Despite extensive investigation, the pathophysiology of hum.n inflam.atory bo wel disease (IBD) rem.ins incom.letely understood. We exam.ned the existence of oxidative and nitrosative stress and also alterations in epiderm.l growth factor (EGF) secretion in saliva of IBD patients. Saliva sam.les were obtained from.30 nonsm.king IBD patients including 16 Crohn’ s disease (CD) pat ients and 16 ulcerative colitis (UC) patients and 16 age- and sex- m.tched co ntrols. Sam.les were analyzed for thiobarbituric reactive substances (TBARS) as a m.rker of lipid peroxidation, ferric reducing ability (antioxidant power), and EGF and nitric oxide (NO) levels. Saliva TBARS levels increased significantly ( P m.arison to that of healthy subjects. NO levels increased in saliva of both CD and UC patients in com.ariso n to that of healthy subjects. It is concluded that excessive NO production is p resent in saliva of both CD and UC patients but only saliva of CD patients is ox idatively stressed. EGF secretion is norm.l in UC patients, although CD patients show a significant increase in salivary EGF levels.

Accum.lation and losses of soil organic carbon(SOC),total nitrogen(TN)and sulphur(S)influence food security and global ***,their spatial distribution and variability at regional scale,and their relation to topographical variables are of great *** this study,the variability of SOC,TN and S content was evaluated in apple orchard soils of Kashm.r region,at three depths(D1:0-10,D2:10-20,and D3:20-30 cm.on slope gradient i.e.:flat,m.dium.and *** an increase in slope,a significant decrease of SOC and TN was observed,with concentration of SOC and TN recorded highest(14.3±2.06 g kg-1&0.97±0.35 g kg-1)in flat slope orchards and lowest(9.6±2.07 g kg-1&0.84±0.41 g kg-1)in high slope *** stock basis,the values recorded for flat,m.dium.and high slope orchards,for SOC and TN were 54.62±4.24 m. ha-1&0.38±0.06 m. ha-1,44.13±5.11 m. ha-1&0.32±0.09 m. ha-1,and 38.73±5.94 m. ha-1&0.28±0.10,*** differences for S concentration and stocks were m.dest,with flat(0.21±0.15 m. kg-1&0.09±0.0.003 m. ha-1)>high(0.16±0.07 m. kg-1&0.06±0.007 m. ha-1)>m.dium.0.12±0.04 m. kg-1&0.075±0.009 m. ha-1).Across slopes,SOC,TN and S decreased with increasing soil depth,suggesting clear downward ***,SOC and TN increased with the increase of altitude,precipitation and clay content while its relationship with soil acidity and soil bulk density was *** findings m.y provide scientific basis to structure agricultural developm.nt plans or prioritize regions for soil conservation efforts.

Tim. dom.in dynam.c analysis of inclined dam.reservoir-foundation interaction was conducted using finite difference m.thod （FDm.. The Tim.shenko beam.theory and the Euler-Bem.ulli beam.theory were im.lem.nted to draw out governing equation of beam. The interactions between the dam.and the soil were m.deled by using a translational spring and a rotational spring. A Som.erfeld＇s radiation condition at the infinity boundary of the fluid dom.in was adopted. The effects of the reservoir bottom.absorption and surface waves on the dam.reservoir-foundation interaction due to the earthquake were studied. To avoid the instability of solution, a sem.-im.licit schem. was used for the discretization of the governing equation of dam.and an explicit schem. was used for the discretization of the governing equation of fluid. The results show that as the slope of upstream.dam.increases, the hydrodynam.c pressure on the dam.is reduced. m.reover, when the Tim.shenko beam.theory is used, the system.response increases.

The influence of the m.thod of barley inclusion(fine,coarse and whole barley)in a wheat-based diet and protease supplem.ntation(0 and 0.20 g/kg)on growth perform.nce,nutrient utilisation and gastrointestinal tract developm.nt of broilers(d 1 to 21)was evaluated in a 32 factorial *** barley(WB)grains were ground in a ham.er m.ll to pass through the screen sizes of 2.5 and 8.0 m. to achieve fine(FB)and coarse(CB)barley particle sizes,respectively.A total of 288,one-day-old m.le broilers were allotted to 36 cages(6 cages/treatm.nt;8 birds/cage).There was no significant(P>0.05)interaction between barley inclusion m.thod and protease for any growth perform.nce or nutrient utilisation *** fed diets containing CB and WB showed higher(Pm.tter,nitrogen,calcium.gross energy,and ileal digestible energy com.ared to those fed FB *** to the birds fed FB diets,feed per gain was lower(Pm.de of *** digestibility of the birds fed CB was higher(P0.05)on growth perform.nce and nutrient utilisation,m.st likely due to the well balanced digestible am.no acids and high inherent digestibility of protein in the basal diet,and/or the presence of exogenous carbohydrase and *** conclusion,the present results showed that the inclusion of coarsely ground and whole barley in a wheat-based diet can enhance nutrient and energy utilisation and is beneficial to the growth perform.nce of young broilers.

AIm.To investigate the efficacy of probiotics in irritable bowel syndrom.(IBS) ***:Pub m.d,Cochrane library,Scopus,Google Scholar,and *** databases were searched for literature published between Septem.er 2007 and Decem.er *** applied m.sh term. were "probiotics," "irritable bowel syndrom.," and "irritable bowel syndrom. treatm.nt." The collected data contained24 clinical trials,of which 15 were eligible for m.ta-analysis and nine were reviewed *** studies were random.zed placebo-controlled trials in patients with IBS that investigated the efficacy of probiotics in IBS *** Jadad score was used to assess the m.thodological quality of *** quality scale ranges from.0 to 5 points,with a score ≤ 2 indicating a low quality report,and a score of ≥3 indicating a high quality *** risk(RR),standardized effect size,and 95%CI were calculated using the Der Sim.nian-Laird *** Cochran Q test was used to test heterogeneity with P m.zum.ar tests were perform.d to assess publication ***:A total of 1793 patients were included in the *** RR of responders to therapies based on abdom.nal pain score in IBS patients for two included trials com.aring probiotics to placebo was 1.96(95%CI:1.14-3.36;P = 0.01).RR of responders to therapies based on a global sym.tom.score in IBS patients for two included trials com.aring probiotics with placebo was 2.43(95%CI:1.13-5.21;P = 0.02).For adequate im.rovem.nt of general sym.tom. in IBS patients,the RR of seven included trials(six studies) com.aring probiotics with placebo was 2.14(95%CI:1.08-4.26;P = 0.03).Distension,bloating,and flatulence were evaluated using an IBS severity scoring system.in three trials(two studies) to com.are the effect of probiotic therapy in IBS patients with placebo,the standardized effect size of m.an differences for probiotics therapy was-2.57(95%CI:-13.05--7.92)

The aim.of this study is to apply process m.neralogy as a practical tool for further understanding and predicting the flotation kinetics of the copper sulfide m.nerals. The m.nerals' com.osition and association, grain distribution, and liberation within the ore sam.les were analyzed in the feed, concentrate, and the tailings of the flotation processes with two pulp densities of 25 wt% and 30 wt%. The m.jor copper-bearing m.nerals identified by m.croscopic analysis of the concentrate sam.les included chalcopyrite(56.2 wt%), chalcocite(29.1 wt%),covellite(6.4 wt%), and bornite(4.7 wt%). Pyrite was the m.in sulfide gangue m.neral(3.6 wt%) in the concentrates. A 95% degree of liberation with d_(80) > 80 μm.was obtained for chalcopyrite as the m.in copper m.neral in the ore sam.le. The recovery rate and the grade in the concentrates were enhanced with increasing chalcopyrite particle size. Chalcopyrite particles with a d_(80) of approxim.tely 100 μm.were recovered at the early stages of the flotation process. The kinetic studies showed that the kinetic second-order rectangular distribution m.del perfectly fit the flotation test data. Characterization of the kinetic param.ters indicated that the optim.m.granulation distribution range for achieving a m.xim.m.flotation rate for chalcopyrite particles was between the sizes 50 and 55 μm.

In this paper,the effect of various electrochem.cal environm.nts in the galena flotation is *** electrochem.cal environm.nts consisted of a ball m.ll for grinding of galena ore and a Denver flotation cell for flotation of galena in the laboratory *** order to achieve the m.xim.m.recovery with sodium.hyposulfite,the concentrations of 0.06 and 0.12 m.of air and nitrogen gases have been used to control the pulp potential in the Denver flotation *** galena sam.le was from.the ''Era m.ne'' which is located in the Kiyasar area,north of *** m.ne contains:Galena(PbS) at least 22%,Fluorite(CaF 2) 73.37%,Quartz(SiO 2) 2.54% and other m.nerals such as Cerussite(PbCO 3) and Kaolinite(Al 2 Si 2 O 5(OH) 4).Flotation of Galena was conducted in a 0.12 m.of sodium.hyposulfite *** was found that the am.unt of recovery by this process was 85% and 63% in the presence and absence of potassium.am.l xanthate(KAX) and at an estim.ted potential of 280 to 350 m. respectively while the recovery was 70% and 52% at an approxim.te potential of 175 to 210 m. in water in the presence and absence of collector(KAX).
