Calix[n]arenes was utilized to detect PABA,the primary sunscreen *** study investigates the interaction of calix[4]arene(C4),calix[6]arene(C6),and PABA using the Langmuir method and first-principle density functional theory(DFT).Using the Langmuir-Schaefer(LS)technique,an ultrathin film composed of calix[n]arenes and their complexes with PABA was deposited on various *** on the Langmuir study,the PABA molecule was bonded to the lower rims of both C4 and C6 with the host-guest ratio of 1:*** of the LS films formed were then characterized by ultravioletvisible spectroscopy(UV-Vis),Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and carbon,hydrogen,nitrogen,sulfur elemental analyzer(CHNS).The band gap reduction obtained in the DFT study denotes the charge transfer interaction with promising reactivity between the calix[n]arenes and *** sensing of PABA by C4 and C6 is successful based on the formation of bonding between them due to the hosts’effective trapping *** outcomes of this study could be applied to drug delivery systems for future pharmaceutical and medical applications.

The extended Brinkman Darcy model for momentum equations and an energy equation is used to calculate the unsteady natural convection Couette flow of a viscous incompressible heat generating/absorbing fluid in a vertical channel （formed by two infinite vertical and parallel plates） filled with the fluid-saturated porous medium. The flow is triggered by the asymmetric heating and the accelerated motion of one of the bounding plates. The governing equations are simplified by the reasonable dimensionless parameters and solved analytically by the Laplace transform techniques to obtain the closed form solutions of the velocity and temperature profiles. Then, the skin friction and the rate of heat transfer are consequently derived. It is noticed that, at different sections within the vertical channel, the fluid flow and the temperature profiles increase with time, which are both higher near the moving plate. In particular, increasing the gap between the plates increases the velocity and the temperature of the fluid, however, reduces the skin friction and the rate of heat transfer.

With special drilling operation equipment and specific conditions of geology, how does drilling fluid carry cuttings effectively? So far, it is still an urgent problem for drilling researchers to study. This work just aims at the actual engineering background to develop studying model. In this paper, according to non Newtonian fluid mechanics, the law of the solid liquid, two phase fluid flow and actual drilling engineering, the major factors affecting cuttings transport are drilling fluid velocity, hole inclination and fluid rheological properties. Getting a clear understanding of the law of drilling fluid and its cutting taking mechanism, this paper puts forward a model for analysis of field data and quantitative forecast of cutting taking capability of drilling fluid. The full scale annular test section was 6.1 m with 76 and 114 mm drillpipe in a 203 mm ID (wellbore diameter). Hole angle varied from 0° to 90°.

In this paper, the approximate solution to the linear fredholm-stieltjes integral equations of the second kind （LFSIESK） by using the generalized midpoint rule （GmR） is introduced. A comparison resu｜ts depending on the number of subintervals ＂n＂ are calculated by using maple 18 and presented. These results are demonstrated graphically in a particular numerical example. An algorithm of this application is given by using maple 18.

The study was conducted to determine the concentrations of heavy metals (Cu, Zn, Co, mn, Fe, Cr, Cd and Pb) in the liver, kidney and flesh of Cattle, Sheep and Goats from Anka and Bukkuyum Local Government areas of Zamfara State Nigeria. The levels of heavy metals in the liver, kidney and flesh of beef, mutton and caprine ranged from 56 to 549 μg·g-1 for Zn;109 to 576 μg·g-1 for Fe;0.0 to 4.0 μg·g-1 for Pb;2.52 to 13.25 μg·g-1 for mn;0.00 to 19.64 μg·g-1 for Cr;0.00 to 0.25 μg·g-1 for Cd;0.00 to 2.71 μg·g-1 for Co and 3.59 to 538 μg·g-1 for Cu. The concentration of Cr, Pb and mn in the kidneys and livers of the samples were observed to be higher than the maximum allowable level. Similarly, the exception of Cr in the liver of sheep and goat from Anka and liver of sheep from Bukkuyum, Pb in some liver and kidney samples and mn in some liver, kidney samples and flesh of cattle from Anka were found to be polluted and hence unsafe for consumption.

With increasing complexity of today’s electromagnetic problems, the need and opportunity to reduce domain sizes, memory requirement, computational time and possibility of errors abound for symmetric domains. With several competing computational methods in recent times, methods with little or no iterations are generally preferred as they tend to consume less computer memory resources and time. This paper presents the application of simple and efficient markov Chain monte Carlo (mCmC) method to the Laplace’s equation in axisymmetric homogeneous domains. Two cases of axisymmetric homogeneous problems are considered. Simulation results for analytical, finite difference and mCmC solutions are reported. The results obtained from the mCmC method agree with analytical and finite difference solutions. However, the mCmC method has the advantage that its implementation is simple and fast.

In order to overcome all encapsulation variations during a complex coacervation process, the replacement of gelatin cationic polymer has been performed using p(AmA). The synthesis of p(AmA) was realized through a random radical methodology. Under these conditions a polymer with 18,600 g/mol was found appropriate for optimal capsule yield and physico-chemical properties. Turbidity measurements performed during the coacervation reactions with different ratios of both CmC and p(AmA) allowed optimizing coacervation conditions. Coacervates characterizations particularly demonstrate the stability of the capsules exhibiting a break strength over 3 N/m2.

Diabetes has become a concern in the developed and developing countries with its growing number of patients reported to the ministry of health records. This paper discusses the use of the Autoregressive Fractional moving Average (ARFImA) technique to modeling the diabetes patient’s attendance at Al-Baha hospitals using monthly time series data. The data used in the analysis of this paper are monthly readings of diabetes patients data covered the period January 2006-December 2016. The data were collected from the General Directorate of Health Affairs, Al-Baha region. The autoregressive fractional moving average approach was applied to the data through the model identification, estimation, diagnostic checking and forecasting. Hurst test results and ACF confirmed that there is a long memory behavior in diabetic patient’s data. Also, the fractional difference to diabetes series data revealed that (m>dm> = 0.44). moreover, unit root tests indicated that the fractional difference of diabetes series level is stationary. Furthermore, according to AIC and BIC of model selection criteria ARFImA (1, 0.44, 0) model shown the smallest values, hence this model was chosen as an adequate represents the data. Also, a diagnostic check confirmed that ARFImA was appropriate and highly recommended in modeling and forecasting this type of data.

Gene Therapy of HSV-TK Transferred by the EBV based Expression Vector on Experimental Hepatocellular Carcinoma

To study the therapeutic effects of herpes simplex virus thymidine kinase gene transferred by the EBV based expression vector on experimental hepatocellular carcinoma, pDR2 TK gene was delivered into human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line SmmC 7721 by using liposome mediated transfection technique,and then gene expression was detected by RT PCR, and the killing effects were examined through mTT method. In the nude mice hepatoma model,the antitumor effects of pDR2 TK /GCV system was evaluated in terms of tumor growth. mTT results showed that the pDR2 TK /GCV had cytotoxic effect and about 70 % SmmC 7721 cells were killed when GCV was at 1000 μmol/L. In vivo experiment showed that the tumor size in nude mice with transferred pDR2 TK gene was significantly smaller than that in control group . On the 10th day the tumor in 3 mice (60 %) disappeared completely after GCV treatment. It is concluded that the pDR2 TK/GCV system has marked killing effects on the experimental hepatocellular carcinoma.
