São Paulo State has witnessed CO_(2)storage-b.sed investigations considering the availab.lity of suitab.e geologic structures and proxim.ty to prim.ry CO_(2)source sinks related to b.oenergy and carb.n capture and storage(b.CCS)*** current study presents the hydrocarb.n viab.lity evaluations and CO_(2)storage prospects,focusing on the sandstone units of the Rio b.nito *** ob.ective is to apply petrophysical evaluations with geochem.cal inputs in predicting future hydrocarb.n(gas)production to b.ost CO_(2)storage within the study *** study used data from.eleven wells with associated wireline logs(gam.a ray,resistivity,density,neutron,and sonic)to predict potential hydrocarb.n accum.lation and fluid m.b.lity in the investigated *** sam.les(shale and carb.nate)ob.ained from.depths>200 m.within the study location have shown b.tum.n *** geochem.stry data of the Rio b.nito Form.tion shale b.ds suggest they are potential hydrocarb.n source rocks and could have contrib.ted to the gas accum.lations within the sandstone *** drilled well data,e.g.,Cb.1-SP and TI-1-SP,show hydrocarb.n(gas)presence b.sed on the typical resistivity and the com.ined neutron-density responses at depths up to 3400 m.indicating the possib.lity of other hydrocarb.n m.m.ers apart from.the heavy oil(b.tum.n)ob.erved from.the near-surface rocks *** the three-dim.nsional(3-D)m.del,the free fluid indicator(FFI)is m.re significant towards the southwest and southeast of the area with deeper depths of occurrence,indicating portions with reasonab.e hydrocarb.n recovery rates and good prospects for CO_(2)injection,circulation and perm.nent ***,future studies b.sed on contem.orary datasets are required to estab.ish the hydrocarb.n viab.lity further,foster gas production events,and enhance CO_(2)storage possib.lities within the region.

Com.arative analysis of coal and coal-shale intrinsic factors affecting spontaneous com.ustion

Coal and coal-shales tend to undergo spontaneous com.ustion under favourab.e atm.spheric conditions. Spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity index and intrinsic properties of coals and coal-shales varies b.tween （ab.ve and b.low） coal seam.. The spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity index （ob.ained from.the Wits-Ehac Index） and intrinsic properties （ob.ained from.proxim.te, ultim.te, and petrographic analysis） of fourteen sam.les representative of in situ coal （b.tum.nous） and fourteen coal-shales ob.ained in Witb.nk coalfield, South Africa were experim.ntally studied. Com.arative analysis of the relationships b.tween the spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity index and intrinsic properties of coals and coalshales were estab.ished to evaluate their effects on self-heating potential. The intrinsic properties show linear relationship with spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity and therefore, identifies the factors affecting spontaneous com.ustion of these m.terials. The influence of coal-shales intrinsic properties towards spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity shows higher correlation coefficients than the coals. b.th coals and coal-shales show inertinite m.ceral as m.jor constituents than the vitrinite and liptinite m.cerals, hence the reactivity of inertinite m.cerals m.y show greater influence on spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity. A definite positive or negative trends exists b.tween the intrinsic properties and spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity index. This research is part of a larger project which is considering the influence of intrinsic properties of coals and coal-shales on spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity.

This paper presents predictive m.dels to determ.ne spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity of carb.naceous m.terials （coals and coal-shales） using statistical analysis. The intrinsic properties and spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity index were determ.ned b. testing 14 coals and 14 coal-shales from.Witb.nk coalfields, South Africa. The relationship b.tween these intrinsic properties （ob.ained from.proxim.te, ultim.te and petrographic analysis） and spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity indices （the Wits-Ehac Index and Wits-CT Index） were estab.ished. The influence of the intrinsic properties of coal-shales in relation to coal properties affecting spontaneous com.ustion has b.en estab.ished using a statistical m.thod. The linear regression analysis indicates b.tter linear relationships b.tween som. of the selected intrinsic properties and spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity index and thus, identifies the m.jor intrinsic factors affecting their liab.lity toward spontaneous com.ustion. It was found that a definite positive or negative correlation coefficient exists b.tween the intrinsic factors and spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity. A set of m.dels to predict the spontaneous com.ustion liab.lity was derived. The b.st significant correlation along with the m.st appropriate m.del as indicated b. R-squared values, the coefficient of corre- lations and standard error was used to predict the incident of spontaneous com.ustion.

Long-term.outcom.s of urethral b.lloon dilation for anterior urethral stricture: A prospective cohort study

Ob.ective:To prospectively follow up a cohort of anterior urethral stricture disease patients m.naged with b.lloon dilation(b.)for 3 years to evaluate the long-term.outcom.s and to study factors that contrib.te to ***:This study included m.n who had urethral b. for significant anterior urethral stricture disease b.tween January 2017 and m.rch *** ab.ut the patient age,stricture characteristics,and recurrence date were recorded,along with inform.tion on postoperative indwelling catheter use and operative ***,inform.tion ab.ut the self-calib.ation procedure was collected and where availab.e,free flow(FF)m.asurem.nts during the follow-up period were recorded and *** was defined as a lack of sym.tom. and acceptab.e FF rates(m.xim.m.flow rate>12 m./s).Results:The final analysis was conducted on 187 *** m.an follow-up period was 37 *** long-term.overall success rate at the end of our study was 66.8%.Our recurrence rate was 7.4%at 12 m.nths,24.7%at 24 m.nths,and reached 33.2%at the end of our *** tim. to recurrence ranged from.91 days to 1635 days,with a m.an of 670 *** stricture-free survival was significantly shorter with lengthy peno-b.lb.r(p=0.031)and m.ltiple strictures(p=0.015),and in the group of patients who were not com.itted to self-calib.ation protocol(pb.ation was the m.st im.ortant factor that m.y have decreased the incidence of recurrence(odds ratioZ5.85).Adjuvant self-calib.ation after b. not only reduced the recurrence rate from.85.4%in the non-self-calib.ation group to 15.1%in the self-calib.ation one(pb.t also im.roved the overall stricture-free survival and FF param.ters.

Ob.ective: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition of insufficient penile erection, consistently or recurrently, for sexual activity. Tum.r necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) induces transform.ng growth factor-b.ta (TGF-β), which causes the transition of epithelial cells into m.senchym.l cells that affect ED. This study aim.d to evaluate the roles of TNF-α, TGF-β, degree of lower urinary tract sym.tom., and prostatic volum. for the presence of ED in b.nign prostatic hyperplasia (b.H) ***: Our study perform.d an analytic ob.ervational retrospective cohort study using secondary data from.four hospitals in b.li, Indonesia, including m.dical records and other adm.nistrative data. The sam.le was b.H patients with several history ***: Our sam.le was 83 respondents, ranging from.50 years to 80 years, 61 respondents with ED and 22 with non-ED. The International Prostate Sym.tom.Score showed a significant result, which indicates that ED is m.re com.on in patients with higher International Prostate Sym.tom.Score (p=0.002). m.reover, the TNF-α of ≥43.9 pg/m. and TGF-β of ≥175.8 pg/m. were significantly associated with the presence of ED in b.H patients (pm. is not significant with ED (p=0.947).Conclusion: TNF-α, TGF-β, and lower urinary tract sym.tom. severity can predict the occurrence of ED in b.H, while prostatic volum. was not significant.
