Electrocatalytic depolymerization of lignin into value-added chemicals offers a promising technique to make biorefining sustainable.Herein,we report a robust trimetallic PdNiBi electrocatalyst for reductive C–O bond cleavage of different lignin model dimers and oxidized lignin under mild conditions.The reduction reaction proceeds with complete substrate conversion and excellent yields toward monomers of phenols(80%–99%)and acetophenones(75%–96%)in the presence of an ionic liquid electrolyte with operational stability.Systematic experimental investigations together with density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the outstanding performance of the catalyst results from the synergistic effect of the metal elements,which facilitates the easier formation of a key Cαradical intermediate and the facile desorption of the as-formed products at the electrode.The results open up new opportunities for lignin valorization through the green electrocatalytic approach.

The association of neurogenesis and gliogenesis with glioma remains unclear.By conducting single-cell RNA-seq analyses on 26 gliomas,we reported their classification into primitive oligodendrocyte precursor cell(pri-OPC)-like and radial glia(RG)-like tumors and validated it in a public cohort and TCGA glioma.The RG-like tumors exhibited wild-type isocitrate dehydrogenase and tended to carry EGFR mutations,and the pri-OPC-like ones were prone to carrying TP53 mutations.Tumor subclones only in pri-OPC-like tumors showed substantially down-regulated MHC-I genes,suggesting their distinct immune evasion programs.Furthermore,the two subgroups appeared to extensively modulate glioma-infiltrating lymphocytes in distinct manners.Some specific genes not expressed in normal immune cells were found in glioma-infiltrating lymphocytes.For example,glial/glioma stem cell markers OLIG1/PTPRZ1 and B cell-specific receptors IGLC2/IGKC were expressed in pri-OPC-like and RG-like glioma-infiltrating lymphocytes,respectively.Their expression was positively correlated with those of immune checkpoint genes(e.g.,LGALS33)and poor survivals as validated by the increased expression of LGALS3 upon IGKC overexpression in Jurkat cells.This finding indicated a potential inhibitory role in tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and could provide a new way of cancer immune evasion.

In a hemodialysis process,the blood that runs through straight channels exchanges substances with the dialysate through a semi-permeable membrane.The waste products,such as urea and creatinine,are therefore removed from the plasma by the membrane.In the analysis of this process,determination of the ultra-filtration profile along the porous membrane surface remains a difficult problem.In this work,an analytical solution to the derivation of such a profile was detailed,and the feasibility of this solution was discussed.The ultra-filtration profile was found to be in a cosine shape.

Grain-size characteristics of linear dunes on the northern margin of Qarhan Salt Lake, northwestern China

In order to clarify the formation mechanism of linear dunes on the northern margin of Qarhan Salt Lake, northwestern China, we analyzed the grain-size and sorting parameters of the dune and interdune sands. The surface sands （0-30 ram） from the dune base to the crest of both flanks and interdune corridors were sampled along transects from upwind to downwind through the dune field. The results indicated that the grain-size distribution differed at different positions between and within the dunes. The frequency curve for dune sands mainly showed a bimodal distribution, while the interdune sediments showed a trimodal distribution. The grain size distribution of the linear dunes showed a finer crest pattern, i.e. the crests were composed of sands that were generally finer, better sorted than those of base sands. In addition, at the dune field scale, the dune crest sands were tending to become much finer but sorting became worse along the downwind transects. However, the grain-size parameters of sediments in the interdune corridors showed no clear pattern. The results demonstrated that the grain size and sorting parameters exhibited a systematic change not only at the individual scale but also at the dune field scale. Our results quantitatively estimate the limited role of cohesive sediments on the formation of linear dune under unidirectional wind regime. More attention should be paid to a long-term wind regime observation, internal sedimentary structures and their formation ages.

In terms of formation mechanisms of linear dunes,there are open arguments for their widespread distribution and multi-morphological diversities.In order to clarify the formation mechanism of linear dunes of Qarhan Salt Lake,we used pattern analysis method to analyze the statistical characteristics and spatial variation of their pattern parameters.Except at the west-northwest margin,the pattern parameters showed regular spatial variation from the up-middle part towards the downwind end of the dune field.Based on the cumulative probability plots for inter-crest spacing and crest length,we divided the linear dunes into three groups,which corresponding to the three evolution stages of these dunes.The first group comprises erosional relics,with shorter crests,smaller inter-crest spacing and more random dune orientation.The second group comprises dunes whose sand supply is just sufficient to maintain stability and these dunes are approaching the net erosion stage.The crest length and inter-crest spacing of these dunes are much larger than those of the first group,and dune orientation is closer to the resultant drift direction （RDD） .The last group comprises linear dunes that are still undergoing vertical accretion and longitudinal elongation,which follows the RDD of the modern wind regime.The presence of regular spatial variation of pattern parameters and a similar geometry with the vegetated linear dunes suggest that deposition and erosion coexist in the development and evolution of linear dunes of Qarhan Salt Lake,i.***.deposition predominates at the downwind end of linear dunes in the vertical accretion and longitudinal elongation stage,whereas erosion mainly occurs at the upwind end of linear dunes in the degradation stage.Therefore,the formation mechanism of linear dunes in Qarhan Salt Lake can be reasonably explained by the combination of depositional and erosional theories.

以钛酸丁酯、无水乙醇、冰乙酸为原料,以罗丹明B为模拟有机污染物,采用溶胶-凝胶法制备了一系列的TiO_(2)光催化剂,并利用XRD和物理吸附对催化剂进行了表征。考察了原料配比、凝胶时间、稀土掺杂种类、稀土掺杂量对TiO_(2)光催化罗丹明B性能的影响。结果表明:当钛酸比为1.5∶1、钛醇比为2∶1、凝胶时间为48 h、Pr掺杂量为2%时,TiO_(2)光催化罗丹明B的降解率最好。在光催化条件为罗丹明B初始质量浓度为4 mg·L^(-1)、催化剂质量0.05 g、光反应时间6 h时,罗丹明B的降解率达93.23%。

紫花苜蓿WL712为美国引入品种,在我国南方地区已有一定范围的种植,具有高产量和高品质的优点,但该品种对部分非生物胁迫具有较差的耐受性。为了探究该品种对南方地区不同胁迫的响应,本研究以生长21 d的WL712幼苗为试验材料,对其模拟了5种南方常见的胁迫,分别为高温、低温、干旱、渍水以及盐胁迫,通过测定生长指标及叶绿素含量、可溶性糖含量、可溶性蛋白含量、相对电导率、丙二醛(MDA)含量、过氧化物酶(POD)、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)和过氧化氢酶(CAT)活性共8个生理指标来分析其综合生理抗逆性。结果表明,南方地区的5种胁迫皆对紫花苜蓿的生长生理造成了显著的抑制作用(P<0.05),其中高温、低温及渍水胁迫下,WL712的生长情况相对其他两种胁迫更差,其株高、根长和生物量受到严重抑制,渗透调节物质(可溶性糖和可溶性蛋白)在胁迫下的提升效果相对较弱;其叶绿素含量的积累则在低温和渍水胁迫下受到严重抑制,叶片和根系中3种抗氧化酶(POD、SOD和CAT)对活性氧的清除能力相对较弱。综上所述,WL712自身具有相对较差的耐热性、耐寒性以及耐渍水能力,其中对低温和渍水尤其敏感,因此在南方地区进行种植时,应尽量避开低温潮湿和高热多雨的地区,或在种植前预处理并做好相应的管理措施,以保证该品种的产量和品质。

In spite of the explosive rise of research on memristive switching,more improvements in tunability,versatility,and hetero-integration are required through the discovery and application of novel materials.Herein,we report resistance switching in nano-thick two-dimensional(2D)crystals of bismuth selenium(BiSe).The BiSe devices exhibit nonvolatile bipolar resistance switching,volatile switching,and electrical bistable behavior in different conditions.The different memristive behavior of BiSe devices may be related to the concentration of Bi ions in this Bi-rich structure,which directly affects the capability of filaments forming.Furthermore,the external mechanical strain is applied in modulation of multi-layer BiSe devices.The memristive BiSe devices show a large on/off ratio of~10^(4)and retention time of~104 s.The discovery of memristive switching behavior in multi-layer BiSe is attributed to the forming of Bi filaments.The resistance switching behavior in multi-layer BiSe demonstrates the potential application in the flexible memories and functional integrated devices.

Background:Traumatic brain injury,one of the leading causes of death in adults under 40 years of age in the world,is frequently caused by mechanical shock,resulting in diffuse neuronal damage and long-term cognitive dysfunction.Many existing TBI animal models revival with expensive equipment or special room are needed or the processes of operations are complex and not easy to be widely used.Therefore,a simpler TBI model needs to be designed.Methods:Our TBI model is an innovation of the modeling method through air guns shutting rubber bullets.A core facet is the application of our designed rubber bullet impact device.It could focus the hitting power to the fixed site of the brain,thus triggering a mild closed head injury.Moreover,the degree of damage can be adjusted by the times of shots.Results:Our model induced blood-brain barrier leakage and diffused neuronal damage.Besides,it led to an increased level of Tau phosphorylation and resulted in cognitive dysfunction within several weeks post-injury.Conclusion:Our TBI model is not only simple and time-saving but also can simulate mild brain injuries in clinical.It is suitable for exploring pathobiological mechanisms as well as a screening of potential therapies for TBI.

目的研究血常规参数在儿童传染性单核细胞增多症(IM)中的诊断价值。方法回顾性收集2021年6月至2022年10月在洛阳市妇幼保健院初诊为儿童传染性单核细胞增多症(IM)患者60例为研究组,并选取同时期在该院体检的健康儿童40例为对照组。对入组患者的一般资料和实验室检查进行统计分析,比较各指标的差异。分析两组患者的白细胞(WBC)、中性粒细胞/淋巴细胞比值(NLR)、单核细胞/淋巴细胞比值(MLR)以及淋巴细胞群落参数:淋巴细胞复杂程度(L-X)、淋巴细胞荧光强度(L-Y)、淋巴细胞大小(L-Z)的表达差异。根据是否确诊为儿童IM,将研究组分为A组(IM组)和B组(巨细胞病毒及其他感染组),比较A组和B组的NLR、MLR以及L-X、L-Y、L-Z的差异。采用受试者工作特征(ROC)曲线分析NLR、MLR以及淋巴细胞群落参数L-Y、L-Z对IM患者的诊断和预测价值。结果研究组CRP、WBC显著高于对照组,NLR、MLR显著低于对照组(P0.05)。A组的L-Y、L-Z显著高于B组(P0.05)。ROC曲线分析NLR、MLR、淋巴细胞群落参数L-Y、L-Z预测IM的敏感性分别为0.806、0.889、0.694、0.750,特异性分别为0.828、0.703、0.937、0.891,曲线下面积分别为0.889、0.868、0.862、0.877,最佳截断值分别为0.485、0.095、803.1、961.85。结论血细胞参数NLR、MLR以及淋巴细胞群落参数L-Y、L-Z分别表达机体的免疫功能状态以及量化细胞内部结构变化,更敏感反映儿童IM疾病的改变,可优化儿童IM的临床诊断方案,对儿童IM有较高的诊断价值,可作为诊断该疾病的重要参考指标。
