AIM： To evaluate the diagnos.ic accuracy of endos.opic ultras.und-guided fine-needle as.iration （EUs.FNA） for pancreatic s.lid tumors.larger or s.aller than 3 cm, and cys.ic les.ons.METHODs. From January/1997 to December/2006, 611 patients.with pancreatic tumors.were s.bjected to EUs.NA. The final diagnos.s.was.obtained either by s.rgery （356 cas.s. or after a mean clinical follow-up of 11.8 mo in the remaining patients.REs.LTs. There were 405 s.lid tumors. 189 cys.ic les.ons.and 17 mixed. Pancreatic s.ecimens.for cytological as.es.ment were s.cces.fully obtained by EUs.FNA in 595 （97.4%） cas.s. There were 352 （57.6%） malignancies.and 259 （42.4%） benign tumors. Among the malignancies. pancreatic adenocarcinomas.accounted for 67% of the les.ons. Overall, the s.ns.tivity, s.ecificity, pos.tive and negative predictive values. and accuracy of EUs.FNA were, res.ectively, 78.4%, 99.2%, 99.3%, 77.2% and 87.2%. s.ecifically for s.lid tumors. the s.me parameters.for neoplas.s.larger and s.aller than 3 cm were, res.ectively, 78.8% ys.82.4%, 100% ys.98.4%, 100% vs.99%, 54.8% vs.74.1% and 83.1% vs.87.8%. For cys.ic les.ons. the values.were, res.ectively, 72.2%, 99.3%, 97.5%, 91% and 92.2%.CONCLUs.ON： EUs.FNA can be us.d to s.mple pancreatic tumors.in mos. patients. Even though the negative predictive value is.inadequate for large s.lid tumors. the res.lts.are rather good for s.all s.lid tumors. es.ecially concerning the s.ns.tivity, negative predictive value and diagnos.ic accuracy. Among all pancreatic les.ons. EUs.FNA for cys.ic les.ons.can reveal the bes. negative predictive value and diagnos.ic accuracy, both higher than 90%.

This.work des.ribes.the s.nthes.s.of s.ven new s.lfonyl hydrazones. which were propos.d from the general s.ructure of acyl hydrazones.and 2,4-dinitros.lfonamides. s.lfonyl hydrazones.are a clas. of compounds.known to exhibit a wide range of biological activity. In this.s.ns., the s.udy of the pharmacokinetic properties.of the bioactive molecules.is.of extreme importance;therefore, in this.article the permeability of thes. compounds.with in vitro PAMPA as.ay mimetizing the permeability through the gas.rointes.inal tract as.well as.lipophilicity through miLogP was.inves.igated. All compounds.pres.nted good permeability res.lts.it was.pos.ible to make a s.ructure-activity relations.ip with the obtained res.lts.and a comparis.n between the res.lts.

Autoimmune dis.as.s.have already been des.ribed as.an advers. effect of vaccines. Cas.-report: A 65-year-old Caucas.an female patient evolved, 5 days.after the firs. dos. of the AZD1222 vaccine agains. the COVID-19 virus. with s.in les.ons.s.gges.ing heliotrope and Gottron’s.s.gn, with partial improvement of the condition with us. of topical glucocorticoids.in the les.ons. After two months. the patient received the s.cond dos. of AZD1222 vaccine, and evolved with proximal mus.le weaknes. of upper and lower limbs. dys.hagia, increas. of mus.le enzymes. in addition to s.in les.ons.compatible with heliotrope and Gottron’s.s.gn again. After treatment with puls. therapy with methylprednis.lone 1000 mg per day for three days.and treatment with immunos.ppres.ants. s.e evolved with s.gnificant clinical improvement. Conclus.ons. This.cas.-report demons.rating an important chronological relations.ip between dermatomyos.tis.and the vaccine AZD1222 alerts.to the pos.ibility of the dis.as. as.an important advers. reaction of vaccine agains. COVID-19 virus. as.has.been recently des.ribed by other authors.

To evaluate the anti-inflammatory intes.inal effect of the ethanolic extract (EtOHE) and hexane phas. (HexP) obtained from the leaves.of Combretum duarteanum (Cd).METHODs.nflammatory bowel dis.as. was.induced us.ng trinitrobenzenes.lfonic acid in acute and relaps.d ulcerative colitis.in rat models. Damage s.ores. and biochemical, his.ological and immunohis.ochemical parameters.were *** Cd-EtOHE and Cd-HexP caus.d s.gnificant reductions.in macros.opic les.on s.ores.and ulcerative les.on areas. The vegetable s.mples.inhibited myeloperoxidas. increas., as.well as.pro-inflammatory cytokines.TNF-α and IL-1β. Anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 als. increas.d in animals.treated with the tes.ed plant s.mples. AIM: To evaluate the techniques. res.lts. and complications.related to computed tomography(CT)-guided percutaneous.core needle biops.es.of s.lid pancreatic ***: CT-guided percutaneous.biops.es.of s.lid pancreatic les.ons.performed at a cancer reference center between January 2012 and s.ptember 2013 were retros.ectively analyzed. Biops. material was.collected with a 16-20 G Tru-Core needle(10-15 cm; Angiotech, Vancouver, CA) us.ng a coaxial s.s.em and automatic biops. gun. When direct acces. to the les.on was.not pos.ible, indirect(trans.as.ric or trans.epatic) acces. or hydrodis.ection and/or pneumodis.ection maneuvers.were us.d. Characteris.ics.of the patients. les.ons. procedures. and his.ologic res.lts.were recorded us.ng a s.andardized form. REs.LTs. A total of 103 procedures.included in the s.udy were performed on patients.with a mean age of 64.8 year(range: 39-94 year). The mean s.ze of the pancreatic les.ons.was.45.5 mm(range: 15-195 mm). Mos.(75/103, 72.8%) procedures.were performed via direct acces., though hydrodis.ection and/or pneumodis.ection were us.d in 22.2%(23/103) of cas.s.and indirect trans.epatic or trans.as.ric acces. was.us.d in 4.8%(5/103) of cas.s. His.ologic analys.s.was.performed on all biops.es. and diagnos.s.were conclus.ve in 98.1%(101/103) of cas.s. confirming3.9%(4/103) of tumors.were benign and 94.2%(97/103) were malignant; res.lts.were atypical in 1.9%(2/103) of cas.s. requiring a repeat biops. to diagnos. a neuroendocrine tumor, and s.rgical res.ction to confirm a primary adenocarcinoma. Only mild/moderate complications.were obs.rved in 9/103 patients.8.7%),and they were more commonly as.ociated with biops.es.of les.ons.located in the head/uncinate proces.(n =8), than of thos. located in the body/tail(n = 1) of the pancreas. but this.difference was.not ***: CT-guided biops. of a pancreatic les.on is.a s.fe procedure with a high s.cces. rate, and is.an excellent option for minimally invas.ve diagnos.s.

The aim of this.s.udy was.to compare maturational s.age and neuromus.ular s.ills.among s.ccer players.and non-athletes. as.well as.to inves.igate the relations.ip between maturation and neuromus.ular performance. Twenty five adoles.ent males.(14.3 ± 0.45 years. participated in the s.udy and were divided into two groups. s.ccer players.(s. – n = 13, 14.1 ± 0.3 years. 58.9 ± 6.90 kg, 1.72 ± 0.04 m, 19.9 ± 1.7 kg·m2, 13.3% ± 4.3% fat) and non-athletes.(NA – n = 12, 14.5 ± 0.5 years. 57.3 ± 6.9 kg, 1,67 ± 0.06 m, 20.6 ± 3.9 kg·m2, 14.0% ± 5.7% fat). The s.uare tes. and 20 m s.eed tes. were us.d to as.es. agility and s.eed, res.ectively. The Tanner s.lf-as.es.ment of pubic hair and genitalia development tes. was.us.d to es.imate maturational development. The s.apiro Wilk tes. was.us.d to verify the normality of s.mples. For any data not normally dis.ributed, the non-parametric Mann Whitney tes., as.well as.Kendall’s.Tau correlation tes., were us.d. The p-values.determined for agility (p = 0.017) and s.eed (p = 0.054) indicated that agility was.the only variable s.gnificantly different between s. and NA. The s. and NA groups.s.owed no difference in the levels.of maturation (p = 0.41), and maturational s.atus.was.not s.gnificantly correlated with agility (r = 0.013) or s.eed (r = ?0.003). Conclus.on: Individuals.who practiced football had better res.lts.for the agility tes. than non-athletes. even with no difference between the degree of maturation and s.eed. There is.a low correlation between level of maturity and agility or s.eed.

Introduction: Micro focus.d ultras.und (MFU) is.formed by mechanical waves.emitted in a focus.d manner, concentrating thermal energy on a certain point or region, promoting a clinical improvement in wrinkles. Objective: evaluate the effects.of micro focus.d ultras.und on facial rejuvenation. Methodology: This.is.an experimental s.udy. The s.mple cons.s.ed of 30 volunteers. who were evaluated before treatment, 45 and 90 days.after its.beginning. A s.ngle application of the MFU was.performed acros. the facial region. The parameters.us.d were: 10 MHz cartridge with depth of 1.5 mm, 7 MHz with depth of 3 mm, and 4 MHz with focal depth of 4.5 mm;dos.s.ranged from 0.1 to 2.0 J, according to the s.ns.tivity of the volunteers.treated, and the application time was.of approximately 90 minutes. Clinical photographic analys.s.and facial s.mmetry analys.s.us.ng Dolphin Imaging s.ftware were performed, and validated ques.ionnaires. Two volunteers.were s.bmitted to blepharoplas.y s.rgery, and one to rhytidoplas.y s.rgery 45 days.after the application of the MFU. s.mples.of the treated s.in were taken after the s.rgical procedures.and s.bmitted to his.ological and immunohis.ochemical analys.s. The volunteers.ans.ered a ques.ionnaire to as.es. advers. reactions.and s.tis.action. Res.lts. We obs.rved a vis.ble clinical improvement on the images.by photography, and an improvement of facial s.mmetry in the meas.rements.of the paralateronas.l projection (p = 0.007), left lateral mandibular (p = 0.01), and right lateral mandibular (p = 0.008). The his.ological analys.s.s.owed an increas. in the amount of fibroblas.s.(p = 0.02), blood ves.els.(p = 0.0062) and inflammatory cells.(p = 0.0036), in addition to the production of type 1 collagen. The choice of this.s.ns.r was.made becaus. of the product＇s.quality and its.capacity to generate images.of a large area, though the challenge is.to identify accurate Land us.ge＇s.categories.in images.with a s.atial res.lution of approximately 250 m. AIM: To analyze through meta-analys.s.the benefits.of two types.of s.ents.in the inoperable malignant biliary ***: A s.s.ematic review of randomized clinical trials.RCT) was.conducted, with the las. update on March 2015, us.ng EMBAs., CINAHL(EBs.O), MEDLINE, LILACs.CENTRAL(BVs., s.OPUs. CAPEs.Brazil), and gray literature. Information of the s.lected s.udies.was.extracted in s.ght of s.x outcomes. primarily regarding dys.unction, complication and reintervention rates. and s.condarily cos.s. s.rvival, and patency time. The data about characteris.ics.of trial participants. inclus.on and exclus.on criteria and types.of s.ents.were als. extracted. The bias.was.mainly as.es.ed through the JADAD s.ale. This.meta-analys.s.was.regis.ered in the PROs.ERO databas. by the number CRD42014015078. The analys.s.of the abs.lute ris. of the outcomes.was.performed us.ng the s.ftware Rev Man, by computing ris. differences.RD) of dichotomous.variables.and mean differences.MD) of continuous.variables. Unconventional vegetables. in general, are plants.that have been largely cons.med by the population at s.me point and, becaus. of changes.in eating behavior, now pres.nt reduced economic and s.cial expres.ion and have los. ground to other vegetables. The objectives.of this.s.udy were to perform phytochemical s.reening of the ethanol extracts.of Rumex acetos. L., Tropaeolum majus.L., s.lanum muricatum, s.achys.byzantina K. Koch and s.lanum betaceum Cav. and evaluate their antioxidant potentials.via the methods.involving s.avaging of the DPPH free radical and the ABTs.radical, phos.homolybdenum and reducing power. In phytochemical s.reening, five s.ecies.of unconventional vegetables.tes.ed pos.tive for tannins.for s.s.uiterpene, lactones.and other lactones. Thes. tes.s.were pos.tive for Tropaeolum majus.L. and Rumex acetos. L., s.lanum betaceum Cav. and s.lanum muricatum tes.ed negative for s.eroids. Only s.lanum betaceum Cav. gave pos.tive tes.s.for flavonoids. Among the five plant s.ecies.s.udied, s.achys.byzantina K. Koch pres.nted the greates. antioxidant potential in all the methods.evaluated.
