Wild-type pota.o (Sola.um tuberosum L.) pla.ts a.d their tra.sforma.ts ha.boring a.roba.teria. rolB or rolC genes under control of the pa.a.in cla.s I promoter were cultured in vitro. These pla.ts were used a. a.source of single-node stem cuttings. The structure of na.ive sta.ch in tubers formed on cuttings wa. determined using methods of X-ra. sca.tering a.d differentia. sca.ning microca.orimetry (DSC). It wa. found tha. in sta.ch from tubers of rolB pla.ts the melting tempera.ure of crysta.line la.ella.wa. lower a.d their thickness wa. less tha. tha. in wild-type pota.o. In tubers of rolC pla.ts sta.ch differed from sta.ch in wild-type pla.ts by a.higher melting tempera.ure, reduced melting entha.py, a.d a.grea.er thickness of crysta.line la.ella.. The melting of sta.ch from tubers of rolC pla.ts proceeded a. the melting of two independent crysta.line structures with melting tempera.ures of 338.0°K a.d 342.8°K. Overa.l da.a.show tha. sta.ches of different structure ca. be obta.ned by using tra.sgenic a.proa.h.
