Stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy(SABR)is an effective technique comparable to surgery in terms of local control and efficacy in early stages of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)and pulmonary *** fractionation schemes have proven to be safe and effective,including the single fraction(SF)*** is an option costeffectiveness,more convenience and comfortable for the patient and flexible in terms of its management combined with systemic *** outbreak of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 pandemic has driven this not new but underutilized paradigm,recommending this option to minimize patients’visits to *** SABR already has a long experience,strong evidence and sufficient maturity to reliably evaluate outcomes in peripheral primary NSCLC and there are promising outcomes in pulmonary metastases,making it a valid treatment option;although its use in central locations,synchronous and recurrencies tumors requires more prospective safety and efficacy *** SABR radiobiology study,together with the combination with systemic therapies,(targeted therapies and immunotherapy)is a direction of research in both advanced disease and early stages whose future includes SF.

Impact of device resistances in the performance of graphene-based terahertz photodetectors

In recent years, graphene field-effect-transistors(GFETs) have demonstrated an outstanding potential for terahertz(THz) photodetection due to their fast response and high-sensitivity. Such features are essential to enable emerging THz applications, including 6G wireless communications, quantum information, bioimaging and security. However, the overall performance of these photodetectors may be utterly compromised by the impact of internal resistances presented in the device, so-called access or parasitic resistances. In this work, we provide a detailed study of the influence of internal device resistances in the photoresponse of high-mobility dual-gate GFET detectors. Such dual-gate architectures allow us to fine tune(decrease) the internal resistance of the device by an order of magnitude and consequently demonstrate an improved responsivity and noise-equivalent-power values of the photodetector, respectively. Our results can be well understood by a series resistance model, as shown by the excellent agreement found between the experimental data and theoretical calculations. These findings are therefore relevant to understand and improve the overall performance of existing high-mobility graphene photodetectors.

Dietary Organic and Inorganic Selenium on Liver Glycogen and Lactate, pHu, Color and Drip Loss of Chicken Pectoralis and Gastrocnemius muscles

The effect of selenium supplementation in finishing broiler diets on meat quality was studied. A corn soya based diet was supplemented with 0.3 ppm of Se from an organic (Seleno methionine;Se-met) or inorganic source (sodium selenite;Se-Na) and offered to Rossmale chickens from thirty five to fifty two days old. Body weight and feed consumption were recorded during the experimental period. Immediately post sacrifice liver was removed and weight was recorded. The liver glycogen and lactate content was measured. Carcass yield and abdominal fat were determined. At 24 hours post mortem, pHu, colour L*, a*, b*, H°, C*, and drip loss of the Pectoralis and Gastrocnemius muscles were determined. Se-met supplementation significantly decreases daily food intake. Se-Na significantly increases liver glycogen and lactate content at 3 minutes post mortem. Se-met and Se-Na significantly increase pHu as compared to the control diet. Also a Se-met provoked a darker (lower L*) and a redder (higher a*) and a decreased tone (lower H°) in Pectoralis. Se-met and Se-Na significantly decrease the drip loss in Pectoralis and Gastrocnemius at 24 hours post mortem. We conclude that selenium supplementation decreases food intake and improves meat quality by improving colour and decreasing drip loss, likely by a modulation of reserve of glycogen in liver. The difference among the organic and inorganic sources is not clear and requires further investigation.

The powders of the AA 7075-ZRO2 were mixed by mechanical milling, but it was found that the system presents a few disadvantages when processed by conventional sintering and hot extrusion, since intermetallic phases between ZrO2 particles and alloying elements were formed. Equal channel angular pressing （ECAP） processing was proposed as an alternative method to consolidate the composite where there is no intermetallic formation. The analysis of the ECAP process showed that the intermediate temperature （220℃） produced a higher consolidation level than conventional sintering and hot extrusion （400 and 500℃, respectively）. This fact was supported by relative density analysis. In the case of the sintered and hot-extruded sample, the relative density exhibited a value of 0.95, while ECAP sample showed a value of 0.98. Hardness values show that microstructural refinement obtained during mechanical milling was preserved during ECAP processing even when it was carded out at 220℃.

Relation between Life Events and Intimacy and Relational Satisfaction in men from 40 Years of Age

The present study consists of verifying the relation between life events mid intimacy and relational satisfaction in men from 40 years of age. The sample consisted of 70 males aged 40 years or older （m= 51.6, SD = 8.1）. In order to obtain the results, all the described life events were analyzed and the intimacy and relational satisfaction questionnaire, ＂Revised Dyadic Adjustment Scale＂（RDAS） was used. It was confirmed that there were significant differences in intimacy and relational satisfaction, comparing the subjects who pointed out very positive life events with the subjects who pointed out very negative life events. Regarding to the first group, there was a greater degree of satisfaction with intimacy, a greater agreement between the couple, a higher participation in joint activities and few disagreements within the relationship. However, the duration of the relationship and partner age are higher in the second group. It was also verified that subjects between 40 and 50 years old presented a higher degree of satisfaction with intimacy, comparing with subjects between 51 and 79 years, although the latter had longer relationships and that partner age was older.

This paper addresses the development of a random forest classifier for the muki-class fault diagnosis in spur gearboxes. The vibration signal＇s condition parameters are first extracted by applying the wavelet packet decomposition with multiple mother wavelets, and the coefficients＇ energy content for terminal nodes is used as the input feature for the classification problem. Then, a study through the parameters＇ space to find the best values for the number of trees and the number of random features is performed. In this way, the best set of mother wavelets for the application is identified and the best features are selected through the internal ranking of the random forest classifier. The results show that the proposed method reached 98.68% in classification accuracy, and high efficiency and robustness in the models.

microbial inoculants are of great importance in agro-ecology and plants. However, the symbiotic effectiveness of strains may vary between species or within the same species. Aim of the study was to select experimental microbial strains of national origin, to know its impact on growth of sweet sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) in greenhouse and sterile soil. Five strains of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AmF) and eight rhizobacteria (two of them mutagenized) were compared with non-inoculated plants as control. Variables measured were index of chlorophyll SPAD, plant height, stem diameter (from the middle section), fresh biomass from stem, leaf, panicle, radical, and stem sugars content (°Brix) of every two internodes. The results showed that in the majority of cases, microbial strains exceeded the values of variables compared with control plants. The highest values of chlorophyll (41.8 SPAD), stem diameter (13.5 mm) and total fresh biomass (144.3 g), were recorded with rhizobacterias BS410 (Herbaspirillum sp.), B2709 (Pseudomonas sp.) and B4m4 (Azospirillum sp.), respectively.

Changing Concentrations of Heavy metals in Stream Water as a Result of Slurry Application to Soil

Several studies focused on nutrients have shown that land use and management practices have a strong influence on stream chemistry. much less is known about the relationship between heavy metal concentrations in stream water and land use. We compared the variability of trace element concentrations in the stream of a catchment exposed to different types of management practices and land use. This is a small catchment with previous agricultural diffuse and accidental pollution mainly due to the spreading of slurry. The agricultural land was reforested in July 1998. The concentrations of Fe, mn, Cu and Zn in dissolved phase from surface water samples collected at the catchment outlet were determined over a period of approximately six years. The results suggest that dissolved metal concentrations, especially Cu and mn, are controlled by the land use and management practices. The median concentrations of studied metals were the highest in the agricultural period. It was also during this period when they all presented the highest concentration peaks, coinciding with a time of heavy application of manure to the soil. Dissolved Fe and mn showed high dependence of flow rate, whereas Cu and Zn concentrations seemed to be independent of flow.
