Revealing the Multifunctional Electrocatalysis of Indium-Modulated Phthalocyanine for High-Performance Lithium-Sulfur Batteries

The sluggish kinetics of complicated multiphase conversions and the severe shuttling effect of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)significantly hinder the applications of Li-S battery,which is one of the most promising candidates for the next-generation energy storage ***,a bifunctional electrocatalyst,indium phthalocyanine self-assembled with carbon nanotubes(InPc@CNT)composite material,is proposed to promote the conversion kinetics of both reduction and oxidation processes,demonstrating a bidirectional catalytic effect on both nucleation and dissolution of Li_(2)S *** theoretical calculation shows that the unique electronic configuration of InPc@CNT is conducive to trapping soluble polysulfides in the reduction process,as well as the modulation of electron transfer dynamics also endows the dissolution of Li_(2)S in the oxidation reaction,which will accelerate the effectiveness of catalytic conversion and facilitate sulfur ***,the InPc@CNT modified separator displays lower overpotential for polysulfide transformation,alleviating polarization of electrode during *** integrated spectroscopy analysis,HRTEM,and electrochemical study reveal that the InPc@CNT acts as an efficient multifunctional catalytic center to satisfy the requirements of accelerating charging and discharging ***,the Li-S battery with InPc@CNT-modified separator obtains a discharge-specific capacity of 1415 mAh g^(-1)at a high rate of 0.5 ***,the 2 Ah Li-S pouch cells deliver 315 Wh kg^(-1)and achieved 80%capacity retention after 50 cycles at 0.1 C with a high sulfur loading of 10 mg cm^(-2).Our study provides a practical method to introduce bifunctional electrocatalysts for boosting the electrochemical properties of Li-S batteries.

BACKGROUND Esophageal cysts are relatively rare in clinical practice,with most of the literature comprising case *** cysts protruding into the thyroid gland are easily misdiagnosed as thyroid *** such cases have been reported so *** SUMMARY This article reports the case of a 31-year-old adult male diagnosed with thyroid nodules before *** patient underwent left thyroidectomy and *** the surgery,esophageal cysts were identified in the esophageal muscle and thyroid *** pathology results confirmed a nodular goiter combined with esophageal ***,the patient developed a neck infection and underwent another operation and broad-spectrum antibiotic treatment for *** We report the first clinical case of an esophageal cyst located within the thyroid gland that was successfully treated *** cyst located within the thyroid gland cause difficulties in *** the present study,the contents of the esophageal cysts were calcified foci,and a small amount of fluid mixture,which were easily misdiagnosed as thyroid nodules and misled the surgical methods.

MGCPN:An Efficient Deep Learning Model for Tibetan Plateau Precipitation Nowcasting Based on the IMERG Data

The sparse and uneven placement of rain gauges across the Tibetan Plateau(TP) impedes the acquisition of precise,high-resolution precipitation measurements,thus challenging the reliability of forecast *** address such a challenge,we introduce a model called Multisource Generative Adversarial Network-Convolutional Long Short-Term Memory(GAN-ConvLSTM) for Precipitation Nowcasting(MGCPN),which utilizes data products from the Integrated Multi-satellite Retrievals for global precipitation measurement(IMERG) data,offering high spatiotemporal resolution precipitation forecasts for upcoming periods ranging from 30 to 300 *** results of our study confirm that the implementation of the MGCPN model successfully addresses the problem of underestimating and blurring precipitation results that often arise with increasing forecast *** issue is a common challenge in precipitation forecasting ***,we have used multisource spatiotemporal datasets with integrated geographic elements for training and prediction to improve model *** model demonstrates its competence in generating precise precipitation nowcasting with IMERG data,offering valuable support for precipitation research and forecasting in the TP *** metrics results obtained from our study further emphasize the notable advantages of the MGCPN model;it outperforms the other considered models in the probability of detection(POD),critical success index,Heidke Skill Score,and mean absolute error,especially showing improvements in POD by approximately 33%,19%,and 8% compared to Convolutional Gated Recurrent Unit(ConvGRU),ConvLSTM,and small Attention-UNet(SmaAt-UNet) models.

Spherical micro-Ti particle(TiP)-reinforced AZ91 magnesium alloy composites were fabricated by semi-solid stirring assisted ultrasonic vibration,which were then subjected to hot *** microstructure results showed that the addition of Ti particles refined the grain size and decreased the texture intensity of the as-extruded AZ91 *** Al3Ti phase with a thickness of 100 nm formed at the Ti/Mg interface,which had a non-coherent relationship with the magnesium *** as-extruded 1 vol.%TiP/AZ91 composite exhibited the best comprehensive mechanical properties,with yield strength,ultimate tensile strength,and elongation at break of 366 MPa,456 MPa,and 14.6%,respectively,which were significantly higher than those of the AZ91 ***,the addition of Ti particles can improve the strength and ductility of the AZ91 alloy,demonstrating the value of magnesium matrix composites for commercial applications.

Onlineγ-spectrometry systems for inland waters,most of which extract samples in situ and in real time,are able to produce reliable activity concentration measurements for waterborne radionuclides only when they are distributed relatively uniformly and enter into a steady-state diffusion regime in the measurement *** protect residents’health and ensure the safety of the living environment,better timeliness is required for this measurement *** address this issue,this study established a mathematical model of the online waterγ-spectrometry system so that rapid warning and activity estimates can be obtained for water under non-steady-state(NSS)*** addition,the detection efficiency of the detector for radionuclides during the NSS diffusion process was determined by applying the computational fluid dynamics technique in conjunction with Monte Carlo *** this basis,a method was developed that allowed the online waterγ-spectrometry system to provide rapid warning and activity concentration estimates for radionuclides in *** analysis of the NSS-mode measurements of^(40)K radioactive solutions with different activity concentrations determined the optimum warning threshold and measurement time for producing accurate activity concentration estimates for *** experimental results show that the proposed NSS measurement method is able to give warning and yield accurate activity concentration estimates for radionuclides 55.42 and 69.42 min after the entry of a 10 Bq/L^(40)K radioactive solution into the measurement chamber,*** times are much shorter than the 90 min required by the conventional measurement ***,the NSS measurement method allows the measurement system to give rapid(within approximately 15 min)warning when the activity concentrations of some radionuclides reach their respective limits stipulated in the Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality of the WHO,suggesting that this method con

Dissolved organicmatter(DOM)is a heterogeneous pool of compounds and exhibits diverse adsorption characteristics with or without phosphorous(P)*** impacts of these factors on the burial and mobilization of organic carbon and P in aquatic ecosystems remain *** this study,an algae-derived DOM(ADOM)and a commercially available humic acid(HA)with distinct compositions were assessed for their adsorption behaviors onto iron(oxy)hydroxides(FeOx),both in the absence and presence of *** contained less aromatics but more protein-like and highly unsaturated structures with oxygen compounds(HUSO)than *** adsorption capacity of FeOx was significantly greater for ADOM than for ***-like and HUSO compounds in ADOM and humic-like compounds and macromolecular aromatics in HA were preferentially adsorbed by ***,ADOM demonstrated a stronger inhibitory effect on phosphate adsorption than *** observation suggests that the substantial release of autochthonous ADOM by algae could elevate internal P loading and pose challenges for the restoration of restore eutrophic *** presence of phosphate suppressed the adsorption of protein-like compounds in ADOM onto FeOx,resulting in an increase in the relative abundance of protein-like compounds and a decrease in the relative abundance of humic-like compounds in post-adsorption *** contrast,phosphate exhibited no discernible impact on the compositional fractionation of ***,our results show the source-composition characters of DOM influence the immobilization of both DOM and P in aquatic ecosystems through adsorption *** preferential adsorption of proteinaceous compounds within ADOM and aromatics within HA highlights the potential for the attachment with FeOx to diminish the original source-specific signatures of DOM,thereby contributing to the shared DOM characteristics observed across diverse aquatic environments.

Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)plays an important role in precision medicine that is hampered by the lack of contrast agents with high efficiency and the ability to translate diagnostic accuracy into therapeutic ***,we demonstrate a DNA-based MRI probe that overcomes previous single-mode enhancement and provides a mechanism of action for aggregationinduced dual-modal MRI signal enhancement.A facile method is developed to produce aggregated T_(1)/T_(2)dual-modal NaGdF_(4):Dy@PDA-DNA(PDA=polydopamine)MRI *** aggregated,this probe can further amplify MRI signal intensity and exhibit improved geometrical and positional stability in *** performance of the NaGdF_(4):Dy@PDA-DNA MRI probe toward MRI-guided preoperative planning and visualization-guided surgery is verified using an orthotopic tumor-bearing mouse *** result shows that the rapid metabolism of the degraded probe leads to the mitigation of long-term toxic ***,the developed high-performance MRI probe is of great significance for enhancing MRI diagnostic accuracy into precision medical therapeutic interventions.
