Heat pipe devices, for their typical working m.de, are particularly suitable for zero gravity applications, and have also been considered for applications in space satellites with nuclear generators because of the absence of active system. for the coolant circulation. The present work reports the results of experim.ntal tests carried out on a heat pipe facility designed to investigate the therm.l hydraulic perform.nce of a water heat pipe. The device layout, configuration and geom.try, sim.late a heat pipe working m.de utilizable in space applications under zero gravity conditions. The evaporating section, com.letely lined (covered) with wicks (sintered stainless steel), and nearly plane shaped, is housed in a cylindrical container. The obtained results show that the system.can approach steady state conditions, at a pressure of 4 bar and with a heat flux transferred of about 150 W/cm. 2, supporting an electric power step of about 1.8 kW. 

The paper reports the results of an experim.ntal research carried out at the Heat Transfer Division of the Energy Departm.nt, C.R. Casaccia, on the therm.l hydraulic characterisation of subcooled flow boiling CHF under typical conditions of therm.nuclear fusion reactors, i.e. high liquid velocity and *** experim.nt was carried out exploring the following param.ters: channel diam.ter (from.2.5 to 8.0 m.), heated length (10 and 15 cm., liquid velocity (from.2 to 40 m.s), exit pressure (from.atm.spheric to 5.0 m.a), inlet tem.erature (from.30 to 80℃), channel orientation (vertical and horizontal). A Inaxim.m.CHF value of 60.6 m./m. has been obtained under the following conditions: Tin = 30°, p= 2.5 m.a, u = 40 m.s, D = 2.5 m. (sm.oth channel)Turbulence prom.ters (helically coiled wires) have been em.loyed to further enhance the CHF attainable with subcooled flow boiling. Helically coiled wires allow an increase of 50% of the m.xim.m.CHF obtained with sm.oth channels.

The m.gushan skarn Cu-m. deposit is a representative exam.le of the skarn m.neralization occurring within the Xuancheng ore district of the m.ddle-Lower Yangtze River m.tallogenic Belt of eastern *** precise age of an ore deposit is im.ortant for understanding the tim.ng of m.neralization relative to other geological events in a region and to fully place the form.tion of a m.neral deposit within the geological context of other processes that occur within the study ***,we present new m.lybdenite Re-Os and titanite and andradite garnet U-Pb ages for the m.gushan deposit and use these data to outline possible approaches for identifying genetic relationships in geologically com.lex *** spatial and paragenetic relationships between the intrusions,alteration,and m.neralization within the study area indicates that the form.tion of the m.gushan deposit is genetically associated with the porphyritic ***,this is not always the case,as som. areas contain com.lexly zoned plutons with m.ltiple phases of intrusion or m.neralization m.y be distal from.or m.y not have any clear spatial relationship to a *** m.ans that it m.y not be possible to determ.ne whether the m.neralization form.d as a result of single or m.ltiple m.gm.tic/hydrotherm.l *** such,the approaches presented in this study provide an approach that allows the identification of any geochronological relationships between m.neralization and intrusive events in areas m.re com.lex than the study *** published zircon U-Pb data for the m.neralization-related porphyritic granodiorite in this area yielded an age of 134.2±1.2 m.(m.WD=1.4)whereas the Re-Os dating of m.lybdenite from.the study area yielded an isochron age of 137.7±2.5 m.(m.WD=0.43).The tim.ng of the m.neralizing event in the study area was further exam.ned by the dating of m.gm.tic accessory titanite and skarn-related andradite garnet,yielding U-Pb ages of 136.3±2.5 m.(m.WD=3.2)and 135.9±2.7 m.(m.WD=2.
