Air transport systems are highly dynamic at temporal scales from minutes to *** dynamic behavior not only characterizes the evolution of the system but also affect the system＇s *** the evolutionary mechanisms is thus fundamental in order to better design optimal air transport networks that benefits companies,passengers and the *** this review,we briefly present and discuss the state-of-the-art on time-evolving air transport *** distinguish the structural analysis of sequences of network snapshots,ideal for long-term network evolution（*** evolution）,and temporal paths,preferred for short-term dynamics（*** evolution）.We emphasize that most previous research focused on the first modeling approach（***-term） whereas only a few studies look at high-resolution temporal *** conclude the review highlighting that much research remains to be done,both to apply already available methods and to develop new measures for temporal paths on air transport *** particular,we identify that the study of delays,network resilience and optimization of resources（aircraft and crew） are critical topics.

Purpose： The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between different types of sport expertise （externally-paced vs. self-paced sports） and vigilance performance in children by evaluating the cardiovascular fitness level of the participants. Methods： Three groups of children （11.0 ± 0.2 years） differentiated in terms of their regular sport participation （football players, n = 20; track and field athletes, n = 20; non-athletic controls, n = 20） took part in the study. In one session, participants performed the Leger Multi-stage fitness test to estimate their aerobic fitness level. In another session, participants completed the Psychomotor Vigilance Task （PVT） to evaluate their vigilance performance under 2 conditions of velocity demands （normal vs. speed）. Results： The results revealed that both groups of sport practitioners had higher cardiovascular fitness than non-athlete controls. In contrast, no significant differences in the performance PVT were found between track and field athletes and controls. Crucially, football players showed better performance in the PVT than track and field athletes and controls. These between-group differences were not modulated by the speed demands of the task. Conclusion： The major novel finding of this research points to a positive relationship between sport participation and vigilance performance during childhood. We discuss our results in terms of the different hypotheses put forward in the literature to explain the relationship between regular exercise and cognitive fimctioning： the ＂cardiovascular fitness＂ and the ＂cognitive component skills＂ hypotheses.2018 Published by elsevier B.V. on behalf of Shanghai University of Sport. There have been major developments in endoscopic imaging techniques in recent *** with high definition and magnification can provide high quality images that allow for the histological estimation of lesions in vivo and in situ when combined with ancillary enhancement techniques such as chromoendoscopy(Ce)and virtual Ce(narrow band imaging fujinon intelligent chromoendoscopy,or i-Scan).Despite the enormous potential for these advanced techniques,their value and feasibility in the clinic are still doubted,particularly in cases of colonic polyps that are slated for removal,where in vivo characterization may be deemed ***,there are several advantages offered by such advanced endoscopic *** with or without magnification demonstrates highly accurate histology and invasion depth prediction,and virtual Ce is a feasible and less cumbersome alternative to Ce in terms of histological estimation,though not sufficiently accurate for depth invasion ***,the supplementary information provided by advanced imaging systems can assist the endoscopist in the selection of a strategic approach,such as in deciding whether a colonic lesion should be resected,left in situ,or requires more intensive surgical ***,advanced high-resolution imaging techniques may be more cost effective,such that histopathology of lowrisk lesions following resection can be *** results of these evaluations and comparisons with traditional Ce are presented and *** together,the benefits provided by these advanced capabilities justify their development,and advocates their use for the treatment and management of colonic polyps.

Whole-genome duplications(WGDs)are regarded as important drivers of macroevolution in plants(Clark and Donoghue,2018).However,there are few studies that test a connection between WGDs and evolutionary *** proper study of evolutionary patterns related to WGDs needs a well-resolved phylogeny,accurate dates of the WGD events,and historical reconstructions of the evolutionary novelties(Clark and Donoghue,2018).The advent of exhaustive phylogenomic studies is becoming a promising way to solve these issues,as wholegenome data can help clarify obscure phylogenetic relationships,evaluate patterns associated with WGDs,and track down the evolution of life-history traits that shaped plant lineages(Bellot et al.,2020).

In the last 30 years,the scientific community has developed and proposed different models and numerical approaches for the study of vibrations induced by railway *** of them are formulated in the frequency/wave number domain and with a 2.5D ***-dimensional numerical models formulated in the time/space domain are less frequently used,mainly due to their high computational ***,these models present very attractive characteristics,such as the possibility of considering nonlinear behaviors or the modelling of excess pore pressure and non-homogeneous and non-periodic geometries in the longitudinal direction of the *** this study,two 3D numerical approaches formulated in the time/space domain are compared and experimentally *** first one consists of a finite element approach and the second one of a finite difference *** experimental validation in an actual case situated in Carregado(Portugal)shows an acceptable fitting between the numerical results and the actual measurements for both ***,there are some differences among *** study therefore includes some recommendations for their use in practical soil dynamics and geotechnical engineering.

Dear editor, Arsenic (As) is a harmful metalloid that occurs in soil and water;its concentration varies considerably among geographic regions, with groundwater being the principal source of human contamination (Smedley and Kinniburgh, 2002). Besides the direct contamination effect of drinking water that contains high As concentration, human poisoning may also occur after ingestion of contaminated food.

The ability to quickly develop germplasm having tolerance to several complex polygenic inherited abiotic and biotic stresses combined is critical to the resilience of cropping systems in the face of climate change. Molecular breeding offers the tools to accelerate cereal breeding; however, suitable phenotyping proto- cols are essential to ensure that the much-anticipated benefits of molecular breeding can be realized. To facilitate the full potential of molecular tools, greater emphasis needs to be given to reducing the within-experimental site variability, application of stress and characterization of the environment and appropriate phenotyping tools. Yield is a function of many processes throughout the plantcycle, and thus integrative traits that encompass crop performance over time or organization level （i.e. canopy level） will provide a better alternative to instantaneous measurements which provide only a snapshot of a given plant process. Many new phenotyping tools based on remote sensing are now available including non-destructive measurements of growth-related parameters based on spectral reflectance and infrared thermometry to estimate plant water status. Here we describe key field phenotyping protocols for maize with emphasis on tolerance to drought and low nitrogen.

To increase maize （Zea mays L.） yields in drought-prone environments and offset predicted maize yield losses under future climates, the development of improved breeding pipelines using a multi-disciplinary approach is essential. elucidating key growth processes will provide opportunities to improve drought breeding progress through the identification of key phenotypic traits, ideotypes, and donors. In this study, we tested a large set of tropical and subtropical maize inbreds and single cross hybrids under reproductive stage drought stress and well-watered conditions. Patterns of biomass production, senescence, and plant water status were measured throughout the crop cycle. Under drought stress, early biomass production prior to anthesis was important for inbred yield, while delayed senescence was important for hybrid yield. Under well-watered conditions, the ability to maintain a high biomass throughout the growing cycle was crucial for inbred yield, while a stay-green pattern was important for hybrid yield. While new quantitative phenotyping tools such as spectral reflectance （Normalized Difference Vegetation Index, NDVI） allowed for the characterization of growth and senescence patterns as well as yield, qualitative measurements of canopy senescence were also found to be associated with grain yield.
