Graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))nanosheets have attracted widespread interest in the construction of advanced separation ***,dense stacking and a single functionality have limited the membrane ***,an advanced two-/three-dimensional(2D/3D)g-C_(3)N_(4)/tiO_(2)@MnO_(2) membrane is constructed by intercalating 3D tiO_(2)@MnO_(2) nanostructures into g-C_(3)N_(4) *** 3D flower-like nanostructures broaden the transport channels of the composite *** membrane can effectively separate five oil-in-water(O/W)emulsions,with a maximum flux of 3265.67±15.01 L·m^(-2)·h^(-1)·bar^(-1) and a maximum efficiency of 99.69%±0.45%for toluene-in-water emulsion(t/W).Meanwhile,the tiO_(2)@MnO_(2) acts as an excellent electron acceptor and provides positive spatial separation of electrons–holes(e^(-)–h^(+)).the formation of 2D/3D heterojunctions allows the material with wider light absorption and smaller bandgap(2.10 eV).these photoelectric properties give the membrane good degradation of three different pollutants,with about 100%degradation for methylene blue(MB)and malachite green(MG).the photocatalytic antibacterial efficiency of the membrane is also about 100%.After cyclic experiment,the membrane maintains its original separation and photocatalytic *** remarkable multifunctional and self-cleaning properties of the g-C_(3)N_(4) based membrane represent its potential value for complex wastewater treatment.

Cannabis sativa L. is used as fiber, food, and medicine in several countries. though it is illegal for recreational use in most of the world, there are some countries that have legalized production and sale. there is a lot of research on production of cannabis, but less so on storage technologies. Cannabis contains several high value compounds, such as cannabinoids and terpenoids, that are susceptible to degradation via light, temperature, and oxygen. Several studies have explored temperature and light, and industry has adjusted accordingly. However, less is known about oxygen-induced degradation. Biochemical studies have demonstrated oxidative degradation of high value compounds, and many producers use some form of modified atmospheric packaging (MAP) for storage. However, the efficacy of MAP is unclear. the objective of this paper is to review our current understanding of MAP in postharvest cannabis storage and identify avenues where additional research is needed.

BACKGROUND Hypothermic machine perfusion(HMP)has demonstrated benefits in terms of early kidney transplant function compared to static cold *** longer preservation times have shown detrimental effects,a previous paired study indicated that longer pump times(the second kidney in a pair)might lead to improved *** to revisit the prior paired study's somewhat unexpected results by reviewing our program's *** A total of 61 pairs of transplant recipients who received kidneys from the same donor(2012-2021)were *** were divided into two groups depending on whether they were transplanted first(K1)or second(K2).therefore,the patients in each pair had identical donor characteristics,except for time on the *** analyses included Kaplan-Meyer analysis and paired tests,including McNemar's test,student's paired t-test,or Wilcoxon's test,as *** the two groups of recipients had similar demographics(age,body mass index,diabetes,time on dialysis,sensit-ization and retransplants).Cold ischemic times for K1 and K2 were 8.9(95%CI:7.9,9.8)and 14.7 hours(13.7,15.8)(Pte of freedom from biopsy-proven acute rejection at 1 year(P=0.015).Delayed graft function was less common in K2,12/61(20%)than in K1,20/61(33%)(P=0.046).Finally,K2 showed a higher graft survival than K1(P=0.023).CONCLUSION Our results agree with a previous study that suggested possible advantages to longer pump *** studies should encourage further research into HMP's potential anti-inflammatory effect.

导电聚合物复合材料(CPC)因其耐腐蚀性好、比强度高、成本低和易加工等良好的综合性能,被广泛用于制备电磁屏蔽材料。本文采用简单的刮膜法和热酰亚胺化法制备了综合性能良好的MXene-羧基化碳纳米管/聚酰亚胺(MXene-CCNt/PI)复合薄膜。MXene和CCNt协同作用构筑了良好的导电网络,赋予薄膜高效的电磁屏蔽效能(EMI SE),当MXene和CCNt含量均为12.5wt%,膜厚度为80μm时,电导率和EMI SE分别为5.88 S/cm和26.49 dB,电磁屏蔽效能与厚度的比值(EMI SE/t)为331.13 dB/mm。并且在极端恶劣环境下(酸-碱处理、高低温处理和重复弯曲)显示出持久而稳定的EMI SE。与此同时,MXene-CCNt/PI薄膜仍具有53.17 MPa的拉伸强度、优异的热稳定性(>500℃)和阻燃性能。实现了聚合物基电磁屏蔽复合材料的便捷、高效制备,同时兼顾其优异的力学性能和耐热性能。

the ability to reliably detect coronary artery disease based on the acousticnoises produced by a stenosis can provide a simple, non-invasive technique for *** research exploits the shear wave fields in body tissue to detect andanalyze coronary stenoses. the methods and ideas outlined in earlier efforts [6] includinga mathematical model utilizing an internal strain variable approximation tothe quasi-linear viscoelastic constitutive equation proposed by Fung in [19] is extendedhere. As an initial investigation, a homogeneous two-dimensional viscoelastic geometryis considered. Being uniform in θ, this geometry behaves as a one dimensionalmodel, and the results generated from it are compared to the one dimensional resultsfrom [6]. to allow for different assumptions on the elastic response, several variationsof the model are considered. A statistical significance test is employed to determine ifthe more complex models are significant improvements. After calibrating the modelwith a comparison to previous findings, more complicated geometries are *** involving a heterogeneous geometrywith a uniformring running throughthe original medium, a θ-dependent model which considers a rigid partial occlusionformed along the inner radius of the geometry, and a model which combines the ringand occlusion are presented.

A systematic review and meta-analysis to determine the effect of sperm DNA damage on in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection outcome

Sperm DNA damage is prevalent among infertile men and is known to influence natural reproduction. However, the impact of sperm DNA damage on assisted reproduction outcomes remains controversial. Here, we conducted a meta-analysis of studies on sperm DNA damage （assessed by SCSA, tUNEL, SCD, or Comet assay） and clinical pregnancy after IVF and/or ICSI treatment from MEDLINE, EMBASE, and PUBMED database searches for this analysis. We identified 41 articles （with a total of 56 studies） including 16 IVF studies, 24 ICSI studies, and 16 mixed （IVF ＋ ICSI） studies. these studies measured DNA damage （by one of four assays： 23 SCSA, 18 tUNEL, 8 SCD, and 7 Comet） and included a total of 8068 treatment cycles （3734 IVF, 2282 ICSI, and 2052 mixed IVF ＋ ICSI）. the combined OR of 1.68 （95% Ch 1.49-1.89; P 〈 0.0001） indicates that sperm DNA damage affects clinical pregnancy following IVF and/or ICSI treatment. In addition, the combined OR estimates of IVF （16 estimates, OR = 1.65; 95% CI： 1.34-2.04; P 〈 0.0001）, ICSI （24 estimates, OR = 1.31; 95% Ch 1.08-1.59; P = 0.0068）, and mixed IVF ＋ ICSI studies （16 estimates, OR = 2.37; 95% Ch 1.89-2.97; P〈 0.0001） were also statistically significant. there is sufficient evidence in the existing literature suggesting that sperm DNA damage has a negative effect on clinical pregnancy following IVF and/or ICSI treatment.

Cremaster muscle thickening: the anatomic difference in men with testicular retraction due to hyperactive cremaster muscle reflex

the objective was to assess whether men suffering from testicular retraction secondary to hyperactive cremaster muscle reflex havean anatomic difference in the thickness of the cremaster muscle in comparison to men who do not have retraction. From March2021 to December 2021, 21 men underwent microsurgical subinguinal cremaster muscle release (MSCMR) on 33 spermatic cordunits, as 12 of them had bilateral surgery, at Surgicare of South Austin Ambulatory Surgery Center in Austin, tX, USA. Duringthat same time frame, 36 men underwent subinguinal microsurgical varicocele repair on 41 spermatic cord units, as 5 werebilateral for infertility. the thickness of cremaster muscles was measured by the operating surgeon in men undergoing MSCMRand varicocele repair. Comparison was made between the cremaster muscle thickness in men with testicular retraction due toa hyperactive cremaster muscle reflex undergoing MSCMR and the cremaster muscle thickness in men undergoing varicocelerepair for infertility with no history of testicular retraction, which served as an anatomic control. the mean cremaster musclethickness in men who underwent MSCMR was significantly greater than those undergoing varicocele repair for infertility, witha mean cremaster muscle thickness of 3.9 (standard deviation [s.d.]: 1.2) mm vs 1.0 (s.d.: 0.4) mm, respectively. Men withtesticular retraction secondary to a hyperactive cremaster muscle reflex demonstrate thicker cremaster muscles than controls,those undergoing varicocele repair. An anatomic difference may be a beginning to understanding the pathology in men whostruggle with testicular retraction.
