Analytical model for predicting time-dependent lateral deformation of geosynthetics-reinforced soil walls with modular block facing

To date,few models are available in the literature to consider the creep behavior of geosynthetics when predicting the lateral deformation(d)of geosynthetics-reinforced soil(GRS)retaining *** this study,a general hyperbolic creep model was first introduced to describe the long-term deformation of geosynthetics,which is a function of elapsed time and two empirical parameters a and *** conventional creep tests with three different tensile loads(Pr)were conducted on two uniaxial geogrids to determine their creep behavior,as well as the a-Pr and b-Pr *** test results show that increasing Pr accelerates the development of creep deformation for both ***,a and b respectively show exponential and negatively linear relationships with Pr,which were confirmed by abundant experimental data available in other *** on the above creep model and relationships,an accurate and reliable analytical model was then proposed for predicting the time-dependent d of GRS walls with modular block facing,which was further validated using a relevant numerical investigation from the previous *** evaluation and comparison of the proposed model with six available prediction models were *** a parametric study was carried out to evaluate the effects of wall height,vertical spacing of geogrids,unit weight and internal friction angle of backfills,and factor of safety against pullout on d at the end of construction and 5 years *** findings show that the creep effect not only promotes d but also raises the elevation of the maximum d along the wall ***,the limitations and application prospects of the proposed model were discussed and analyzed.

Environment investment: transition from end-investment to multi-investment

Environmental investment must change its direction from end-investment to multi-investment, such as ecological construction, recycling economy and environmental protection. Only it can meet the needs of breaking the bottleneck of resources and environment for Chinese sustainable development. And the transition can hero us realize low-ost and highspeedy increasing of economy, as well as the construction of ecological health, beautiful environment economic development and harmonious new society. Material recycling in ecosystem can run well by self-organization and self-regulation by nature with low-cost and even non-cost. So, the environmental investment in ecological construction should be the profits maximum investment. But it needs country＇s support in financial policy on ecological or environmental compensation. Recycling economy is a brand-new pattern of economic growth, which formed gradually in the course of mankind exploring and practicing sustainable development. Fountainhead prevention, reducing and whole processing control are its significant characteristics, which are digerent from any former economic and environmental protection system. Investing in technology development and relevant industry of recycling economy should be the other major field of environment investment in China in the future.

Electrons Transfer Between Mercaptoacetic Acid and ZnO Nanocrystal Thin Film

ZnO nanoorystals thin film were prepared by means of the self-assembly mothed. The complex films of mercaptoacetic acid(MPA) and ZnO nanocrystals(ZNCs) were prepared by means of the self-assembly technique. The interaction between the MPA and ZnO within the MPA and ZnO nanocrystal thin film decreases the photoluminescence intensity of the ZnO. The interaction was manifested by the X-ray photoelectron spectra. The intensity change of the photoluminescence of the ZnO is discussed on the basis of taking into account the process of electron transfer on the interface between the ZnO and MPA. The electron transfer of ZnO depends on the distance between the ZnO and MPA.

M6A RNA methylation modification and tumor immune microenvironment in lung adenocarcinoma

Lung adenocarcinoma is one of the deadliest tumors. Studies have shown that N6-methyladenosine RNA methylation regulators, as a dynamic chemical modification, affect the occurrence and development of lung adenocarcinoma. To investigate the relationship between mutations and expression levels of m6A regulators in lung adenocarcinoma, we investigated the mutations and expression levels of38 m6A regulators. We found that mutations in m6A regulatory factors did not affect the changes in expression levels, and 19 differentially expressed genes were identified. All tumor samples were classified into two subtypes based on the expression levels of 19 differentially expressed m6A-regulated genes. Survival analysis showed significant differences in survival between the two subtypes. To explore the relationship between immune cell infiltration and survival in both subtypes, we calculated the infiltration of 23 immune cells in both subtypes, and we found that the subtype with high immune cell infiltration had better survival. We found that subtypes with low tumor purity and high stromal and immune scores had better survival. The m6A-related immune genes were identified by taking the intersection of differentially expressed genes and immune genes in the two isoforms and calculating the Pearson correlation coefficients between the intersecting immune genes and the differentially expressed m6A-regulated genes. Finally, a prognostic model associated with m6A and associated with immunity was developed using prognostic genes screened from m6A-associated immune genes. The predictive power of the model was evaluated and our model was able to achieve good prediction.

Emission characteristics of offshore fishing ships in the Yellow Bo Sea, China

Maritime transport has been playing a decisive role in global trade. Its contribution to the air pollution of the sea and coastal areas has been widely recognized. The air pollutant emission inventories of several harbors in China have already been established. However,the emission factors of local ships have not been addressed comprehensively, and thus are lacking from the emission inventories. In this study, on-board emission tests of eight diesel-powered offshore fishing ships were conducted near the coastal region of the northern Yellow Bo Sea fishing ground of Dalian, China. Results show that large amounts of fine particles（ 0.5 μm, 90%） were found in maneuvering mode, which were about five times higher than those during cruise mode. Emission rates as well as emission factors based on both distance and fuel were determined during the cruise and maneuvering modes（including departure and arrival）. Average emission rates and distance-based emission factors of CO, HC and PM were much higher during the maneuvering mode as compared with the cruise mode. However, the average emission rate of Nitrous Oxide（NOx） was higher during the cruise mode as compared with the maneuvering modes. On the contrary, the average distance-based emission factors of NOxwere lower during the cruise mode relative to the maneuvering mode due to the low sailing speed of the latter.

Effects of resource additions on species richness and ANPP in an alpine meadow community

Aims Theories based on resource additions indicate that plant species richness is mainly determined by the number of limiting ***,the individual effects of various limiting resources on species richness and aboveground net primary productivity(ANPP)are less well ***,we analyzed potential linkages between additions of limiting resources,species loss and ANPP increase and further explored the underlying *** Resources(N,P,K and water)were added in a completely randomized block design to alpine meadow plots in the Qinghai-Tibetan *** aboveground biomass,species composition,mean plant height and light availability were measured in each *** and analysis of variance were used to analyze the responses of these measures to the different resource-addition *** Findings Species richness decreased with increasing number of added limiting resources,suggesting that plant diversity was apparently determined by the number of limiting *** was the most important limiting resource affecting species richness,whereas Pand K alone had negligible *** largest reduction in species richness occurred when all three elements were added in *** played a different role compared with the other limiting *** richness increased when water was added to the treatments with N and P or with N,P and *** decreases in species richness after resource additions were paralleled by increases in ANPP and decreases in light penetration into the plant canopy,suggesting that increased light competitionwas responsible for the negative effects of resource additions on plant species richness.

The 4R-Rules of Recycling Economy in Industry

Traditional 3R-rulea have been regarded as behaviour *** developing recycling economy. However. with the development of modern advanced manufacturing techniquea, the important vatue of remanufacturing in promoting recycling economy has been given more and more attention to in revere years. Remanufaeturtng engineering technology, which utilizes advanced sub;face engineering and forming technology, produces directly with useable components of scraped machines. It can conserve the most of materials （about 83%-95%） and energy （about 80-85%） of ortginal prodacts with less pollution. By remamifacturing, we can reduce resources consumption under the condition of meeting the needs of social and economic development. Remanufacturing is an advanced method for recycling economy in industry Therefore, we think that the rules of .ecycting economy in industry could be extended from 3 R-rules to 4R-rules. The 4R-rules optimal sequence would be reduce,reuse. remanufacture, and recycle.

Physiological and transcriptomic insights into ethanol stress tolerance in Lentilactobacillus hilgardii Q19

Malolactic fermentation， started by lactic acid bacteria， plays a crucial role in the production of high-quality wines. As global warming continues to increase the ethanol in wine， the key for successful malolactic fermentation is the excellent strain that tolerates high ethanol in the wines which produce from warm climate area. In our previous study， Lentilactobacillus hilgardii Q19 was isolated and characterized as an indigenous malolactic bacterium with higher ethanol tolerance properties than the strains used in wine industry， but the molecular mechanism of which in response to ethanol stress remains unclear. In this study， it was indicated that ethanol stress had significant effects on ATPase activity， antioxidant system， and cell membrane of L. hilgardii Q19 by measuring the physiological indicators under stress which include H+-ATPase， Na+/K+-ATPase， Ca2+/Mg2+-ATPase activity， glutathione content， superoxide dismutase （SOD） activity and intracellular reactive oxygen species （ROS） content. The main metabolic pathways involved in ethanol stress such as ATP-binding cassette （ABC） transporters， pentose phosphate pathway， phosphotransferase system， glutathione metabolic pathway and two-component systems were screened by transcriptome sequencing analysis. The functions of the pentose phosphate pathway， pyruvate metabolic pathway and glycerolipid metabolism under ethanol stress were verified by constructing the L. hilgardii Q19 ethanol stress related key genes gntK， pyk， and glpK overexpression vectors. The above findings may contribute to our understanding of the metabolic pathways and regulatory mechanisms of L. hilgardii Q19 in response to ethanol stress.
