Phosphorus fractions and sorption dynamics in the sediments of two Ca-sO4 water reservoirs in the central Argentine Andes

Phosphorus（P） fractionation and sorption behavior were studied in the sediments of two calcium-sulfate(Ca-sO4: Ca2+170 mg l-1; sO42-400 mg l-1) water reservoirs in the southern central Argentine Andes-El Carrizal Reservoir（ECR）,which stratifies in summer and El Nihuil Reservoir（ENR）,which is vertically mixed throughout the year. sediment size classes reflected the lithology of both basins and the reservoirs relative location: ECR（downstream from a valley adjacent to a mountain environment） had higher clay proportions while the sand fraction was more important in ENR（just next to a mountain environment）.In both reservoirs, the chemical composition revealed low alteration and calcium enrichment. Total P content was relatively high(1.1-1.6 mg P kg-1dry weight) as expected from the contribution of marine formations. P fractionation was dominated by Ca-P（ECR, 69% and ENR, 63%） f.llowed by organic-P（23%）in summer-anoxic ECR and by iron/aluminum（fe/Al）-P（27%） in oxic ENR. Batch experiments showed that sorption behavior in ECR had a typical langmuir isotherm plot while in ENR that model fitted only at low dissolved P values(l-1) and co-precipitation evidence was observed at higher P concentrations. It is proposed that lower fe/Al-P content in anoxic（ECR） vs. oxic（ENR） sediments results from the P released from iron-bound phosphorus due to sulfate reduction-ferrous sulfide formation in an anoxic environment. This condition should enable ECR sediments to adsorb P into fresh oxidized iron,and ENR sediments to co-precipitate P with calcium due to fe/Al-P saturation, as observed in batch experiments. This paper constitutes the first description of phosphorus content and dynamics in reservoir sediments in arid central western Argentina, where water sulfate concentrations are naturally high due to basin lithology.

strong>METHOD:strong> We carry out an observational study where reviewed the PET/CT studies with PsMA marked with fluor-18 (sup>18sup>f) carried out from february 2019 to september 2020. We analyzed the average value of hepatic uptake sUV lean average (sUVlave), acquisition time, age, reason from the study, focal, multifocal and diffuse prostate uptake, analysis of the location of metastases, level of prostate specific antigen (PsA), we describe uptakes of non-prostate origin and focal uptakes in ribs without anatomical representation. strong>REsUlTs:strong> The average hepatic sUVlave was 9.7, the acquisition times were variable (52 - 183 minutes) without alterations in the white-background relationship, the most frequent indication for the study was staging, the uptake in ribs without anatomical representation were considered benign with certain characteristics, PET/CT has the ability to detect neoplastic activity with low PsA levels in lymph nodes static status. strong>CONClUsION:strong> PET/CT with sup>18sup>f-PsMA has advantages over bone scan and computed tomography of the abdomen and pelvis for the staging of prostate cancer.

In this work,Digital Twins based on Neural Networks for the steady state production of styrene were ***,both the Aspen Technology AI Model Builder(alternative 1)and a homemade Ms Excel VBA code connected to Aspen HYsYs and Aspen Plus(alternative 2)were used with this same *** raw data used for generating the Digital Twins were obtained from process simulations using Aspen HYsYs and/or Aspen Plus,which were connected through a recycle-like stream via automation for solving the entire simulation *** HYsYs was used for solving the pre-heating,reaction,and stabilization sections of the process whereas Aspen Plus ensured the computing of the separation and purification *** alternatives led to an excellent prediction showing the capability of creating Digital Twins from and for process simulation.

Global software Development （GsD） is a well established field of software engineering with the benefits of a global environment. software Project Management （sPM） plays a key role in the success of GsD. As a result, the need has arisen to study and evaluate the downsides of sPM for GsD, to thereby pave the way for the development of new methods, techniques, and tools with which to tackle them. This paper aims to identify and classify research on sPM approaches for GsD that are available in the literature, to identify their current weaknesses and strengths, and to analyze their applications in industry. We performed a systematic Mapping study （sMs） based on six classification criteria. Eighty-four papers were selected and analyzed. The results indicate that interest in sPM for GsD has been increasing since 2006. As a class of approaches, the most frequently reported methods （40%） are those used for coordination, planning, and monitoring, along with estimation techniques that can be used to better match a distributed project. sPM for GsD requires further investigation by researchers and practitioners, particularly with respect to cost and time estimations. These findings will help overcome the challenges that must to be considered in future sPM research for GsD, especially regarding collaboration and time-zone differences.

A paper, ＂Non-existence of shilnikov chaos in continuous-time systems＂ was published in the journal Applied Mathematics and Mechanics （English Edition）. The authors gave sufficient conditions for the non-existence of homoclinic and heteroclinic orbits in an nth-order autonomous system. Unfortunately, we show in this comment that the proof presented is erroneous and the result is invalid. We also provide two counterexamples of the wrong criterion stated by the authors.

We investigated the effect of annealing time on the structure and optical properties of sr WO4：Eu^3＋ powders prepared by the non-hydrolytic sol-gel method and heat treated at 800 ℃ for 2,4,8 and 16 *** and differential thermal analyses revealed that sr WO4：Eu^3＋ powders were obtained at about 800 ℃.X-ray diffraction patterns and Rietveld refinement data confirmed that all powders had a scheelite-type tetragonal ***-Raman and fourier transform infrared spectra indicated structural order at short range and anti-symmetric stretching vibrations of O-W-O bonds associated with tetrahedral[WO4]*** properties were investigated by ultraviolet-visible（UV-vis）diffuse reflectance,and photoluminescence（Pl）data which provided the evolution of quantum efficiency（η）and lifetime（τ）.UV-vis spectroscopy evidenced intermediate energy levels within the band gap of sr WO4：Eu^3＋ *** properties validated that the Eu^3＋ electric-dipole（^5D0→^7f2）transition in Pl emission spectra was dominant which proved that Eu^3＋ ions were positioned in a site without an inversion center.[（^5D0→^7f2）/（^5D0→^7f1）]band ratios showed that Eu^3＋ ions were located in a low symmetry *** Pl emission,ηandτproved the dependence on the annealing time in the behavior of sr WO4：Eu3＋powders with a higher relative emission Pl intensity as well as higherηandτvalues related to other samples when heat treated at 800℃ for 8 h.

AIM To assess the viability of orthotopic and heterotopic patient-derived pancreatic cancer xenografts implanted into nude *** This study presents a prospective experimental analytical f.llow-up of the development of tumours in mice upon implantation of human pancreatic adenocarcinoma samples. specimens were obtained surgically from patients with a pathological diagnosis of pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Tumour samples from pancreatic cancer patients were transplanted into nude mice in three different locations(intraperitoneal, subcutaneous and pancreatic). Histological analysis(haematoxylin-eosin and Masson's trichrome staining) and immunohistochemical assessment of apoptosis(TUNEl), proliferation(Ki-67), angiogenesis(CD31) and fibrogenesis(α-sMA) were performed. When a tumour xenograft reached the target size, it was reimplanted in a new nude mouse. Three sequential tumour xenograft generations were generated(f1, f2 and f3).REsUlTs The overall tumour engraftment rate was 61.1%. The subcutaneous model was most effective in terms of tissue growth(69.9%), f.llowed by intraperitoneal(57.6%) and pancreatic(55%) models. Tumour development was faster in the subcutaneous model(17.7 ± 2.6 wk) compared with the pancreatic(23.1 ± 2.3 wk) and intraperitoneal(25.0 ± 2.7 wk) models(P = 0.064). There was a progressive increase in the tumour engraftment rate over successive generations for all three models(f1 28.1% vs f2 71.4% vs f3 80.9%, P significant differences in tumour xenograft differentiation and cell proliferation between human samples and the three experimental models among the sequential generations of tumour xenografts. However, a progressive decrease in fibrosis, fibrogenesis, tumour vascularisation and apoptosis was observed in the three experimental models compared with the human samples. Coal is the most abundant fossil fuel in the world. Because of the growth of coal mining, coal-fired power plants and coal-burning industries, the increase of the emission of particulates(coarse, fine or ultrafine)is of great concern. There is a relationship between increasing human morbidity and mortality and progressive environmental air pollution caused by these types of particles. Thus, the knowledge of the physico-chemical composition and ambient concentrations of coal-derived nanoparticles will improve pollution control strategy. Given the current importance of this area of research, the advanced characterization of this coal combustion-derived nanoparticles/nanominerals as well as hazardous elements is likely to be one of the hottest research fields in coming days. In this review, we try to compile the existing knowledge on coal-derived nanoparticles/nanominerals and discuss the advanced level of characterization techniques for future research. This review also provides some of aspects of health risks associated with exposure to ambient nanoparticles. In addition, the presence of some of the hazardous elements in coal and coal combustion activities is also reviewed.
