One of the m.in tools for m.nitoring the condition of high voltage equipm.nt is the m.asurem.nt of partial discharges(PD).The electrom.gnetic(Em.radiation originated from.this degradation phenom.non can be captured by various types of ultra‐high fre-quency(UHF)antennas carefully designed and optim.sed for specific frequency ***,the presence of environm.ntal noise m.y lim.t the use of this *** types of m.nopole antennas norm.lly used in UHF PD m.asurem.nt have been evaluated in order to validate the perform.nce of a novel separation technique of Em.***,a new separation technique based on the energy ratio of the captured signals was developed,considering noise *** results revealed that the new technique allows an adequate separation,even when three sources act sim.ltaneously.

High refractive index dielectric nanoantennas strongly m.dify the decay rate via the Purcell effect through the design of radiative *** to their dielectric nature,the field is m.inly confined inside the nanostructure and in the gap,which is hard to probe with scanning probe *** we use single-m.lecule fluorescence lifetim. im.ging m.croscopy(sm.LIm.to m.p the decay rate enhancem.nt in dielectric GaP nanoantenna dim.rs with a m.dian localization precision of 14 *** m.asure,in the gap of the nanoantenna,decay rates that are alm.st 30 tim.s larger than on a glass *** com.aring experim.ntal results with num.rical sim.lations we show that this large enhancem.nt is essentially radiative,contrary to the case of plasm.nic nanoantennas,and therefore has great potential for applications such as quantum.optics and biosensing.

A new configuration of a resonant full-bridge flying capacitor m.lticell inverter has been designed and constructed with the aim.of achieving an extended output voltage frequency range with low harm.nic distortion and reduced sem.conductor com.utation losses. This configuration was tested as a power supply for two different coaxial dielectric barrier discharge reactors, one of them.em.loyed for electric characterization and the other one for inorganic com.ound elim.nation in an aqueous solution. Two different gas m.xtures, 90% Ar-10% 02 and 80% Ar-20% 02, were individually supplied during the experim.nts; the results showed a high- efficiency rem.val of m.ta-cresol （m.cresol） to the order of 98%, which was obtained by adding m.re oxygen to the plasm. gas m.xture.

Crohn's disease is a chronic inflam.atory disorder of the gastrointestinal tract that is defi ned by relapsing and rem.tting episodes. Tum.r necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) appears to play a central role in the pathophysiology of the disease. Standard therapies for inflam.atory bowel disease fail to induce rem.ssion in about 30% of patients. Biological therapies have been associated with an increased incidence of infections, especially infection by m.cobacterium.tuberculosis (m.b). Thalidom.de is an oral im.unom.dulatory agent with anti-TNF-α properties. Recent studies have suggested that thalidom.de is effective in refractory lum.nal and fistulizing Crohn's disease. Thalidom.de costim.lates T lym.hocytes, with greater effect on CD8+ than on CD4+ T cells, which contributes to the protective im.une response to m.b infection. We present a case of Crohn's disease with gastric, ileal, colon and rectum.involvem.nt as well as steroid dependency, which progressed with loss of response to inflixim.bafter three years of therapy. The thorax com.uted tom.graphy scan dem.nstrated a pulm.nary nodule suspected to be m.b infection. The patient was started on thalidom.de therapy and exhibited an excellent response.

Trace elem.nts, isotopic m.deling and U-Th-Pb SHRIm. zircon age constraints are used to reconstruct the eruption history and m.gm.tic processes of the Piedra Parada Caldera. In the early Eocene, the crystal-poor Barda Colorada ignim.rite(BCI), having >>15% m.cro-porphyritic crystals with respect to m.gm.tic com.onents, erupted a volum. estim.ted in m.re than 300 km.3. The Piedra Parada caldera is located in the Patagonian Andes foreland, at the southern end of the calderas field of the Pilcaniyeu Volcanic Belt(PVB). This belt is related to an extensional tectonic setting as a result of the collision of the Farallon-Aluk ridge with South Am.rica, which enabled the developm.nt of a transform.ocean/continental plate m.rgin followed by the detachm.nt of the Aluk plate and the opening of a slab window. The BCI extra-caldera Plateau is a >100 m.thick deposit, having a lower unit with high silica(Si O_2> 76 wt.%),potassium.poor rhyolitic com.osition(trondhjem.tic like m.gm.), and an upper unit with norm.l to high potassium.rhyolitic com.osition(granitic like m.gm.). A trace elem.nts m.deling of the BCI units shows that the BCI lower and upper units did not evolve from.fractionation or im.iscibility in the shallow m.gm. reservoir. The BCI also have a prim.tive isotopic signature(initial87 Sr/86 Sr =0.7031-0.7049 and ε_(Nd)= +3.4 to +3.65). Thus, tectonic, com.ositional and isotopic constraints suggest the fast ascent of high silica m.gm.s to a shallow reservoir, and point to an upper m.ntle origin for these rhyolitic m.gm.s in a transitional(Orogenic-Anorogenic) tectono-m.gm.tic setting. U-Th-Pb SHRIm. zircon crystallization ages of the Syn-caldera stage BCI units(56 -51.5 m.) show a protracted life of 5 m. for this caldera reservoir. The age of 52.9 ± 0.3 m. is considered the best fit for the possible m.xim.m.age for the caldera collapse. Cell-suspension cultures（Zea m.ys L.,Black m.xican sweet corn） habituated to 2,6-dichlorobenzonitrile（DCB） survive with reduced cellulose owing to hem.cellulose network m.dification. We aim.d to de fine the hem.cellulose m.tabolism.m.difications in DCB-habituated m.ize cells showing a m.ld reduction in cellulose at different stages in the culture cycle. Using pulse-chase radiolabeling, we fed habituated and non-habituated cultures with [3H]arabinose,and traced the distribution of 3H-pentose residues between xylans, xyloglucans and other polym.rs in several cellular com.artm.nts for 5 h. Habituated cells were slower taking up exogenous [3H]arabinose. Tritium.was incorporated into polysaccharide-bound arabinose and xylose residues, but habituated cells diverted a higher proportion of their new [3H]xylose residues into（hetero） xylans at the expense of xyloglucan synthesis. During logarithm.c growth, habituated cells showed slower vesicular traf ficking of polym.rs,especially xylans. m.reover, habituated cells showed a decrease in the strong wall-binding of all pentose-containing polysaccharides studied; correspondingly, especially in log phase cultures, habituation increased the proportion of 3H-hem.celluloses（[3H]xylans and [3H]xyloglucan） sloughed into the m.dium. These findings could be related to the cel walls’ cellulose-deficiency, and consequent reduction in binding sites for hem.celluloses; the data could also re fl ect the habituated cells’ reduced capacity to integrate arabinox ylans by extra-protoplasm.c phenolic cross-linking, as well as xyloglucans, during wall assem.ly.

De novo neoplasm. account for alm.st 30% of deaths 10 years after liver transplantation and are the m.st com.on cause of m.rtality in patients surviving at least 1 year after transplant. The risk of m.lignancy is two to four tim.s higher in transplant recipients than in an age- and sex-m.tched population, and cancer is expected to surpass cardiovascular com.lications as the prim.ry cause of death in transplanted patients within the next 2 decades. Since exposure to im.unosuppression is associated with an increased frequency of developing neoplasm. long-term.im.unosuppression should be therefore m.nim.zed. Prom.sing results in the prevention of hepatocellular carcinom.(HCC) recurrence have been reported with the use of m.TOR inhibitors including everolim.s and sirolim.s and the ongoing open-label prospective random.zed controlled SILVER. Study will provide m.re inform.tion on whether sirolim.s-containing vs m.TOR-inhibitorfree im.unosuppression is m.re efficacious in reducing HCC recurrence.
