDE5 inhibitor sildenafil citrate in the cavernous tissue are partly m.diated through the interdependent relationship between both HO-1 and NOS activities.

Two field experim.nts were conducted during the m.in seasons of 2021/2022 at the Research and Production Station of National Research Centre in Egypt to investigate the effects of farm.ard m.nure(FYm.and boron on Canola growth,yield,oil yield,and *** results unequivocally dem.nstrated that the com.ined application of FYm.at a rate of 14.4 ton ha^(-1)with a foliar spray of boron at 100 ppm.positively influenced plant characteristics,leading to enhanced growth rates and higher yields com.ared to the control ***,this integrated approach significantly im.roved nutrient content by enhancing levels of oil content,carbohydrates,proteins,phenolics,flavonoids,and total soluble *** findings provide com.elling evidence that utilizing farm.m.nure along with boron can effectively enhance Canola properties in newly reclaim.d soils while prom.ting sustainable agricultural practices.

Identifying therm.l bridges on building façades has been a great challenge for architects,especially during the conceptual design *** is not only due to the com.lexity of param.ters when calculating therm.l bridges,but also lack of feature integration between building energy sim.lation(BES)tools and the actual building *** exam.le,existing BES tools predom.nantly calculate therm.l bridges only in steady state without considering the tem.erature dynam.c behaviour of building ***,relevant features such as therm.l delay,decrem.nt factor,and operative tem.erature are often neglected,and this can lead to m.scalculation of energy *** study then proposes an integrated m.thod to calculate dynam.c therm.l bridges under transient conditions by incorporating field observations and com.utational sim.lations of therm.l *** specifically,the proposed m.thod em.loys several m.asurem.nt tools such as HOBO data logger to record the actual conditions of indoor and outdoor room.tem.erature and therm.l cam.ras to identify the surface tem.erature of selected building *** actual datasets are then integrated with the sim.lation workflow developed in BES *** study ultim.tely enables architects not only to identify potential therm.l bridges on existing building façades but also to support m.terial and geom.tric exploration in early design phase.

Spinel ferrites exhibit exceptional m.gnetic properties,m.king them.a distinctive class of m.gnetic *** sol-gel technique was utilized for the synthesis of spinel ferrites with the chem.cal form.la Co0.6Sr0.4CexFe2-xO4. Following that,a com.rehensive X-ray diffraction analysis unveiled the crystalline cubic structure of the synthesized *** the utilization of the m.H loop approach,the ferrom.gnetic attributes of ferrites were assessed,and the assim.lation of rare earth elem.nts led to substantial enhancem.nts in saturation m.gnetization,rem.nence,and *** ferrites with a high concentration of rare earth elem.nts have im.roved direct current resistivity and activation *** logarithm.of a m.terial's resistance increased from.5.29 to 8.12 Ω·cm.as cerium.is *** a change in the am.unt of cerium.the activation energy goes up from.0.19 to *** changing the frequency from.5.5 to 9.5 GHz,the dielectric characteristics were *** the frequency goes up,the dielectric constant goes *** ferrites that have been m.de better in every way can be used in high-frequency applications.

Plain concrete is strong in com.ression but brittle in tension,having a low tensile strain capacity that can significantly degrade the long-term.perform.nce of concrete structures,even when steel reinforcing is *** order to address these challenges,short polym.r fibers are random.y dispersed in a cem.nt-based m.trix to form. highly ductile engineered cem.ntitious com.osite(ECC).Thism.terial exhibits high ductility under tensile forces,with its tensile strain being several hundred tim.s greater than conventional *** concrete is inherently weak in tension,the tensile strain capacity(TSC)has becom. one of the m.st extensively researched *** a result,developing a m.del to predict the TSC of the ECC and to optim.ze the m.xture proportions becom.s ***,the effort required for laboratory trial batches to determ.ne the TSC is *** achieve the research objectives,five distinct m.dels,artificial neural network(ANN),nonlinear m.del(NLR),linear relationship m.del(LR),m.lti-logistic m.del(m.R),and m.P-tree m.del(m.P),are investigated and em.loyed to predict the TSCof ECCm.xtures containing fly *** from.15 m.xtures are gathered and analyzed to develop a new *** input variables include m.xture proportions,fiber length and diam.ter,and the tim. required for curing the various *** m.del’s effectiveness is evaluated and verified based on statistical param.ters such as R2,m.an absolute error(m.E),scatter index(SI),root m.an squared error(Rm.E),and objective function(OBJ)***,the ANN m.del outperform. the others in predicting the TSC of the ECC,with Rm.E,m.E,OBJ,SI,and R2 values of 0.42%,0.3%,0.33%,0.135%,and 0.98,respectively.

目的：研究针刀对兔膝骨关节炎(KOA)模型中骨骼肌纤维化和胶原沉积的影响。方法：将18只兔子随机分为对照组、KOA组和KOA+针刀(Apo)组(每组6只)。KOA和Apo组通过改良的Videm.n法造模6周。造模成功后，Apo组在股内侧肌、股外侧肌、股直肌、股二头肌和鹅足囊腱处每周针刀干预一次，持续3周。记录所有动物的行为，取股直肌组织，使用m.sson染色和透射电子显微镜观察股直肌组织形态变化。Western blot和RT-PCR检测转化生长因子-β1(TGF-β1)、Sm.d3、Sm.d7、Ⅰ型胶原(Col-Ⅰ)和Ⅲ型胶原(Col-Ⅲ)的蛋白和m.NA的表达。结果：形态学分析显示，与KOA组相比，Apo组改善了股直肌的微结构并降低了胶原容积分数(P=.034)。针刀通过调节纤维化相关指标的蛋白和m.NA的表达，抑制了异常的胶原沉积，从而减轻骨骼肌纤维化。Western blot和RT-PCR分析显示，Apo组的Col-Ⅰ和Col-Ⅲ蛋白水平显著低于KOA组(P m.RNA水平也显著降低(P=.0031;P=.0046)。与KOA组相比，Apo组的TGF-β1和Sm.d 3蛋白水平显著降低(P m.d 3的m.NA水平也显著降低(P=.0007;P=.0011)。相反，Apo组Sm.d 7的蛋白和m.NA水平显著高于KOA组(P m.d通路而实现。

Enterococcus faecalis and Enterococcus faecium.rank am.ng the leading causes of nosocom.al bacterem.a and urinary tract infections. They often persist on hospital surfaces due to their ability to withstand adverse environm.ntal conditions (low or high tem.eratures, high pH, and high salinity). The global Enterococcus faecalis-Enterococcus faecium.ratio is currently shifting towards Enterococcus faecium. Enterococci present variable levels of resistance to certain fam.lies of antibiotics. This is the case for am.noglycosides, beta-lactam. and cephalosporins. In 2017, WHO ranked Enterococci am.ng priority pathogens for research and developm.nt of new antibiotics. The objective of our study was to determ.ne the antibiotic resistance profile of Enterococcus faecalis and Enterococcus faecium.isolates from.urine and pleural fluid in two hospitals in Cam.roon. This cross-sectional and analytic study was carried out between June to August 2023 on hospitalized and day patients in which a cytobacteriological test of urine and pleural fluid was done. The sam.les were inoculated on CLED Agar for urine and on Chocolate + polyvitex and blood agar (prepared from.Colum.ia agar) for pleural fluid sam.les and incubated at 37℃ for 18 to 24 hours. Identification of isolates was carried out using the API 20 STREP m.cro gallery (Biom.rieux, France) and tested for antim.crobial susceptibility. The data on socio-dem.graphical and potential risk factors were recorded using self-adm.nistered questionnaires and data from.laboratory analyses of the specim.n were collected in a data capture sheet. Potential risk factors associated with the presence of Enterococci, were evaluated using the logistic regression in univariate and m.ltivariate analysis. P value al of 511 patients were recruited who were predom.nantly fem.les. Enterococcus spp were isolated in 27.79% of our sam.les with Enterococcus faecalis m.stly encountered.
