This paper deals with robust direct power control of a grid-connected bm.hless doubly-fed induction generator（BDFIG）. Using a nonlinear feedback lineariza- tion strategy, an attem.t is m.de to im.rove the desired perform.nces by controlling the generated stator active and reactive power in a linear and decoupled m.nner. There- fore, to achieve this objective, the Lyapunov approach is used associated with a sliding m.de control to guarantee the global asym.totical stability. Thus, an optim.l operation of the BDFIG in sub-synchronous operation is obtained as well as the stator power flows with the possibility of keeping stator power factor at a unity. The proposed m.thod is tested with the m.tlab/Sim.link software. Sim.lation results illustrate the perform.nces and the feasibility of the designed control.

The corona virus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandem.c has resulted in m.st nations deciding upon self-isolation and social distancing policies for their citizens to control the pandem.c and reduce hospital *** review aim.d at evaluating the effect of physical activity on m.ntal well-being during the COVID-19 *** was concluded that the COVID-19 pandem.c m.y lead to augm.nted levels of angiotensin-converting enzym.(ACE)-2 that led to cardiovascular and neurological disorders associated with highly inflam.atory effects of viral infection affecting the brain tissues leading to dam.ge of the nervous system.and resulting in cognition dysfunction,insulin sensitivity reduction,and behavioral *** and depression m.y lead to negative effects on various quality of life dom.ins,such as being physically *** physical activities m.y reduce inflam.atory responses,im.rove ACE-2 responses,and im.rove m.ntal well-being during self-isolation and social distancing policies related to the COVID-19 *** studies should be conducted to assess the different intensities of physical activities on cardiovascular function,and m.ntal well-being during the COVID-19 pandem.c.

Background: Cadm.um.is a heavy m.tal having toxic effects on m.st organ system. of the body. Objectives: We aim.to investigate the postulated protective properties of olive oil in Cadm.um.induced renal toxicity in m.ce by utilizing standard biom.rkers of renal toxicity, oxidative stress and histopathological characterization. m.terials and m.thods: Forty m.ce were random.y divided into four groups of 10 m.ce each. Group 1 served as control group, group 2 was given Extra-virgin olive oil orally, group 3 was given Cadm.um.chloride and group 4 was given Cadm.um.chloride with Extra-virgin olive oil. At the end of the experim.ntal period, biochem.cal analysis histopathology of kidney was done. Results: The present study depicted that blood urea, serum.creatinine and the antioxidant m.rkers (Superoxide dism.tase, Glutathione peroxidase and Catalase) levels were significantly increased in group 3 com.ared to group 1 and 2. After adm.nistration of Extra-virgin olive oil with Cadm.um.in group 4, the levels of those m.rkers significantly im.roved. Histopathology of the renal tissue showed severe dam.ge of glom.ruli, severely congested blood vessels and m.rked dilatation of Bowm.n’s capsule in group 3 with im.rovem.nts of these changes in group 4. Conclusion: This study suggests that Extra-virgin olive oil can be used as a cost effective safe anti-oxidative agent in the prevention of Cadm.um.toxicity.

Several m.difications in CA-4 were reported in literature for the developm.nt of various tubulin inhibitors. In our study, twenty-two newly synthesized heterocyclic derivatives of Com.retastatin A-4 (CA-4) have been tested for their cytotoxic effect on four different types of cells with m.lignant behavior using CA-4 as a positive control. Com.ounds 5b, 15 and 16 showed the forem.st potent antiproliferative activities as com.ared to CA-4 with IC50 starting from.6.9 to 13.7 μm. m.lecular docking was perform.d with the crystal structure of tubulin em.loying a potent tubulin inhibitor CA-4 as a parent m.lecule. m.lecular study advised that 5b, 15, 16 and 17 are prom.sing tubulin inhibitors.

AIm. To study the clinical presentation of Budd-Chiari syndrom.(BCS) and identify the aetiologies of this disease in Algeria. m.THODS: Patients with BCS, hospitalised in our unit from.January 2004 until June 2010 were included and the aetiological factors were assessed. Patients presenting a BCS in the setting of advanced-stage cirrhosis or a liver transplantation were excluded from.the study. The diagnosis was established when an obstruction of hepatic venous outflow(throm.osis, stenosis or com.ression) was dem.nstrated. We diagnosed m.eloproliferative disease(m.D) by bone m.rrow biopsy and V617 F JAK2 m.tation. Anti-phospholipid syndrom.(APLS) was detected by the presence of anticardiolipin antibodies, anti-β2 glycoprotein antibodies and Lupus anticoagulant. We also detected paroxysm.l nocturnal haem.globinuria(PNH) by flow cytom.try. Celiac disease and Behcet disease were system.tically investigated in our patients. Hereditary anticoagulant protein deficiencies were also assessed. We tested our patients for the G20210 A m.tation at Beaujon Hospital. Im.ging procedures were perform.d to determ.ne a local cause of BCS, such as a hydatid cyst or a liver ***: One hundred and fifteen patients were included. m.an follow up: 32.12 m.. m.an age: 34.41 years, m.F = 0.64. Chronic presentation was frequent:63.5%. The revealing sym.tom. for the BCS were ascites(74.8%) and abdom.nal pain(42.6%). The m.st com.on site of throm.osis was the hepatic veins(72.2%). Involvem.nt of the inferior vena cava alone was observed in 3 patients. According to the radiological investigations, BCS was prim.ry in 94.7% of the cases(n = 109) and secondary in 5.2%(n = 6). An aetiology was identified in 77.4% of the patients(n = 89); it was m.ltifactorial in 27%(n = 31). The predom.nant aetiology of BCS in our patients was a m.eloproliferative disease, observed in 34.6% of cases. APLS was found in 21.7% and celiac disease in 11.4%.
