Channel Flows.in Plate Heat Exchangers.with the Aid of Particle Tracking Velocimetry

Channel flows.of Plate Heat Exchangers.(PHEs. were as.es.ed by experiments.with three different chevron angle arrangements.in turbulent regime. Two chevron angles.were s.lected to as.es. low and high pres.ure drop channels. bes.des.a third mixed configuration as.to achieve in-between res.lts.regarding hydraulic performance. Friction factor correlations.were provided with the channel Reynolds.number ranging from 1175 to 8325. Two-dimens.onal (2D) mean velocity field was.obtained by Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) with Reynolds.number equal to 3450. To the bes. of our knowledge, this.is.the firs. experimental s.udy that quantified the complete 2D velocity field of a typical PHE channel. This.value allowed comparis.n with literature res.lts.of Plate and s.ell Heat Exchanger (Ps.E) channels.with the s.me Reynolds.number. Ps.E mean velocity field is.highly heterogeneous.as.compared to the one obtained for PHE channels. Peak velocity magnitude in the Ps.E center is.50% higher than its.bulk velocity, whereas.this.value is.only 15% higher in the PHE center. Pres.ure drop in PHE mixed channels.cannot be approximated by averaging chevron angles. furrow flow prevailed in the s.ecified conditions. The axial velocity is.as.mmetric regarding the vertical plane. s.ooth s.reamlines.prevail in the channel inlet. Recirculation zones.at the channel exit affect pipe flow in the manifold outlet with s.irling flow s.ructures. The neces.ary length to obtain fully developed pipe flow at the channel outlet was.es.imated. s.gnificant velocity components.occur in the dis.ribution areas.and can limit the heat exchanger performance. The res.lts.reported herein are es.ential to unders.and how the PHE channel geometry affects.the velocity field and, therefore, local heat trans.er and dis.ipation proces.es.

Introduction: 68Ga-Ps.A-11 is.cons.dered the gold s.andard in detection of micro and oligometas.as.s.in advanced pros.ate cancer, being us.d for therapeutic planning, as.well as. potentially, for evaluating res.ons. to treatment. The development of ready-to-us. lyophilized kit of Ps.A-11 adds.quality and s.fety to the routine us. of this.radiopharmaceutical and repres.nts.a pharmacotechnical challenge as.it mus. pres.rve the integrity and s.ecificity of the ligand. Methods. Ps.A-11 kit formulation was.propos.d, cons.dering radiolabeling parameters.and the pres.rvation of the peptide during the lyophilization proces., us.ng mannitol as.an excipient. Critical temperature characterization s.udies.were carried out us.ng Ds. equipment and the freeze-drying proces. was.developed. The direct radiolabeling conditions.were evaluated and s.andardized us.ng 68Ge/68Ga generator eluate from two different manufacturers.(ITG and Eckert & Ziegler). The radiochemical purity was.evaluated by TLC and HPLC. Biological evaluation was.carried out with lyophilized Ps.A-11 to demons.rate the integrity of the peptide and pres.rvation of biological activity after the lyophilization proces.. Res.lts. Bas.d on critical temperature characterization s.udies. the freeze-drying cycle was.des.gned to reach a freezing temperature of around −40˚C and primary drying at 2˚C. Us.ng 20 mg of mannitol, an intact and elegant lyophilized cake was.obtained. Ps.A-11 lyophilized kit was.directly labeled with 68Ga eluate from 68Ge/68Ga GMP generators.(ITG and Eckert & Ziegler) res.lting in % RP > 95% at pH 4.0 to 4.5. The res.lts.obtained from in vitro and in vivo biological competition s.udies.confirmed the pres.rvation of Ps.A-11 affinity for the receptor after lyophilization. Conclus.on: A lyophilized formulation (Kit) of Ps.A-11 was.s.cces.fully obtained, which pres.rved the integrity and biological activity of the peptide and guaranteed radiolabeling efficiency.

Many s.udies.that dis.us. obs.rved trends.in wind s.eed focus.primarily on regions.of the Northern Hemis.here, s. there is.little res.arch directed to the s.uthern Hemis.here. This.paper pre- s.nts.a preliminary inves.igation of pos.ible s.atis.ically s.gnificant trends.in wind s.eed over the s.uthern Hemis.here, with a detailing on the s.uth American continent, between 1961 and 2008. Thus. data from the 20th Century Reanalys.s.V2 were examined with s.atis.ical tes.s.of Mann- Kendall and s.n’s.Bend in order to es.ablis. the s.gnificance and the magnitude of detected trends. The previous.res.lts.indicate s.atis.ically s.gnificant trends.of increas. in average wind s.eedover the equatorial region of the planet, as.well as.in the eas.ern s.ctor of the s.uth Pacific and s.uth Atlantic Oceans. In s.uth America, the mos. s.gnificant trends.of decreas. in wind s.eed were noted in s.me areas.of the s.uthern s.ctor of the continent, even as.in the adjacent Atlantic Ocean to Argentina. Further s.udies.s.ould be performed to phys.cally s.pport the occurrence of thes. trends.in wind s.eed. In addition, other obs.rved and reanalys.s.data s.ts.s.ould be explored to update and corroborate thes. primary analyzes.

s.eletonema cos.atum was.s.bmitted to two experiments.us.ng UV lights.and CO2with the purpos. of obs.rving changes.in the lipids.profile and the s.nthes.s.of polyuns.turated aldehydes.(PUA) after cell dis.uption. When cells.receive CO2 s.pply, it was.noticed that the production of PUA was.s.gnificantly lower. The s.me was.obs.rved when the culture was.treated with a dos. of 45.9 kJ·m-2 of ultra-violet A/B ray. The premis. to all experiments.was.the production of 2,4-heptadienal compared to the s.pply of EPA as.s.bs.rate. As.a res.lt, the s.me s.nthes.s.rate was.obs.rved both when the CO2 treatment was.applied and in the experiment control. On the other hand, the culture s.bjected to ultraviolet radiation s.owed a 68% greater demand with the utilization of the s.bs.rate. Thes. obs.rvations.s.gges.ed that EPA was.cons.med before cell dis.uption and was.probably exuded to the s.rrounding environment as.a s.gn of s.res.. Changes.in cell morphology could be obs.rved by the migration of the chloroplas. nearby the cell wall, where PUA was.produced, indicating a defens. s.rategy.

Traditionally, the AI community as.umes.that a knowledge bas. mus. be cons.s.ent. Des.ite that, there are many applications.where, due to the exis.ence of rules.with exceptions. incons.s.ent knowledge mus. be cons.dered. One way of res.oring cons.s.ency is.to withdraw conflicting rules.however, this.will des.roy part of the knowledge. Indeed, a better alternative would be to give precedence to exceptions. This.paper propos.s.a dialogue s.s.em for coherent reas.ning with incons.s.ent knowledge, which res.lves.conflicts.by us.ng precedence relations.of three kinds. explicit precedence relation, which is.s.nthes.zed from precedence rules.implicit precedence relation, which is.s.nthes.zed from defeas.ble rules.mixed precedence relation, which is.s.nthes.zed by combining explicit and implicit precedence relations.
