Importance of dementia and Alzheimer's disease(AD): On Earth, there is a "country" that we call Dementia with around 50 million inhabitants and an estimated global economic cost of Us $1 trillion(Wimo et al., 2017).AD may contribute to 60–70% of cases, with other major forms of dementia being vascular dementia, dementia with Lewy bodies and a group of diseases that contribute to frontotemporal ***, the boundaries between different forms of dementia are indistinct and mixed forms often co-exist, which are only confirmed after postmortem neuropathological studies(Fernandez-Vega et al., 2015).

multiple efforts have been performed worldwide around diverse aspects of land ***,land administration data and systems’notorious heterogeneity remains a longstanding challenge to develop a harmonized *** this sense,the traditional spatial Data Infrastructures adoption is not enough to overcome this challenge since data sources’heterogeneity implies needs related to harmonization interoperability,sharing,and integration in land administration *** paper proposes a graph-based represen-tation of knowledge for integrating multiple and heterogeneous data sources(tables,shape-files,geodatabases,and WFs services)belonging to two Colombian agencies within a decentralized land administration *** knowledge graphs are developed on an ontology-based knowledge representation using national and international standards for land *** approach aims to prevent data isolation,enable cross-datasets integration,accomplish machine-processable data,and facilitate the reuse and exploitation of multi-jurisdictional datasets in a single approach.A real case study demonstrates the applicability of the land administration data cycle deployed.

Polycystic liver diseases(PCLDs) are a heterogeneous group of genetic disorders characterized by the development of multiple fluid-filled cysts in the liver,which derive from cholangiocytes,the epithelial cells lining the bile *** these cysts grow,symptoms such as abdominal distension,nausea,and abdominal pain may *** may exist isolated(i.e.,autosomal dominant polycystic liver disease,ADPLD) or in combination with renal cystogenesis(i.e.,autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease and autosomal recessive polycystic liver disease).The exact prevalence of PCLDs is unknown,but is estimated to occur in approximately 1:1000 *** the pathogenesis of each form of PCLD appears to be different,increasing evidences indicate that hepatic cystogenesis is a phenomenon that may involve somatic loss of heterozygosity(LOH) in those pathological conditions inherited in a dominant form.A recent report,using highly sophisticated methodology,demonstrated that ADPLD patients with a germline mutation in the protein kinase C substrate 80K-H(PRKCsH) gene mostly develop hepatic cystogenesis through a second somatic *** hepatocystin,the PRKCsH-encoding protein,was absent in the hepatic cysts with LOH,it was still expressed in the heterozygous *** the other hand,no additional trans-heterozygous mutations on the sEC63 homolog(*** /sEC63) gene(also involved in the development of PCLDs) were *** data indicate that PCLD is recessive at the cellular level,and point out the important role of hepatocystin loss in *** this commentary,we discuss the knowledge regarding the role of somatic second-hit mutations in the development of PCLDs,and the most relevant findings have been highlighted.

Using Lean manufacturing(Lm)tools in production processes is crucial for companies’economic,environmental,and social sustainability *** study shows a structural equation model(sEm)that shows the relationship between Lm Tools like Kaizen(KAI),Gemba(GEm),Value stream mapping(Vsm)and Key Performance Indicator(KPI)with Economic sustainability(ECs).seven hypotheses were evaluated with data from 179 responses to a questionnaire about the mexican maquiladora industry,showing that these variables are *** a 95%confidence level,the model was evaluated using the partial least squares *** findings indicate that the relationships between KAI and GEm and KAI and Vsm have the strongest relationship,followed by Vsm and ECs;however,Vsm has the strongest effect on *** on these findings,it is recommended that managers adopt a continuous improvement(KAI)approach based on working directly on the shop floor(GEm and Vsm)to support their decisions regarding economic growth(ECs).

Accurate information on the thermal preference and specialization of species is needed to understand and predict spe- cies geographical range size and vulnerability to climate change. Here we estimate the position and breadth of species within thermal gradients based on the shape of the response curve of species abundance to temperature. The objective of the study is to compare the measurements of this approach based on abundance data with those of the classical approach using species＇ occur- rence data. The relationship between species＇ relative abundance and minimum winter temperature of 106 bird species wintering in the Iberian Peninsula is modeled at 100 Km2 resolution with quadratic logistic regressions. From these models we calculated the preferred temperature of species as the temperature at which the abundance is maximized, and the thermal breadth of species as the relative area under the temperature-abundance curve. We also estimated the thermal preferences and breadth of species as the average temperature and temperature range of the UTm cells in which the species are present. The abundance-temperature response curves reveal that birds prefer higher temperatures to overwinter, and are more thermally selective, than is measured by the classical approach. moreover, response curves detect a higher inter-specific variability in both thermal preferences and ther- mal breadth of species. As occurrence data gives the same weight to cells with one or many individuals, the average temperature of the cells in which the species is present roughly reflects the average temperature in the region of study and not the environ- mental preferences of species .

The ecological consequences of climate extreme events are still poorly understood, especially those related to cold episodes. Winter cold spells might imperil the energy balance of small passerines, thus compromising their survivorship. Here we analyze how the abundance and habitat use of three tree-gleaning passerine species wintering in a montane oakwood of central spain at ca. 1,300 m a.s.1, was influenced by the cold wave that hit Europe in February 2012. We monitored temperature, wind and the relative abundance of great tit Parus major, blue tit Cyanistes caeruleus and long-tailed tit Aegithalos caudatus in 15 plots throughout three periods： before, during and after the cold wave. Our results clearly rule out widespread mortality and temporal migration of the studied passerine populations, as the abundance of these species did not diminish during the cold wave. moreover, the species usually foraging higher in the tree canopy -and thus more exposed to windmoved to the less windy woodland plots （long-tailed tit） and reduced their foraging height above ground during the cold wave （long-tailed tit and blue tit）, probably to mitigate the deleterious effects of wind chill. Therefore, these forest birds were able to cope with a dry cold wave that was statistically extreme in terms of temperature and wind chill, according to the historic climate records of the region. It seems that, at least when foraging substrates are not heavily covered by snow or ice, mediterranean birds can resist an extreme cold wave [Current Zoology 60 （4）： 429-437, 2014].
