Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative condition characterized by motor impairments caused by the selective loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia *** is an effective and well-tolerated dopamine replacement ***,levodopa provides only symptomatic improvements,without affecting the underlying pathology,and is associated with side effects after long-term ***-based replacement is a promising strategy that offers the possibility to replace lost neurons in Parkinson’s disease *** studies of transplantation of human fetal ventral mesencephalic tissue have provided evidence that the grafted dopaminergic neurons can reinnervate the striatum,release dopamine,integrate into the host neural circuits,and improve motor *** of the limiting factors for cell therapy in Parkinson’s disease is the low survival rate of grafted dopaminergic *** factors could cause cell death of dopaminergic neurons after grafting such as mechanical trauma,growth factor deprivation,hypoxia,and *** factors play an essential role in the survival of grafted ***,direct,timely,and controllable delivery of neurotrophic factors into the brain faces important *** types of cells secrete neurotrophic factors constitutively and co-transplantation of these cells with dopaminergic neurons represents a feasible strategy to increase neuronal *** this review,we provide a general overview of the pioneering studies on cell transplantation developed in patients and animal models of Parkinson’s disease,with a focus on neurotrophic factor-secreting cells,with a particular interest in mesenchymal stromal cells;that co-implanted with dopaminergic neurons would serve as a strategy to increase cell survival and improve graft outcomes.

BACKGROUND Acute fibroid complications are ***,failure to recognize and treat acute complications expeditiously when they occur can lead to catastrophic,even deadly,*** is a rare but potentially fatal condition resulting from infarction and infection of a fibroid through bacterial seeding and direct,hematogenous,or lymphatic *** though the diagnosis is established through clinical and laboratory findings,imaging is an important complementary method to support the suspected *** sUMMARY Herein,we report a case of a pyomyoma in a nulliparous woman previously diagnosed with uterine leiomyomatosis according to ultrasound *** patient had previously attended the emergency room due to hypogastric pain unresponsive to *** a week of persistent pain,she developed sepsis without any identifiable *** resonance imaging revealed findings compatible with uterine myomatosis with red degeneration,and a possible diagnosis of a pyomyoma was made according to the imaging findings along with the patient’s clinical *** decided to perform myomectomy(which is an infrequently performed surgical treatment due to the procedure’s intrinsic implic-ations)due to the patient’s desire to preserve *** results revealed a uterine leiomyoma with coagulative and liquefactive necrosis,while the tissue culture showed gram-negative cocci bacteria,which were successfully treated using antibiotic *** patient’s health status improved after several *** The main diagnostic tools to evaluate pyomyomas are the clinical and laboratory findings as well as tissue ***,magnetic resonance imaging can help to corroborate these findings as well as to better characterize myomas with its different complications.

It is increasingly common to find alarming news related to tragic events occurring in schools around the *** able to deal with these situations without getting hurt is a task not suitable for *** general,teachers are the ones who must deal with this type of situation in addition to other daily problems that appear in any classroom that make the level of stress to which they are subjected can become *** research aims to know the current situation of teachers in a region of southeastern spain in terms of their level of work stress,resilience,and other associated variables,for which an ex post facto quantitative approach study was *** this purpose,an ad hoc sociodemographic questionnaire,and questions based on the Teaching and Learning International survey of the Organization for economic Co-Operation and Development,the Maslach Burnout Inventory,and the Brief Resilient Coping scale were *** participating sample consisted of 470 *** main findings were that 6%of teachers had burnout(high emotional exhaustion,high cynicism,and low professional effectiveness simultaneously).Resilience correlated inversely with stress,emotional exhaustion,cynicism,excessive teaching,and difficulty maintaining classroom *** conclusion,knowing the needs of teachers allows us to reflect on what kind of prevention and intervention programs are necessary to improve the well-being of teachers and thus improve the quality of education.

Background The nationally determined contribution（NDC） presented by Argentina within the framework of the Paris Agreement is aligned with the decisions made in the context of the United Nations Framework Conven-tion on Climate Change（UNFCCC） on the reduction of emissions derived from deforestation and forest degradation, as well as forest carbon conservation（ReDD+）. In addition, climate change constitutes one of the greatest threats to forest biodiversity and ecosystem services. However, the soil organic carbon（sOC） stocks of native forests have not been incorporated into the Forest Reference emission Levels calculations and for conservation planning under cli-mate variability due to a lack of information. The objectives of this study were:（i） to model sOC stocks to 30 cm of native forests at a national scale using climatic, topographic and vegetation as predictor variables, and（ii） to relate sOC stocks with spatial–temporal remotely sensed indices to determine biodiversity conservation concerns due to threats from high inter-annual climate *** We used 1040 forest soil samples（0–30 cm） to generate spatially explicit estimates of sOC native forests in Argentina at a spatial resolution of approximately 200 m. We selected 52 potential predictive environmental covari-ates, which represent key factors for the spatial distribution of sOC. All covariate maps were uploaded to the Google earth engine cloud-based computing platform for subsequent modelling. To determine the biodiversity threats from high inter-annual climate variability, we employed the spatial–temporal satellite-derived indices based on enhanced Vegetation Index（eVI） and land surface temperature（LsT） images from Landsat *** sOC model（0–30 cm depth） prediction accounted for 69% of the variation of this soil property across the whole native forest coverage in Argentina. Altitudinal seasonality as a potential driver of morphological diversification in rear-edge bird populations

Populations at the low latitude limits of a species range(rear-edge populations)are often considered more vulnerable to climate ***,their ability to track different environmental settings at a regional scale has been widely overlooked,although this may be relevant to accurately assess their adaptive capacity to cope with ongoing *** we tested whether the endemic African Chaffinch(Fringilla coelebs africana)tracks environmental changes(*** temperatures,snow cover)by rearranging their numbers between seasons(spring ***)along the altitude gradients of its northwestern African *** additionally tested whether these seasonal changes in abundance were paralleled by morphological variation,suggesting a process of population *** assessed African Chaffinch abundance in tree covered farmland and woodland sites distributed along an altitude gradient in spring and *** addition,we captured and measured chaffinches within the study gradient to explore the patterns of morphological *** results showed that chaffinches shifted to lowlands from snow covered highlands during *** addition,highland individuals showed longer and more concave wings than their lowland *** morphological traits are usually related to flight efficiency in migratory birds,which suggest the presence of altitudinal movements aimed to track the environmental seasonality caused by *** results suggest a potential role of altitudinal seasonality as a driver of regional diversification within the African Chaffinch populations,which could be occurring in other North African avian species given their relatively high endemicity in the *** evolutionary and conservation implications of these displacements have been often overlooked despite they can shape the adaptive capacity of rear-edge bird populations to face the ongoing environmental changes in this peripheral area of the Palearctic.

A novel and stretchable carbon-nanotube/Ni@TiO_(2):W photocatalytic composite for the complete removal of diclofenac drug from the drinking water

We present the structural,morphological and photocatalytic properties of stretchable composites made with carbon nanotubes (CNTs),silicon rubber and Ni@TiO_(2):W nanoparticles(TiWNi NPs) with average size of 37±2 *** images showed that the TiWNi NPs decorated the surface of the CNT fibers,which are oriented in a preferential *** NPs presented a mixture of anatase/rutile phases with cubic *** performance of the TiWNi powders and stretchable composites was evaluated for the photocatalytic degradation of diclofenac (DCF) anti-inflammatory drug under ultraviolet-visible *** results revealed that the maximum DCF degradation percentages were 34.6%,91.9%,97.1%,98.5%and 100%for the CNT composite (stretched at 0%),TiWNi powders,CNT+TiWNi(stretched at 0%),CNT+TiWNi (stretched at 50%) and CNT+TiWNi (stretched at 100%),***,stretching the CNT+TiWNi composites was a good strategy to enhance the DCF degradation percentage from 97.1%to 100%,since stretching created additional defects (oxygen vacancies) that acted as electron sink,delaying the electron-hole recombination,and favors the DCF ***/absorbance measurements confirmed the presence of such ***,the reactive oxygen species (ROs) were determined by the scavenger’s experiments and found that the main ROs were the·OH and O_(2)-radicals,which attacked the DCF molecules,causing their *** results of this investigation confirmed that the stretchable CNT/TiWNi-based composites are a viable alternative to remove pharmaceutical contaminants from water and can be manually separated from the decontaminated water,which is unviable using photocatalytic powders.
